Custom Campaign - Cold Cash

"Sleep is probably a good idea after the ordeal we've been through," Kaimos agrees, finding his own spot on the floor to stretch out and sleep.

Rolen curls up, resting his head upon his arm and is soon asleep.

Kaimos finds a nice spot as well and follows Rolen in slumber.  Tirana leans up against the wall nearby.

"Depends on how you got the boat?" The guard inquires from Kabarr.  "What is going on here?  People are saying that there boat was attacked; why don't you tell me what happened?"

Flayr, you are starting to suspect that asking about selling the boat before explaining the situation first, may not have been the best strategy.

Pang, as people begin to drift off in slumber, you feel this place is probably safe.

Gnook, as you step out on deck, you see several town guard talking to Kabarr and Flayr.

Flayr sighs deeply and steps in front of Kabarr.

 "What my friend meant to say was that we were attacked by ice elf pirates during our casino boat trip. We were hoping that there would be some ransom due for capturing the pirates vessel. Of course, it would be just as easy for us to attain that money by suing a certain city watch for allowing such an attack to occur under their very noses..."

 His voice trails off as he waits for that to sink in.

"We can talk ransom later, and sue who you must, but first tell me more about these Ice Elf Pirates?" He says; pulling out a short quill and some small squares of parchment.

Kabarr frowns at Flayr for the last comment but says "We along with all of those people that talked to you about being attacked were enjoying our time on the Casino boat near this fine town.  When all of a sudden the Casino ship was attacked by Ice elves who claimed that they would cleanse the ship and this town.  They started killing many of your fine citizens as they attacked people on the ship. 

They were yelling at everyone  "We are The Salvation!  This ship, like this city, is an abomination of greed and sin!  It shall be destroyed!"

I along with my friends chose to protect and save as many as we could.  I came aboard this ship and killed several Ice elves and one of my own kind who had clearly lost his way.  The remaining attackers on the ship jumped overboard.  We (he pauses to make sure he gestured to his friends) then sailed out to pull as many onboard from the sinking Casino ship.  We (gesturing again) then sailed back out to the life boats and pulled them into shore."  Kabarr pauses to catch his breath.  "What I wanted to know was if you knew anyone who might want to buy this ship from me.  My first thoughts were to sell it to the Casino ship captain since his ship is now at the bottom of the water.  If this violates any of your laws, please let me know.  I guess I could just keep the ship or maybe burn it up but I figured that it would be of some value to a community like this.  Maybe it could even be used by the city to protect citizens and guests from pirates."

Gnook heads over to K and F.

"What's going on?"

"Looks like Kabarr has it under control." Flayr whispers back. " Better just let him do his thing. "

Gnook nods, letting Kabarr do the talking.

(OOC: will you let us know when its morning? or do i just say Rolen wakes up the next morning?)

(I will let you know when it's morning.)

"The boat isn't yours; this isn't Qixallia with your Dominance Rule society.  You don't keep what you kill here kid." The Ice Elf Guard gives you a stern look.  He holds it for a moment before dropping it and continues to say; "But I'm sure the city will reward your heroic efforts.  The Casino will likely reward you for saving it's patrons as well; so if money is what you are looking to get out of this, I'm sure you've got plenty coming.  But that ain't your boat." 

" Let it go, Kabarr. " Flayr mutters, hoping to make a graceful exit.
