This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
((Twinned Spell guiding bolt: Attack: 15 Damage: 13 at Rufus and Attack: 26 Damage: 31 at the redcap. If Rufus is hit and lives, the next attack against him has advantage.))
Shaking her head at his foolishness, Ana spoke the mystic words and performed the gestures of an attack spell, then turned up both of her palms. Silvery starlight seemed to condense in the palms of her hands into motes, which then streaked toward the giant and the redcap, blasting them with radiant energy and leaving a silvery light behind briefly.
Edit: forgot my own spell gave advantage on attacks vs the redcap. 19
The Redcap is struck by the Guiding Bolt (40 damage cumulative). The bloodthirsty fey is in bad shape. Next attack roll against it has advantage.
Rufus is also blasted by the duplicate Bolt. Rufus looks petulant and defiant: "My slug was supposed to be four times as large, and able to destroy this village. I would have won, if it wasn't for all the incompetence around me." After spitting that out, his eyes roll back, stops breathing, and he crashes to the ground.
Brinn is up. (Can finish off the Redcap.)

Ana looked sadly at the collapsed giant. "What a waste. Another being brought to a bad end by his own desires and ambitions." She leaned heavily on her staff, exhaustion starting to overwhelm the adrenaline. Raising her voice she called out to the remaining enemies. "Enough! Flee this place and do not return! Learn from his mistake and make peace."
Ana tries to be eloquent to get the Redcaps to surrender, but those creatures were created by magic, blood, and murder. The bloodthirsty cretins fight to the last. The few remaining Redcaps are quickly dispatched. (Your fellow party members Froskan and Jack helped the villagers put them down.)
The villagers start to remove the slain. Rufus and his minions will be buried, but well away from the village.
Some of the village elders try to take control of the situation, but Clarion gives them a dismissive look. "Those are the ones who thought it would be great to have leadership from a powerful outsider, and had their eyes closed by the promises of wealth... I will need another day to get this village back in working order. In the meanwhile, you will be given proper room and board, and whatever aid we can render."
OOC: Everyone has enough experience to reach 24,000 XP. You are level 7. Advance your character, and take a long rest.
Normally, this would take 6 days of training with the proper facilities to advance to the next level. It will take you 1 day, as the unusual fey magic and foods have a strong effect on you. (You don't think it would show up on a magic drug enhancement tests, but probably best to avoid them for now.)
There will be an epilogue with Clarion and this fey village, but not until tomorrow. If the newcomers (Ana and Brin) want to talk with the current party (Iskander, Trimyrai, and Reverie), you have time now. Or you can wait until you get back to the Prime Material Plane. (If you want to talk to Jack or Froskan, I'll fill in as best I can.)

DMing "Gallia Campaign 1".
Looking for a new game, if you need a player private message me.
"I be hearing of ye Master Trimyrai." Brin speaks up as he turns from making sure the giant was not getting back up any time soon. "Me kin be saying good things of ye, and yer crew." He nods to the others who fought the giant with them. "Ye be helping me kin with a bit of harpy trouble they be having. Pyrick be telling me to look ye up if I be able to, so glad to be finding ye after all, even if I no be here looking fer ye exactly." He glances down at the dirty clothing he has on. "If ye no be minding, I wish to be going and finding the rest of me gear, fore someone be running off with it." He gives a nod to the others of the group, then turns and heads back to where his gear was being kept while he was imprisoned.
Isk joins Trim is greeting the newcomers. He dismisses his glaive in a puff of purple smoke that gently billows the fabric of his clothing. Isk is tall, middle-aged man with the thin, but fit build of an active soldier. He is wearing a long tunic of deep crimson with black and gold trim.
"Yes, thank you. That was a close run thing that would have surely been closer without your help. I am Iskandar Khayon, but my friends call me Isk. What brings you two to this place?"
Ana meant to go over to Reverie, whom she had not seen in a while, but before she had the chance to the tiefling approached. She tried not to stare. She'd heard rumors, of course, which was part of the problem - people told the wildest tales about those born with demon blood. But this one traveled with Reverie and certainly seemed perfectly normal so far if... well... somewhat arrogant. She smiled at him, resolved to conceal her own special heritage until she knew him better.
"Pleasure to meet you, Trimyrai, I am Anaskyrath. Please call me Ana and forgive me for mispronouncing your name. I'm not really an adventurer, myself, though my path does cross with theirs from time to time. Case in point..." She nodded in Reverie's general direction. "I've met Reverie before, for example, though not sure if she recalls. I'm glad I was able to help restore peace to this place, though I wish I could have done so without violence."
At that point Isk approached so she introduced herself again. "I came here by accident I guess you could say. The Guild asked me to help track down an evil, unnatural flower and deal with it. I guess they thought my training as a druid would help. I never did find it but along the way encountered two... people. At least they looked human. One did something to me, a spell maybe, and suddenly I was in a mine here. I'm glad that's over, and I hope you guys know a way back from this place, because I don't."
Isk nods his head at Ana, "Well met Ana, yes, the mine...we were in there earlier as well, fought a large snail and a horror from the shadowfell. Who is The Guild you speak of?"
When asked why he is out here... "Be out here looking for some special metal to be having armor made from." Brin says with a glance back over his shoulder. "No be finding any before getting tossed into a cage by that giant there." He nods towards the deceased giant. "I'll be right back, just need to be grabbing me gear..." He heads off, returning to the place his gear was being kept.
Reverie watches the villagers and Clarion for a moment until she shifts her attention to the newcomers, bow slightly towards them. "Thank you so much for helping us. It is a quite meeting we had but I am glad that we are able to solve this problem and bring the peace and justice together." Then her eyes goes widen in surprise when Anaskyrath mentions about Reverie. "We've met once before?" Frowning in confusion as she hums for a moment since she couldn't remember. (Can she try to see if she remembers anything about Ana?)
She looks at Trimyrai for a moment, and then nods once. "It could be. However, I am curious about that two people she mentioned..." A pause. "... Do you think they can be the followers of Talona?"

Reverie Forestgleam—Human Paladin Level 5 in Frontier City of Nunkreet Extremely busy and busy as ever recently, but I will trying to catch up as much as I can
((ooc: I might have misread the DM's messages somewhere, thought we were on the same page re: Reverie and Ana meeting previously. I'm good to handwaive it after this.))
Ana smiled at the other woman, teasing. "You don't remember? Shameful. Greengrass festival? Temple of Eldath? Priests there too doctrinaire, too passive for both our liking? I learned a bit from them, though eventually I had to leave as well." She grew serious again. "Those two... I don't think they were people. I think they were monsters shaped or disguised like people. They carried corpses like we might saddlebags, and one was eating the body she was carrying." She shuddered. "Given that they sent me here it makes me think they were some sort of evil fey, maybe? Or some monster native to this place maybe?"
OOC: I gave the newcomers a short introduction, so I may have forgotten some details. And with a long campaign, the previous players may have forgotten some points. I'll mention a few things here, to hopefully clear things up. Feel free to ask if there is more info you'd like to ask.
Bommie (halfling ranger) of the Watchful Guild has talked most often with the party. She helped the party (from remote villages or the far East) to get IDs and city paperwork. Brin and Ana already have their Nunkreet IDs.
The private police force of the city (and the largest Guild) is the Iron Gate. The party has talked to Murphy (human rogue mastermind) and Nature's Wrath (elf barbarian). The later has only said a few words, and resembles Arnold Schwarzenegger if he was cast as an elf for "Lord of the Rings".
Just before coming to Nunkreet, the party was attacked in the Watchful Guild compound (north of the city) by devils and some of their allies. The party joined a task force that destroyed more of the devils' allies, but found evidence that a Corpse Flower was removed from their lair before your forces arrived. Ana was hired to investigate where this evil plant was taken.
Pyrick Ironfist is a dwarf smith who ran the shop in Greensville. The party helped him out when they fought the harpies (and met Iskander on the way back).
Reverie does not remember meeting Anaskyrath. (But when a noblewoman of a prestigious House meets a crowd, it is normal for the crowd to remember meeting her, but difficult for her to remember every person in the crowd.)
EDIT: With Ana's prompting about the Eldath temple in Greensville, Reverie would remember bumping into Ana. But there were many people in the temple at the time, and Reverie was focused on stuff the party was dealing with at the time.
EDIT2: Does Ana provide a description of the two bad people she ran into?

Reverie tries to think deeply, trying her best to recall about Ana. When the newcomer mentions about Eldath temple in Greensville, she recalls the face of Ana, bumping into her and it was a brief moment. "Oh, the Greengrass festival..." She murmurs before giving a sheepish smile towards Ana. "I apologize, but I couldn't quite recall anything but your feature. I was focusing on something..." But her smile changes into a bit of brightness. "But, it is great to see someone who was from Greensville." Then she looks at everyone for a moment (maybe she can introduce herself to Brin later) before looking down on her scimitar that was cursed but now... somewhat changed."Anyhow, I am glad that everyone here is safe. And about the two strange people, maybe we can discuss more in detail. Since we have met the followers of Talona already, we have to be very careful once we are returning to our original plane."
Reverie Forestgleam—Human Paladin Level 5 in Frontier City of Nunkreet Extremely busy and busy as ever recently, but I will trying to catch up as much as I can
Ana decided it might after all be helpful to describe those two, in case they encountered them again. "One appeared to be a man, warrior type, ruggedly good looking, with his right arm completely bandaged. From his garb and appearance, I guess he was probably from a rural village of the Squall Mountains to the far North. With him was an elderly woman, pale white and gaunt as from starvation. He was carrying a body under each arm and she had two under her left arm and... ate... the one she was carrying in her right arm as they walked. She's definitely some sort of monster and despite his relatively normal appearance my guess is he was as well." She cleared her throat to try to get off the subject. "How 'do' we leave here? I hope you guys know a way, 'cause I don't."
