What Phalse said, but if you want to do it by code, you have to remove the spaces and close the tag, but then you need to do a separate damage roll as well. Without spaces the following [ roll ]1d20[ /roll ]11, but you also may need to add the modifier after so 1d20+3 or whatever your modifiers are.
If you switch to the Dice function in desktop mode, you can switch to the combat mode and it will roll attack and damage with modifiers all at once.
John moves to the back of the party due to the damage he's taken, takes an arrow out, and aims his bow at the chest of the talkative fisherman who punched him. "Hey jackass, I'm sure you heard about the 3 fishermen who disappeared. But don't worry, they won't be missing for long, because YOU'LL BE JOINING THEM IN THE AFTERLIFE SOON!!!", John yells as he takes fire.
Attack: 24 Damage: 7
(I love the feeling of a successful dice roll. God bless proficiency bonuses..........)
Lumin says to his part, "HEY GUYS, maybe before we should think about what would be good here? you know... BEFORE we slaughter all the men of this small town...."
The man gurgles and slumps forward, and arrow through his heart. The other fishermen stare at you in horror and then sprint away, leaving two bodies, one dead and one unconcious, at your feet.
(ignore this if it doesn't apply) If we are out of initiative, I will do a medicine check to stabilize the unconscious fisherman (Medicine 7), (and pick up my net when convenient)
(thx phalse) 8

Distractedly batting Zahim away from the fisherman body he is working on, Lumin struggles to provide medicinal support....
[I didn't say it was your fault: I said I was going to blame you...hahaha]

Zahim finds nothing of value onthe bodies, though they do smell strongly of fish.
Stan, none of the patrons have seen the bodies yet.
Lumin, you are unable to stabilize the fisherman, and his face continues to gush blood from where the dart struck.

The fisherfolk are simple people, and all you can find are a few stray copper pieces.
