Thimbol launches an arrow up towards the rope and birds but it misses both targets by an inch as a hust of wind causes them to shift in the air just a bit.
When you want to grab a creature or wrestle with it, you can use the Attack action to make a special melee attack, a grapple. If you're able to make multiple attacks with the Attack action, this attack replaces one of them.
The target of your grapple must be no more than one size larger than you and must be within your reach. Using at least one free hand, you try to seize the target by making a grapple check instead of an attack roll: a Strength (Athletics) check contested by the target's Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check (the target chooses the ability to use). If you succeed, you subject the target to the grappled condition. The condition specifies the things that end it, and you can release the target whenever you like (no action required).
Escaping a Grapple. A grappled creature can use its action to escape. To do so, it must succeed on a Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check contested by your Strength (Athletics) check.
Moving a Grappled Creature. When you move, you can drag or carry the grappled creature with you, but your speed is halved, unless the creature is two or more sizes smaller than you.

Fire, fire everywhere. The fireball and the runes bursting has made everything a inferno, Lorarila sees Navek protecting her and strains to continue the fight. Watching Navek grappling the man, and running over to grab his foot.

Navek picks the bloodscale up by the neck, leaving his feet dangling above the ground. Grin smiles at him right as Mo runs up and plunges his longsword into his side (dealing 7 damage), causing blood to pour out from between his ribs and down his chin. Lorarila attempts to grab his foot to shock and daze Gein but is unable to get a hold of the flailing legs in the smokey room.
Grin, a moment later will spit blood into Naveks face before giving him a wink. "Goodnight"
***Grin is going to cast sleep at 3rd level centered on himself and use a point of meta magic to cast it "Carefully"... total HP sleep = 36, and since Lorarila cannot be put to sleep I assume that number is just split between Mo, Navek, and Sayre... please tell me if any of those 3 are still awake?**
(Assuming navel falls asleep) Grin will turn around and grab the rope that was dropped down the fireplace by the birds and the birds will begin to pull him up the fireplace
Everyone upstairs needs to roll a con 13 save at the start of their turn or take 1d8 fire damage and the terrain is now considered obscured/ difficult due to the heat and smoke
Unless Sayre has less 22 or less HP, Navek is the only one unconscious. Also, Grin wouldn't be able to protect himself from it with "careful" since sleep doesn't come with a saving throw. Though, I imagine he can angle it so that at the very least it only affects Navek?

As Grin grabs thd rope Sayre grabs out her bow loosing an arrow at him Attack: 12 Damage: 11 casting hex for 2 additional damage
OOC: Also his action was casting sleep he gets additional action to grab rope to escape? I get movement to the rope but surely it's an action to grab it or would that be considered interacting with an object?
It would count as movement/Interact with an Object. Though he couldn't Dash up it to try and get away. faster, and he'd be moving at 1/2 speed climbing.
You, Mo, and Lora(if she had a dagger or some other makeshift weapon) in hand also get an AoO before you make that archery shot.

Sayre hits Grin hard for 8 damage as she fires an arrow into his back, spraying blood up the wall.
(After the AOO's against grin I will post the start of the next initiative including the birds and in the order and wolves...I honestly dont think he is going to make it out alive lol. )
I dont want to skip you, I know your arrow missed and you are outside right? today has been crazy so remind me if I am missing anything please. I definitely dont want to skip anyone.

(So the upstairs fireplace is not lit and with the upstairs engulfed in lots of flame it is one of the least no-fire things current)
so you are attempting to grapple Grin... let me look up how that works lol.)

OOC: Nope. I've got 24.
Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
(navek would be the main target so yeah, he would have tried to make sure he got Navek and not himself.. anyone else would have been a bonus but yeah)
so as navek falls to the ground and Grin starts to escape up the chimney go ahead and roll AOO against him if you are close enough.
