Kintu didn't actually have much to his name, though the most valuable possession to the tortle being his spellbook. Finally having that he'd look to the others, "What are we doing here now? Are we continuing somewhere?"
Dolf quickly gets into his armor and grabs his gear. It's not much but it's all he has. After leaving the military he had decided to go and seek blood glory and riches. Not the best start he thinks to himself, but hopefully these guys know a way out.
I'm all for leaving, but if I get a chance for some payback on the way out I won't turn it down.
"The mindflayer that had imprisoned you and that was probably planning to eat your brain ran off through those doors, I was planning on heading that way and attempting to murder him with extreme violence if you wanted to come along." SP will say still poking the tortle.
Kintu paid the pokes little attention, now just assuming that was the proper custom. "I don't want to have to explore my way out of here alone only to end up in the same predicament. I'll follow metal one."
There are some torches around the walls providing enough light.
In the middle of this otherwise empty room is a stone pillar carved with a small symbol: a perfect circle with ten equidistant spokes radiating outward from its circumference. In the middle of this circle is a smaller circular indentation that bears a passing resemblance to a lidless eye. There doesn't appear to be any other exits from this room.
Reaching the new room, Kintu would walk about the new room before reaching the pillar and studying it curiously. A poke with his quarterstaff towards the symbol as he asks the others, "Did you find any useful items upon making it this far?"
Kintu you see a recess in the pillar that looks like it would hold a three inch sphere.
SP does a very thorough check of the pillar, and the room and eventually finds that a small section of wall is actually a secret doorway that pushes in.
SP, before proceeding will hand the spellbook that he totally remembers looting to his new turtle friend and loot the body of his fallen companion and hand his items to whoever wants them while keeping the sweet sweet gold.
Kintu - SP already said he took Gendal's Orb, and also that orb is too big for this hole.
SP - the door opens and reveals a dark stairwell. As you open it, dust and bits of rock wall fall away, making you think that this door hasn't been opened in a long time.

I'd like that

SP will nod to Kintu before proceeding through the doubledoors.
(Is there much light? 😬)

Investigation: 11
**A lot happened fairly quickly but SP would have seen:
The robed Mind Flayer continues to run away. You see a strange flash of light from the direction he was headed.
**The mindflayer ran in to this room and there was a flash of light and now he is not here.**
SP will look around the room for anything out of place

Kintu you see a recess in the pillar that looks like it would hold a three inch sphere.
SP does a very thorough check of the pillar, and the room and eventually finds that a small section of wall is actually a secret doorway that pushes in.
SP, before proceeding will hand the spellbook that he totally remembers looting to his new turtle friend and loot the body of his fallen companion and hand his items to whoever wants them while keeping the sweet sweet gold.
Gendal had 28gold, 5 silver, 4 copper. 2 daggers, 2 shortbows, quarterstaff, orb, and a magic whistle
The spellbook had the following spells in it;
SP took the gold and orb off of Gendal, leaving the rest on his very obvious and easily lootable corpse for anyone else to pick up.
Kintu would gladly accept the spellbook, tucking that into his shell and if there was no objection, take the orb as well.
"New friends, prepare yourself." Examining the symbol once again before placing the orb in its center.
SP will push on the secret door.
Kintu - SP already said he took Gendal's Orb, and also that orb is too big for this hole.
SP - the door opens and reveals a dark stairwell. As you open it, dust and bits of rock wall fall away, making you think that this door hasn't been opened in a long time.
