Although you see some rough looking people investigate the fight, they back off once you see them. Other than that, the perimeter is secured. As you come back, the corporal and private stand before the building's entrance as Radolak takes a step forward, "Report?". The corporal gives a salute, "Sir, checkpoint secured and I've taken care of the cacklers. Private Churm treated the wounded soldier and has him resting in the checkpoint." Radolak nods, "Good, privates, spread out and take positions." As you head out, you hear him say, "...What about the squad here?"

Selesnya Conclave:
Throom tries to parlay with the Gruul, "The battle is lost! Please surrender now. We'll take you to our vernadi and heal you all, if you'll let us. But you have to surrender first!" And Atrexi lines up for another shot should the Gruul not listen.
Attack: 22 Damage: 10

The shaman laughs as goes to strike at Throom with his blade, only to be shot in the shoulder by Atrexi. Thwuut heals a spider who was limping before but is now looking better, standing on all eight now.
(There was one wounded spider, all the other ones are dead. I just don't want to describe how bad getting one shotted by a great axe is.)
The shaman curses loudly before muttering once more and pointing to the minotaur. He then takes a swipe at the spiders encroaching around him. The minotaur's wounds start to close up before you as he brings his greataxe upon another spider.
Attack: 15 Damage: 14
Attack: 22 Damage: 10
Even though the spiders seemed prepared to dodge the Gruul, the shaman clips a spider's leg. The spider manages to shake the fire out but the leg looks badly burned, still smoking. Even the minotaur manages to strike at the last spider on him, spraying more spider guts onto him.
The skitter back, retreating behind to Atrexi before shooting their webbing towards the Gruul.

By some luck, both of the spider's web entangles the Gruul. They struggle as the web kept them restrained.
You stumbles and keeps tripping as you go through the alleyways. Although you tries his best, the horses make more and more distance until you can't hear them anymore. Then all you could hear is the talk from the street and the complaints of that group riding through. As you comes out of the alleyway, you sees that the horses are long gone and the people are start to go back to their chores. "Lad, why are you just-" Your squad catches up to you and as Sullivan seems prepared to lecture you, he stops. Because a child rushes up to you and starts to pull on your uniform. He points down the street and tries to say something between catching his breath, "My friend...blood...stranger...so much blood...help us please!" The boy is futily trying to drag you over where he's pointing.
Vreszka stares up the ladder and the mold and slime on it with a frown. She really does hate this place. Next time she'll have to bring a pair of gloves. Taking a deep breath she starts climbing up the ladder, stopping before the top to listen to what's going on above. It's daytime still, and she doesn't want to just appear out of the sewer.
"All will become equal now" | "Cause we're going to shout it loud, even if our words seem meaningless. It's like we're carrying the weight of the world"
Thwuut, seeing that the spider that survived is now healed, returns to facing the Gruul. She raises one hand and from it a blast of forceful energy releases at the shaman. "A nature speaker should know better."
While you don't see anything blocking the light, you can hear the crowd is some ways out. And upon looking up, you can see the buildings but they're quite close to the opening. Besides the crowd, you also manage to hear a few rats squeak and scamper about above you.
The blast hits the shaman hard as he just laughs back, "Nature does not need to be coddled, Selesnya cub!" Throom sighs as he says, "Repent." He begins to shine upon the two caught gruul clansmen. Atrexi takes a shot at the minotaur, just in case.

Although they struggle to be free of their webs, the webs remain strong and keep them restrained. The spiders move in now and take a bite at their prey.

Somehow the Gruul manage to worm their way out of the spider's fangs.
"We are private, so look out for them. If you see a body with our colors or our insignia, shout out." The sergeant and the corporal head into the checkpoint. Churm nudges you, "Think they're gonna try to talk to the soldier we got down. And how are you feeling, man? That cut that crazy chick gave you must have hurt."
"I'm fine it stung a bit but I got it healed quickly enough." Hormir touches where the wound was before "It probably could've been much worse as well."

Gallias' sense of community overtakes his sense of order and he quietly follows the boy as he tugs on Gallias' uniform, mentally steeling himself for when reality syncs up with his vision.
Churm nods, "Yeah, it could have. I think you should use your first payroll for getting yourself some better armor. Lady slipped right under your armor." He jumps as a yell roars out from the checkpoint, "Guessing they managed to wake the guy up, better head back." Churm hurries off to his post.
(Roll for perception to keep an eye out for threats or roll for survival to see if there's any hints about the other squad.)
The boy leads you to an alleyway and as you keep following him, you hear someone sobbing. It grows louder as the boy pulls you through the alley. Until you're met with a small goblin, crying besides another goblin, who lies still in a pool of blood. "Risa!" The boy lets go and rushes forward to the crying goblin. He hugs her and holds her tight, "It'll be alright! I found an arrester! They can help us!" The boy looks back to you, "Please help Risa's brother! He was attacked but you can make him better, right?" The boy pleads.
The laboratory hums with power as the people inside rush back and fourth. Some carrying odd contraptions or carrying bundles or stacks of papers or books. A vedalkin watches over two goblins hang a banner up with the words, 'WELCOME TO THE LAB, BLITZEN', they climb about the pipes and rails as they try to secure the banner only to be stopped by the vedalkin. "No, no, over by the mana generator, you want to 'wow' this new attendant, right?" There's a small groan from the two as they cautiously try to put the banner in front of the mana generator. "Then again since he's a graduate of Prism university, he might dislike how dangerous that is..." The two start to undo the banner, "Or appreciate how daring we are! Oh, maybe we should show off out latest invention!" As the vedalken continues to talk, now to himself it seems, one of the goblins look up and see that the new arrival has already arrived. "Uh...Boss?" The vedalken clicks his tongue, "Stop with that, I didn't work my way up to director just to be called boss, call me Director Rill." The goblins shrugs, "Director Rill, the new attendant is here." The director follows the goblin's look to the new attendant, "Oh...Welcome Blitzen, to the Laboratory of Conduction!" The director says quickly turning to you as he gestures to the lab.

Going by mere sight, can Gallias tell whether the goblin is dead or mostly dead?
"And I'm glad to have you here, Blitzen! Not everyday that a person of your degree joins a small lab like this. I've been mostly getting tinkerers and amateur inventors sent here to help out. You'll be a wonderful addition to our team. Ah, no offense to you two." The two goblins shrug it off and climb back down. They both give a wave towards Blitzen and look to the director, "If that'll be all, boss, we gotta head back to Chelsea and help her out with the tests." "With the portable generator?" The two nods and after a moment, Rill sends them off with, "Fine, fine, just make sure she tests them away from the buildings, got an ear full of it from our neighbors." The two run off and Rill looks back to you, "Chelsea is my supervisor, she does fine work with the exception of a few accidents. We also have...Orro, over by the heap of trash, and Shean, he's testing to see the if we can contain a storm in a smaller vessel." Orro is a goblin who seems to have the ends of his ears burnt and Shean is a human with messy brown hair, hunched over a small metal thing. Rill continues to pull you around, "And our resident Scorchbringer, Miss Donna...She is more of a heavy lifter and a bit of a pyromaniac. Along with all our attendants, that's most of the lab...with the exception of Sir Arthur, he's a independent researcher so I don't have full authority over him...nonetheless, welcome to the Lab!"
Despite your best attempts, you don't see any trails or clues about the missing squad.
The sergeant and corporal emerge from the checkpoint, "Alright! Private Hormir and Kieryl, head in to take a rest and recover your spells. Once done, switch with private Churm and Corporal Sammi. The garrison will be here in four hours people, get ready and stay alert!" The sergeant shouts out.
(If you wish to report anything, now would be the time, otherwise take a short rest.)
