Dagon makes a face contorted by equal parts confusion and anger, and a low rumble builds in his throat but, taking a hint from Kic's quiet and cautious movements, the hulking warrior refrains from bellowing his frustration. He does frown darkly however, and hisses beneath his breath "So we are surrounded then? If that is the case, we should try and ambush one of these threats by taking it unawares. If the crowds of this arena want blood then perhaps we should give it to them, but as the alpha hunter does; On it's terms."
An exasperated Humphry sighs deeply and whispers sharply, "Let's j-j-j-just get on with the k-killing!" His angry glare bounding from member to member.
Humphry's nose seemed to act as a magnet for the powder down produced by the flapping of Kic's wings, and just as the aarakocra opened the door, Humphry let out an obscenely loud sneeze.
The snoring stops abruptly and a sound similar to the rustling of chain mail emenates from behind the portcullis. All is silence for a moment, and then a massive yellow eye presses up against the wooden portcullis and glares at you.
Dagon frowns darkly and glares right back at the creature. He starts growling angrily in his pigeon language but also storms directly up to the portcullis, never breaking eye contact with whatever it is behind the slats. The marauder reaches into his satchel as he clomps up to the creature, and when he is standing directly before the massive eye he withdraws his hand and flings a vial of acid directly into it.

"What in Lolth's creeping taint was that?!" Humphry frantically looks around the room, holding a dagger outwards from his chest. "I-I-I-Is it dead?" The old gnome begins to search his memory for anything that could give any indication of what the situation entailed. (Does the effect made when the creature disappeared look like something magical (teleportation, invisibility, etherealness, etc.)?) Arcana? 10

Dagon grins maliciously and begins chanting his haunting, primal hunting mantra to himself beneath his breath. With Kic's assistance, the half-orc will then try and lift the portcullis.
Kic will disarm the trap and quietly test the door. Is it locked?

Kic opens the door silently and stands betore a wooden portcullis. Through the slats emenates a gentle snoring.

Kic will close the door quietly similar to Perry, turn to his group and say "somethings sleeping in there."

"Alright let's see what were dealing with and try to get the jump on it" Kic says as he again tries to silently open the door.

From the noises and brief glimpse you got of the creature you guess it to be a silver dragon wyrmling, similar to the one you fought earlier.
Kic senses that the danger has passed and the dragon slithered off to nurse it's injured eye.

Standing awkwardly for a few seconds, Humphry speaks up, "Well? Wh-wh-wh-what now?"
Dagon turns to look back at Humphry, then casts his dark gaze around the rest of his companions.
"Finish it? It's wounded, and the path to our prey might be beyond it's lair."
"Well let's g-g-g-get to i-i-it then, hmm?" The old coot was getting frustrated with the recent uncertainties. "R-r-r-raise the gate."
“Let’s go” Kic says and will help someone lift the portcullis.

Athletics Check: 12
Even the primal strength of a half-orc proves insufficient power to raise the mechanism of wood and steel.
