Lae removes the armor and sets it’s aside for whoever wants it. He places Embir on top of the pyre, crosses her arms, and places a coin over each of her eyes. “Goodbye friend.. may you find peace and may the Raven Queen greet you with benevolence.”
Lae can see the source, but no one else. You once more see the form of a tall, slender woman with flowing black hair and pale, porcelain skin wearing a blank porcelain mask. Looking closer, you once more notice the red irises through the mask. She seems a bit different than the last time you saw her (at the Vistani camp), though you cannot quite put your finger on exactly how or why she seems different. She beckons you and when you arrive, she speaks, an emotion in her voice she has not had before. "I am sorry. This was out of my hands, though I do not know why. Do not fret, she went straight to be with The Moon Maiden (Selune) almost before I had noticed. She sacrificed herself, not for the cult..." (she spits the distasteful word), "...but to save the wizard as well as the rest of you. That house was evil and, had there been no sacrifice, the house would not have let you leave . I know what I promised you. Just know that, for whatever reason, this one was beyond my reach. Keep the faith, my good Laeknishendr." She swirls into mist and is gone before you can really reply.
Lae’s mouth falls slightly open as he takes the woman’s words in. He slightly casts his head downward and closes his eyes in respect for his fallen friends, Embir now included in their number. As he internalizes his sorry he things inwardly, “I will keep the faith.. but, there can be no more deaths.. these people are my new friends and I won’t see them harmed by this infernal place!”
He turns back to Zander and says, “Ah, I don’t think I saw anything... probably just a trick of the light.”
As you sit down and order, the same man notices you and calls across the tavern, "You are back! Have you finished your other business then? Are you ready to talk to my sister yet?"

As the blaze burns, Lae, you see a movement in the shadows caused by the fire.
“Did anyone else see that?” Lae asks aloud.
OOC: Can Lae see the source of the movement?
No... See what?

Zander shrugs. Alright. What were we doing? Oh yeah, following this dog to find a girl. That was the most important thing.

Zennas does a function check on his belongings.
"Ready when you are."
“Ready as well.”
(Surviving the house puts you all at level 2!!!!!)
Awesome! Does that put us at a flat 300 XP, or did we gain a certain amount? Just for future XP calculations.

@Bfly I picked abyssal as one of my extra languages and would like to know what you said.
(Flat 300xp. Don't forget to add your CON mod when rolling up your hp.)
He said "May you see the light, young one." (He pm'd me.)
The dog once again takes off, but also once more stops in front of the tavern.
"Time for a drink it appears, I know I could use one."
Haha, after that house? Yeah. There's something about this tavern that we're not getting, though, let's drink on it.

“Agreed. We’ll raise a glass to Embir.”
As Lae enters the tavern he takes a closer look at the interior to try and discern what the party has been missing.
As you sit down and order, the same man notices you and calls across the tavern, "You are back! Have you finished your other business then? Are you ready to talk to my sister yet?"
Honestly, no. We are still looking for a young girl who ran away, and her dog keeps leading us here, but we have no idea why.

"Maybe my sister would know something? I'm sure information goes through the house in spite of....recent events."
