Jorin, seeing the halfling slide out of the dissipating goo swears and reaches out to grab Hildi. With the halfling hoisted on his shoulder, he ducks back into the west hall to retrieve his axe.

(OOC: I think the party is L2 after a long rest. And I recommend that Hildigrim “Hold” his declaration.)
Drusk is forced to run after Jorin, to stabilize Hildigrim as his Action. Any remaining movement (30’ total) will be south/southeast as far as possible.

Though IRL, we’d declare in reverse order of intelligence, so... hold on... so Drusk would have declared second, which means without Delaying, this would have gone down just like it is. Jorin declaring first, and Drusk basing his action on Jorin’s plans.
But if Jorin had Delayed, he could have seen what Drusk had planned, and then acted afterwards. Of course, also after the ooze, but. “Drusk and Jorin lock eyes, and Drusk lunges for Hildigrim. After waiting a beat, Jorin races for his axe, hoping to get it and get back down the hall.”
(OOC: One of the things that I learned from Critical Role is that the adventures can be more interesting when things don't go ideally. I'm grumbling... but still fun.)

As the ooze slides forward, tendrils reaching out, Jorin stows his axe and leaps ahead, grabbing up Hilidgrim's body. He scrambles back into the western room, picking up his second axe. Drusk rushes in, intent on checking Hildi for wounds, and he and Jorin lay the halfling down, but Drusk despairs at his friend's blistered body. Vanja races up, and with a kind shove, pushes Drusk out of the way, applying a bandage she rips from her dress (11), stabilizing his wounds.
Meanwhile, the ooze continues to approach, and Pascal looses another freezing blast, hitting it squarely (17) and covering it with punishing ice (5 dmg, speed 0').
Hilidgrim does not move, but seems more settled.
Next: Round 5! I'll post a declaration phase in a second.
Notes: Nicely done, crew. Everyone used up most of their movement getting to and helping Hildi. To adequately stabilize him you had to put him down on the ground, so there you are.
Jorin sees a bit of a life return to Hildi and scoops him up once more, "I think its about time we go. I'll carry our friend."
With Hildi on his back, he hurries out of the passages, back towards the blood room. As he rounds the corner and sees the frozen ooze, he looks as Pascal and gives him a nod of approval.

(I'm going to declare it now anyways, but I want the others to get out of the way first.) After Jorin and Vanja have moved, Drusk will move 15' east to get to the corridor, then Dash to move 45' south.
