Your bolt, like Lae's attack goes wide, your bolt embedding itself in the vat next to the druid.
You all hear more creaking as creatures begin making their way down the steps from the balcony. The creatures you can see look like small woody shrubs (they are considered small size creatures) with roots that it can pull out of the ground to move and branches twisted together at the top to resemble a humanoid body with limbs.
As they are small, however, they are not very fast and thus, none can move far enough to attack this round.
The druid mutters some words and her skin darkens to a deep brown and hardens, now appearing much like a plant creature herself.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Focus on the caster! They might be controlling the little plant things."
Zander fires an arrow from their shortbow. Attack: 15 Damage: 9 piercing On Hit:
Grasping Arrow
A creature hit by the arrow takes an extra 4 poison damage, its speed is reduced by 10 ft., and it takes 2d6 slashing damage the first time on each turn it moves 1 ft. or more. The brambles last for 1 minute, until you use this option again, or until any creature uses an action to remove them with an Athletics check (DC 12).
You and the druid watch as the arrow hits. Shock registers on her face as she feels the foreign substance hit her bloodstream, then once again as the brambles climb up and begin to just poke at her hardened skin.
Necros, thinking the small creatures to be wood, moves to them, touches his thumbs together and a wave of flame emanates from his spread fingertips. Six of the creatures ignite and between the heat from the flames and the flames from their companions, the three creatures that manage to dodge still fall to the ground dead.
The bolt strikes right on her stomach and she staggers backward, but manages to stay standing. She looks very rough.
More of the wooden plant creatures make their way across the balcony and start moving down the stairs, past their fallen comrades, but, once again, not close enough to attack.
The druid mutters something and moves her hands, and you see vines sprouting up from the ground beneath all of you. (I need STR saving throws from all of you.)
Zennas and Lae are entangled and restrained by the vines (STR check as an action on your turn to break free), while Zander and Necros manage to bat them away (though the area still counts as difficult terrain).
(Zander is up, then Lae.)
