SP would take a crossbow and 10 bolts unless someone else wants them. He already has one but extra ammo is always good and he would sell the light crossbow if no one wanted it.
Dihek'nir sheathes his longsword and tries to determine which way to go. Is there any markings or smells or sounds that would give us some hints? Perception: 2, Stealth: 20
You all make a bit of noise getting situated, but stopping to listen you don't hear anyone else coming.
It's dark down here, there is a lantern on the wall, just down the hall to the north. You don't hear or smell anything particular coming from either direction.
since nobody objected, I'm going to say you went south to check it out first, the hallway comes to an end at a sort of storage room. It's dusty and looks mostly unused, some old crates sit around the edges of this room.
It doesn't look like anything interesting is in here, but I'll let someone roll investigation if you want.
The five of you make your way North, and peer around the illuminated corner. You can see an empty makeshift bedroom, there are five empty cots, and a closed door to another room. Faint sounds of talking can be heard from beyond the door.
Gendal takes a defensive position using a cot for cover and whispers to his friends. If we draw them through single file we should destroy them easily. I don't know how many there are so I doubt we can sneak past, I don't see a way around and we've already taken a beating. We don't need a head on fight. In fact if we surprise them right when the door opens we may get off a ranged attack as a group and take them out or at least soften them up. Thoughts?
Loot the bodies. Gold, keys, clues, weapons. Anything in the area to tell us what's going on.
One Goblin has 10 copper peices, and the other has 2 silver pieces.
Each has a light crossbow and 10 bolts.
Both have tattoos on the backs of their necks that matches the symbol you've been seeing that indicates they work for the Xanathar Guild.
Looking around you assume you are in the basement of a larger building.
There is a hallway that connects the sewer room you came from to the goblin room, and also continues off to the north and south.

Lantern to the north? Maybe indicating people go that way...we might encounter more resistance. Try south first?

SP manages to open the crates, but nobody finds anything useful. Going to head North?
YUP, SP will turn around and work his way north, trying to be as sneaky as possible.

SP - its hard to hear what they're saying but you only hear two distinct voices.
SP will turn and hold up 2 fingers towards his companions before trying to gently and quietly wiggle the handle to determine if it is locked.
