Trimyrai: (to the party) "If everyone has spare gold and no immediate errands to run, going to the tailor sounds nice. I am also ready to report about the creature we slayed to the guild if that is the preferred action."

"Tailor shop is just across the street. Plenty of time to have a relaxing meal before the shop opens. It would take about an hour for all of you to be measured. You'd still be able to get to the WG by late morning."

"Sounds great, I've never had brand new clothes before!" Theren exclaims.

Trimyrai: (To Theren) "All your clothes has been hand me downs and used clothes?"

Reverie chuckles. "All right then," she says as she looks at Theren, "we can go to the tailor shop and then to the Watchful Guild."

"Some sturdier clothes would definitely be good to have," Froskan says, poking a finger through a hole in his shirt where he was injured.

Reverie chuckles quietly as she watches Froskan, playing with a hole in his shirt. "We need to get sturdier clothes indeed. Let's go to the tailor shop then."

"Ah, your right. Clothes would be nice."

After breakfast, you hand Gerdy the money for another day at the inn, before heading to the tailor shop. The tailor (an elderly human) is freaking out a bit, about getting an order for five sets at one time. Fortunately, the two girl apprentices are more composed, and take your measurements for the work to be done. (The fitting adjustments will make the final garments more comfortable than the one-size-fits-all clothing that most of you are used to.) You will be able to pick them up any time after tomorrow morning.

Your group walks west, and around 11am you see a modest shop with the familiar silver outline of a falcon in flight on the window. You step inside to see a older gnome at a desk covered with different sized parchments and papers. He has grey hair with black sideburns, and thick eyeglasses like the bottom of a beer bottle. There is a nameplate on the desk: "Noam". (This is odd. You are used to meeting gnomes with names like "Tiddlywinklebob" or "Rumplestilskin".) He looks up for a fraction of a second at your arrival, then continues writing with his quill pen. After ten seconds of polite waiting, you realize he has no intention of stopping what he is doing.

Trimyrai: (to Noam) "Sorry to disturb you sir, but if i could have a moment of your time i would be very appreciative."

Without looking up, still scribbling, Noam mutters: "Busy, busy, busy... What brings you to the Watchful Guild?"

Trimyrai: (to Noam) "We slayed this creature, that was attacking people." 

Trimyrai takes the severed head out and shows Noam.

Jack pulls out the Manticore's head.

Still not looking up. "That's nice. You should take it to whatever group put out that hunting request."

Trimyrai: (to Noam) "We were told to report here. if your not the person to report to, could you direct us to who in this office that we should report to?"

Noam stops, gives a sigh, and digs through a mass of random parchments. Glances at a few, tosses them back on the stack, then finds one that he reads carefully. "Hmm... Dead donkeys... Says here that it was probably a dinosaur with a spiked tail. That doesn't look like lizard to me."

Trimyrai: (To Noam) "Is that what you call that thing? We found a creature matching the witness' description, but it was already dead, being eaten by some other creatures, they looked lizard like. We killed them, but they didn't match up with the description. In the process of investigating the creatures we were attacked by this thing." Trimyrai says indicating to the head.

Reverie has a manticore tail spike, which she drops next to the manticore head. Then each person in the group goes over the evidence for why the stegosaurus doesn't match the information, but the manticore does. Noam is still reluctant, since he will have to fill out another form about the deviations from the original report, but eventually signs off the request and counts out the money.

(Everyone gets 300 XP from your earlier fights, and add 10 GP 8 SP. If you have been adjusting your finances during recent events, the payout was 15 GP, subtracting 2 SP for the ferryman, 2 GP for the tavern, and 2 GP for the clothes.)

"Do you have any other business today?"

"That we are not currently," Reverie says as she looks at Noam for a moment. "We would probably look around this town, but is there a business that you would like to talk with us?"
