Ellayne watches Jebben working on his notes when he offers he would decipher a scroll. Then she nods in agreement at his curiosity over the intention of Trask's, hiding a scroll where no one can find. "Exactly. I have the same question for that too. It was strange as soon as I read this scroll. As I remember from a history lesson, I believe that she is hiding something to protect, so she made it into a puzzle, I assume. The poem she wrote seems very passionate to do their task even if the group's number decreased. It must be a source to take us somewhere in secret. Somewhere she tried to protect." She mumbles as she looks at the map and then to the button, picking it up with her fingers again. "I wish we could rest after finishing with this research since you never know what will happen during this evening." Then she hums slightly when she heard Wander's and Vostaria's words. "Hopefully, no trouble could find us during this evening. As what Mr Jebben says, I do feel a bit of fatigue."
Then she strokes the soft hair of Annie absentmindedly, more like her habit. "Haunted place can be more crowded since people's curiosity would trigger if they heard the place is haunted. Of course, not everyone does," Ellayne mutters.

"May I read the scroll?" Dorstaer asks, then after looking it over (assuming Jebben doesn't hoard it :P), says, "Do we have any idea whether this was something given to the minister or something she created to give to someone else?"
Jebben jots a few more notes down, then closes the notebook. "Quite the obscure mystery you have found, Ms. Ellayne, and it is one we might unravel the more time we spend here and get to know our new environment."
Using his fingertips, he combs through his dirty blonde hair to straighten it. "Now pardon me a handful of moments, for I do want to mingle a bit with the locals to see what information I can dig up on our plight, and on The New World in general."
Notebook still in hand, the gnome strides off into the sea of people and disappears.
"I do not know why but something tells me that we should watch our gnomish friend incase of trouble. I am not saying that he is trouble but so fst since we arrived here it seems that we are consistently in the wrong place at the wrong time." Wander says as he seems to people watch.
Ellayne replies to Dorstaer with shaking her head as a not-sure. "Yet, it was hastily wrapped and hidden in the secret drawer." Then she looks at Wander after Jebben disappearing into the crowd. Wander's opinion sounds quite convincing. They won't know if there are people who would work for the Baroness. "I will go check on him then. Sir Dorstaer," she calls him quietly, "will you be able to take care of this scroll?"

After about a half hour, Jebben returns to the fireplace, with a beaming smile across his face. "Well, well, bucket, and well," he begins, patting the cover of his notebook confidently,"I've gone out and less-than-forcefully retrieved a little of tonight's scuttlebutt on a few key subjects. I do wish to discuss my findings with you all, but I think maybe the morningtime--over breakfast, in fact--would be better, when there is less noise and when clearer heads are able to digest the information, for my mind is already beginning to hopscotch around towards possibly paranoid conclusions." The gnome pauses a moment, as if he's hesitating to say something, then leans in to Vostaria. "For one, I'm beginning to suspect, Ms. Vostaria, that my initial appraisal of that guard's fancying of you might be completely and utterly off base. In fact..."
Jebben's words trail off as he furrows his brow. "No, no, it will have to wait until tomorrow. I can hardly think straight right now on account of general fatigue. I don't need to be getting anyone else all worked up, and I would also like to ask a few questions of Zackary beforehand about what he does or does not know about the late Minister Trask. (I avoided the subject tonight so that we avoid any association with horrible scene!)"
He turns towards the rooms, then turns back to the group. "Oh, and I checked in on this haunting issue, and it seems to be legend and hearsay, for nobody seems to know anything about it firsthand, but I did learn this place opens at six o'clock in the morning, so I think it might be prudent to get to sleep early enough that there's no chance of being caught in our beds should some guards find their way to this establishment when the doors open."
Before he leaves for his room, Jebben turns to the young girl. "Ms. Annie, you are most welcome to keep my hat for the rest of the night, if you like--I do think it suits you!--but I will be wanting it back first thing tomorrow morning!"
Barnum has decided to step down from the campaign as he feels he can't keep up with the pace. If anybody in future feels like we're rushing parts, please let me know and I'll slow it down. I have been trying to ensure everybody has a say before I move on but I will have to go with the majority who are active. As you've seen, I will usually post between 8am and 5pm GMT Mon-Fri, anything out of those hours will be read when I get online.
During the evening, Zackary brings you your drinks and you sit sombrely by the fire, barely touching your drinks due to fatigue. As the night closes in, the tavern empties in a matter of minutes. Even the barmaid steps out and locks the door behind her, the heavy bolts clattering against metal. You all sleep peacefully through the night. The ghost stories you heard do not materialise, and you wake up in the morning to the sounds and smells of breakfast being fried below.
Oh no! Barnum was Jebben's drinking mate-to-be! :-(
Jebben, being the first to turn in, awakens as soon as he hears the slightest stirring downstairs. He heads immediately down to the commons area, where he is seated by himself at a table large enough for everyone including Zackary and Annie, scribbling away in a pair of his notebooks. In front of him is a beer that's barely been touched.
Wander sleeps mostly peacefullyor at least does what is equivalent for a warforged. Once the sun rises he will get up and move to the main floor once again, taking a spot at the table they had sat at the night before.
Vostariadescends to the tavern, sluggish and hungry. She takes a seat at the table, accepting a hot cup of tea, which both warms and wakens her quickly. "I suppose the plan for the day is to exit the city," she says to whomever is listening.
Dorstaer rises as well after a restful night and makes his way down to the tavern and joins the others at their table. "Anyone see any ghosts last night?" he asks.
"I do not rightly know what the next step of our plan is. Leaving the city would a be a justified course of action but with our lack of knowledge of what lies beyond the walls who is to say what could happen. For now it in my opinion we should be carefully weighing each of our options." Wander says to Vostaria before turning to Dorestaer. "None that made themselves known."
"Zackary might have some knowledge that could help us if we plan to leave the city," Dorstaer points out. "Even though he lives here in the city, he probably knows something of other places on this side of the portal."
Ellayne has a good rest during the night even though she heard the barmaid shut the door during the night time. Rubbing her mismatched eyes with her two hands as she walks down from her room, and joins the rest of the companions. ”Ithinktheghostsareverynicetous.” Then she looks at Vostaria, humming. ”I really love that idea. But I also want to figure out what Minister Trask has been hiding with a scroll. Dorstaer, do you still have a scroll?”

Ellayne nods once as gratitude, taking a scroll from Dorstaer. Opening a scroll once again, she starts to think deeply about this scroll and whereabouts. Then she shakes her head, trying to wake herself thoroughly, and then tries to focus on a map that has been drawn. "Mr. Jebben," she calls him and then pauses, "Good morning! Have you found anything from what people say about Tabatha's Terrific Tailor? Also, after this, we might need to get out of this city if we need to, just like Ms. Vostaria." Ellayne hums and then looks at Vostaria in curiosity. "Would Zachary and Annie following us for getting out of the city?"
