"Ok, well those chests, at least, seem real. Let's approach those and be ready to strike at anything that might come out at us." Isk will move towards those chests, with his glaive held ready (the equivalent to have an attack action readied for when something enters his reach.
Reverie shots back towards the outside as if her rage has burned up to the extreme, and yet, she tries to calm herself since she notices Marion is drunken, and Sallah is trying to get her under control. Maybe she could... slap her and wake her up from drunken state? No, that's ridiculous. Reverie shakes her head a bit and then clutches her scimitars firmly. Nodding once towards Isk, she starts to approach those chests.

Reverie Forestgleam—Human Paladin Level 5 in Frontier City of Nunkreet Extremely busy and busy as ever recently, but I will trying to catch up as much as I can
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rolling for initiative for both groups:
F: 3, I: 8, J: 13, R: 17, T: 8
BN: 7, S1/S2: 17, S3: 6
Iskander and Reverie start moving toward the chests, while the other 3 are watching the area.
A deep, breathy voice from the east roars out: "Enough! Tired of waiting. I want fresh bones. Slay them, my minions!"
By the chests, 2 large-sized skeletons stand from the piles of bones. They have the skulls of bulls, and are carrying great axes. Minotaur skeletons! (Link if you want to see the Minotaur Skeleton image.) A 3rd one stands up at the southern side of the cavern.
On the east side, a different skeletal figure rises up. Similar in size, it resembles a serpent's skeleton. You have heard of the naga: mystical serpents that acquire treasure and knowledge. Some naga are good, some are evil, but a being like a Bone Naga is definitely evil. (Link if you want to see the Bone Naga image.)

Making a change in the map. Treat everything as difficult terrain (10' of movement per 5' square). Everything is the same height (no ledges or walkways).
As mentioned in the last post, there are 3 minotaur skeletons (S1, S2, S3), and a Bone Naga (BN).
Initiative order: Iskander, bone naga, everyone else (Jack, Trimyrai, Reverie, Froskan), then the skeletons.
Round 1 of combat has started. Isk is up.

Isk shouts, "Let them come to us, the ground is treacherous and we have a good position here, together!" He squares his stance and holds the glaive at the ready.
Movement: One square south, so he is next to Reverie
Bonus Action: Hex on S1, imposing disadvantage on dex checks
Both of Iskander's blasts strike the S1 minotaur skeleton, doing 14 damage.
The Bone Naga slithers 10' to its NW. (That puts it 10' south of the S2 skeleton.) Its jaws open, and it spews a Lightning Bolt west, striking Reverie, Iskander, and Froskan before the bolt slams into the wall. The bolt does 34 lightning damage, with a DC 12 DEX save to halve it.
Reverie: 14 takes 17 damage.
WIS save vs. DC 15 for berserk:9 feels an uncontrollable urge to smash. (See below.)
Iskander: 5 fails his save and takes 34 damage.
Froskan: 20 takes 17 damage.
Everyone else can post their action for round 1.
For Reverie: You are in a berserk rage.
You are required to attack the closest creature to you (which is currently Isk).
However, you can use your movement first. So instead of attacking Isk, if you move next to one of the hostiles, you can vent your anger on that creature.
Note: If you start the round in melee range of something, if you move you must end up in melee range of a creature, so you can attack. If there were only party members around you, you could not just run away to open space.

Am I able to Counterspell the lightning bolt? Since that really hurt us :P. (With how it's written, not sure if he's actually casting a spell or if it's just an ability/attack the naga has that basically has the effect of the lightning bolt spell)
(The bone naga is using "spellcasting", not an ability. If Froskan is using his Reaction for Counterspell, then the DM will (weeping bitter tears) restore the 3 players to full health.
On a more serious note, that would be an nice save by Froskan. Iskander would still see his life flashing before his eyes, at what almost happened. And Reverie would not go berserk... yet.)

(Yup, if he is indeed spellcasting, I'll use my reaction for the counterspell. Seems like a good time for it)
Iskander is unhappy as he sees a bolt of lightning surging towards him and his friends. Then it sizzles out, inches in front of his face. He sees Froskan with his hand up, a Counterspell completed.
(That was Froskan's reaction. He cannot use a Bonus Action for a spell, but his Action this round is not limited. (I was confusing "turn" and "round".)
All party members are at full health. Reverie is not berserk.)

(Not that it matters right now since I don't have plans to do a bonus action full spell this turn anyway, but technically speaking, since your reaction resets at the start of your turn and the spell happened before my turn, wouldn't I be able to still do a leveled spell as a bonus action on my turn? I jsut wouldn't be able to do something like cast a quickened spell, opponent counterspells, then counterspell his counterspell with my reaction since I did the bonus spell on the same turn. Or even counterspell another spell on someone else's turn before my next turn after a quickened spell)
Froskan gapes for a moment as 3 skeletal minotaurs and a naga rise up from the bones on the floor, but recovers himself and quickly raises a hand as he sees the naga begin casting a spell, just barely managing to get off a counterspell in time to prevent the bolt of lightning from striking himself and his allies.
Turning his hand palm up, and raising the other hand to match, he creates two balls of ice that he launches at two of minotaurs.
(Twinned spell level 2 chromatic orb, cold, at S1 and S2)

(OOC: I just edited a strikethrough of that part of my comment. I had to read the PHB text more carefully, and remember the difference between a "round" and a "turn" (character-specific part of the round). The restriction on bonus action spells would only apply if he cast Counterspell on his own turn, instead of someone else's.)
The minotaur skeletons are AC 12, so both arrows and both ice orbs hit.
(Jack and non-berserk Reverie still to go.)
