Lae still has him grappled correct? If so Lae will put a beefy arm around the mans throat and choke him for a few seconds, then let go and yell through gritted teeth, “Who are you and what are you doing here? Speak plainly!”
The choking causes him to stop moving briefly. As he takes a huge gulp of air his eyes seem a bit more clear. He raises his staff, "Nature bows to my every whim, for I have the vampire's staff." He chants and you watch as his skin turns to bark.
Alright, I see what's happening here. Zander lets his arrow fly at the bark-skinned druid with the vampire's staff. Kill him, he works for Strahd.
Attack: 13 Damage: 8
Then, with a burst of energy, Zander lets another arrow fly. (Action Surge!)
Attack: 10 Damage: 6
If one of those hits, I'll apply Grasping Arrow to it, if neither hits it doesn't get used up yet. Extra poison damage: 8
Grasping Arrow
A creature hit by the arrow takes an extra 2d6 poison damage, its speed is reduced by 10 ft., and it takes 2d6 slashing damage the first time on each turn it moves 1 ft. or more. The brambles last for 1 minute, until you use this option again, or until any creature uses an action to remove them with an Athletics check (DC 12)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
On Lae’s turn his hands will begin to glow with dark purple energy as he grabs at the now oaken druids throat once one and casts inflict wounds at second level..
201619 necrotic damage
(rolled with Adv. because I think I still have him grappled, if not take lowest number).
“Maybe we hold on to him and ask the owners of this place if they know who he is?” Lae says as he rears his head back to head butted the wildling.
Lae will attempt to knock him out with non-lethal damage... same as unarmed strike I presume? If so..

It hits, but he manages to stay standing (nat20 con save...tried to speed it up for you lol...you can roll 1d4 damage, though.)

(Ok. Anything from the Smoothhands brothers before we move to initiative?)
nothing new, but I'll roll mine.
Initiative: 23
-We are all just one failed saving throw away from someone else's fantasy...
Init 11
(Awesome. I rolled for the other 2 and Zander, you are up first, Necros on deck, Lae in the hole.)
Zander will hold his attack action until the creature does something hostile, then fire at it if it does.
Attack: 13 Damage: 4
-We are all just one failed saving throw away from someone else's fantasy...
(Ok. Then Necros is up, Lae on deck, Zennas in the hole. Unless you all plan to hold actions, in which case we could move to the druid's turn.)
(If the rest of you want to hold, for time's sake, we can say you convince Necros to also hold.)
(Top of the round. Zander, Necros, Lae, Zennas.)

20 16 19 necrotic damage
(rolled with Adv. because I think I still have him grappled, if not take lowest number).
You watch as your arrows bounce harmlessly off the bark skin.
Necros casts his green energy at the creature and manages to hit him in spite of Lae's grapple. (5 damage)
Necros's blast so nearby throws off your intended spell, Lae, and you unfortunately miss.
(Zennas is up.)
Zennas finds a safe location to stand then tries to find a safe location to sink a bolt into the druids bark.
Crossbow Attack: 21 Damage: 11
Sneak attack damage: 3
Your bolt finds a vital spot and the druid now looks very hurt.
In anger, the druid attempts to break the grapple by hitting Lae with his staff, but between the pain and the strength of the grapple, he misses.
(Top of the round. Zander, Necros, Lae, Zennas.)
Zander strikes again! Attack: 17 Damage: 5
-We are all just one failed saving throw away from someone else's fantasy...
Your arrow finds purchase in the bark skin. (He is looking really rough.)
Necros fires once more. The green energy also hits. (3 damage) The druid is somehow still standing.
(Lae is up, then Zennas.)
"Argh.." Lae grunts as he restrains the wildling. He grabs for the mans throat and casts inflict wounds...
Attack: 20 Damage: 13
