The altar reveals no hidden secrets to Gremryl. It seems to be what he would expect from a tomb that was built for a noble Elf sorcerer. There are a few small pots that once held incense now long since burnt. Two of them are broken with some of the pieces on the floor near the altar. Also a few small candles and a three larger ones, all of which have been knocked over, one of the larger ones on the floor. Neither of them appear to have been lit with any recency.
Searching the room for clues of creatures having been here reveal nothing disturbing the ground’s layer of dust from ages of accumulation. The tapestries and friezes on the wall, however, show clear signs of clawed markings that could be from recent times by your estimation of the threads that have been ripped apart. You wonder how that could have happened while the floor has no trace of disturbance other than your own tracks.
The door gives way and swings open on its central axis like the first did, leaving a narrow opening on either side to get through. Inside, you can see a small room, that appears to have sarcophagi inside.
Morgana sends in her mage hand to probe for floor traps. If she finds none, she’ll check the ceiling for anything out of the ordinary. If she sees nothing, the mage hand will knock on the nearest sarcophagus.
Morgana's Mage Hand probes the floor for traps but doesn't find anything out of the ordinary. Moving to the ceiling next, from where Morgana can see, there's nothing to interact with. While Morgana's Mage Hand is searching for traps, Gremryl walks in cautiously. Inside the room, he can see four stone sarcophagi, marking the resting places of Brysis' most faithful servants. The lid of each sarcophagus bears the sculpted image of a robed human figure in repose. From Morgana's position outside of the room, she can see two of the sarcophagi against the back wall. She wills her Mage Hand to knock on one of them. As soon as the sarcophagus is disturbed by the knocking of Morgana's Mage Hand, a loud and ear-piercing screeching is heard from each of the sarcophagi!
Arising from each of the 4 sarcophagi, Specters screech loudly and menacingly! They all initially fixate on Gremryl Stonebreaker as he's the only one they 'see' from inside of the room.
As I free action, morgana will say the following to Grem:
”so I’m still confused. U made it clear earlier that we shouldn’t kill things that want to murder us. So should I leave these things alone? Cause they seem to b murderous. Should I give them gold and reassurances like the last thing that tried to kill us? It’s all so confusing...”
