Jebben drops his pack, sheathes his rapier, and tentatively approaches Wander, keeping his eyes fixed forward on the beast and the two guards.
"Ladies," he says to Ellayne and Vostaria, without looking back, "if you would be so kind, could you please alert me if that abomination tries to move past the guards to assault me? I'm afraid our peace-loving construct-friend here might be in need of some medical attention. I'm no doctor--or repairman--by any means, but I'll see what I can do."
The gnome pulls an ink-covered rag from his pocket and wipes the largest blots of acid off Wander's body, taking care not to get any on himself. He then throws the rag aside, where it lays smoking on the floor. Placing an ear to the warforged's chest, Jebben begins tapping at the stone body with his fingers. Every now and again Jebben pauses after a tap, doubles up his fist, and gives the construct a sturdy thump. Then he resumes tapping.
Jebben is trying to stabilize Wander without a healer's kit. Medicine roll (vs DC 10): 11
"Don't you leave the stage, my dwarven friend," says Jebben as he works. "You still owe me some company over a drink, or five drinks, or--if it's a good night--ten drinks! And I might just join you on the floor afterwards when that time inevitably arrives!"
I believe a death saving throw qualifies for Bardic Inspiration (granted two turns ago), should Barnum choose to use it for that. So Jebben's trying to "talk him through" a failed throw. ;-)
Ellayne watches the creature attacks her allows and witnesses Barnum goes unconscious. Her mismatched eyes go wide in surprise and yet fixate back onto the creature and the guards. Once she hears the request from Jebben, she nods and readies to shoot an arrow to the enemy. ”Understood.” Then she let go of a string of her longbow.
Attack, Longbow -17 Damage - 4

Vostariafrowns at the resilience of this infernal creature. She weaves a new spell through muttered incantation and elaborate motions of her hands. A beam of pure cold erupts from her hands at the creature.
The beam of frost just misses the creature as Ellayne's arrow manages to pierce it's fleshy out layer. It pivots toward Jebben, about to land a strike.
(Actually, I was thinking about having a cleric as a multiclass... o.O)

Jebben gives Wander a final, hearty thump with his fist, and lays his ear against the stone body. "Ah, yes, there it is," the gnome says with satisfaction. He then raps his knuckles on the construct's arm. "You'll pull through, mate."
He looks up just in time to get a faceful of blood from the felled guard. The young gnome scrapes the crimson muck off his cheeks with cupped hands, brings himself to his feet, adjusts his wide-brimmed hat, and quickly draws his rapier, swinging a few practice swings in the air in front of him. His blue eyes are steely and intent.
"Well, I suppose that's my cue," he says calmly, taking a step forward to put himself between Wander's body and the beast, rapier before him. He poises to strike.
Jebben will be readying an attack for when the creature comes at him. As soon as it's in range, he'll strike. I'm hoping the remaining guard gets an opportunity attack as well, given the ten feet the monster must cover to get to Wander & Jebben.
No heals here, obviously. But I build my characters dynamically as I play, choosing skills/spells they either need or have used a lot. So come level two, we'll have at least one heal spell. ;-)

Ellayne gasps as soon as she finds the guard bitten by the monster and tries to escape. She curses under her breathes before uses her Longbow to shoot an arrow.
Attack, Longbow - 6 Damage - 8

You're up!
Dorstaer sees another ally fall, confirming his desire to be nowhere near the infernal thing. He launches another eldritch blast at the creature.

Wander Death Save: 6
(If anyone has healing it would be nice if you used it now....)
(Sadly I have none)
Edit: Jebben stabilized you with his turn and rolled a high enough medicine check,s o you shouldn't need death saves anymore
(The dm never clarified that....)
(Yup, Wander is stable.)
(Alright just wanted to know if the dm knew. Also I am guessing we have no one that can use healing magic except maybe our bard?)
(I was guessing the bard too. Vostaria does not.)
(Ah well then we need a healer... Monk/Cleric multiclass anyone?)

(Well it is either that or if Wander dies and the dm allows it I make a new character that is a grave cleric.
Wander - You're stabilised from Jebben's medicine check :)
Barnum will need to make a death saving throw when he comes online. I'll move forward in the meantime.
The creature lunges toward one of the Guards who looks to be preparing to run away.
DM Shield
24 / Damage - 5 + 2
The creature bites the Guard and rips into his back, blood splatter over Jebben as the Guard cries out and falls to the floor, dead.
The other Guard tries to run, provoking an opportunity attack from the mangled creature.
DM Shield
12 / Damage - 4 + 4
The Guard gets bitten on the leg, shakes it and manages to break free, running toward the other half of the party, panting and sweating.
