I scramble to my feet as well, executing a bow in echo of Jason's actions. "I would be most honoured to learn even the basics of your methods and techniques and if my paltry skill would impart some useful knowledge, I offer it in exchange."

“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
Lady Diana Nods at your bows. "You wish to learn a more about magic then? Come with me and I will take you to our library where the magic books are stored among other more mundane tomes." She turns and leads you both up the stairs to the first landing and opens a door. You enter a room that should not fit inside the tower but does somehow. You can see ten rows of books as they stretch about 30 feet away. In front of the rows are six tables where one may sit and study the books. She walks to one of the tables and sets down the scroll she was carrying. Turning to you both she asks, "What knowledge would you like to learn?"
What is everyone else doing as Jason and Grant are away?
I whisper "TARDIS" to Jason, with a wide grin, as we enter the dimensionally expanded room. At her question and showing of the small library, I say "As for myself, I'm interested in multiple universe , planar, or multidimensional travel and/or communication as well as summoning, conjuring and other methods of bringing non-native objects and creatures into a localized area."

I nod back at Grant, "Heh, not exactly starting off slow there are we? But yes, we have a particular interest in extraplanar travel. Especially regarding reaching places beyond the planes associated with this particular aspect of reality. We're well short of the point where we could put such knowledge to practical use, but any data you might have could jumpstart our own research."
I step to the doorframe, looking for the point between normal space and the expanded area, "Of more immediate use are dimensional pockets like this. I've got the basic theory down, and have been planning to make a simple storage bag when the funds and the time becomes available, but to scale it up to this degree... How is the event horizon kept stable?"
I'm just planning on talking shop off screen for a bit here, not having a whole conversation on magical theory in character and on screen. I think we'd compare notes, learn what we can, and discuss a few other matters as they crop up.
Looking at the doorway you can not tell where the extra dimensional space lays. Everything looks very seamless.
Lady Diana shows you a section of books. "All we have on planar travel is in this area but I can tell you that we may not have what you seek. I believe that all of our books talk about the known planes and gates to these planes and nothing about reaching places beyond the known planes. You may have to consult others. Now as far of making extra dimension spaces like bags of holding or chests of holding that will over there in that section." She points to another area on another set of shelving.
Turning to Lady Diana I ask "How long are we allowed to study here, and is there anyone we can talk to about these topics? We have unique information on alternate planes and other modes of thought that someone of similar bent might find interesting. Also, what times is this library available to us, when we want to return? Knowledge such as this is invaluable."
OOC - this is just RP fluff, so if you want to skip ahead to the meaty parts, we should. Unless research such as this actually makes a character skill difference or something?

I decide to go looking to see if I can locate a tailor of shoes or footwear. Unless it's in the shop I'm already in. I feel I need the appropriate footwear to go with my new formal dress..I should have thought about it earlier..I think to myself. I also will have the shopkeeper place my armor into a pkg in order to carry it easily before leaving the shop in my quest for the proper foot attire.
"If your looking for an escort, I wouldn't mind leaving the inn. I've only been to the constabulary so far. I don't have any money so I've been avoiding the markets but I love to stretch my legs out. At some point, we'll need to give the horses the same treatment, they must be itching for a run."
I smile at them. " I will go along as well. I can't wait to see what types of shoes will be available in this city. " Montioning to Caesar, we will head out with the others.
As you leave the inn you ask about a cobblers shop and are directed to a store a couple blocks away on market Street. You soon find yourself on Market street where you see shops lining the roadway as people enter and exit various shops. The street is well patrolled and you soon find the cobblers shop when you spy a boot and shoe sign above the doorway. Walking inside you are greeted by a young man who asks what your pleasure would be. Telling him of your interest in some footwear he has you each take a seat if you are interested in some footwear. As you are sitting her brings out some parchment and a stick of charcoal. Having you place your feet on the parchment he traces the feet of each after removing your footwear. After tracing the feet he takes each of your names and adds them to the top of each sheet of your feet traces and carries them into the back room. He comes out with samples of dress type shoes and even some elegant slippers with hard leather bottoms to make everyday walking in them comfortable. You can order and type of shoe or boot and even select colors of the dress shoes or slippers. Boots come in brown or black only.
Travis, joins the others in looking for appropriate footwear. Travis, speaks to the cobbler. "I would like to have some brown boots please. Plus a pair of leather bottom slippers please," He says.
I grin happily. " This place is amazing. I might just stay here. " I look over shoe samples for a while. After some deliberation I order two of the slippers in sea foam to make my outfit and 1 in black. I explain to the cobbler about high heels and platforms. Hopefully he will be to make me a couple of stylish pairs.
The Cobbler listens to Rachel's suggestion of higher heeled shoes for her. He nods as he listens and then asks you to wait as he goes into the back and brings out some parchment and a piece of charcoal as he begins drawing and having you explain your idea some more. Soon he has a drawing complete that shows a slipper with a higher heel in the back much like a 2-3 inch heel. He tells you that he will have it made in three days.
Hearing Rachel and the cobbler talking about a higher heal. I step over and state that I too would like a pair in a dark forest green. As well as dark blue slipper. And ask if there could be some gold stitching of small flowers around the toe area on dark green pair.
OoC: I will point to the area if need be and describe the Flower I have in mind
I don't do any window shopping; I instead pleasantly focus on the interaction between the people in the shop and in town. "What type of flower is that?
Grant and Jason are given free access to the library. Lady Diana gives Jason a map of the known world. After the two of you are done in the library she will escort you down to the door. At the entrance portal she will have you both state your name to the door after which she tells it that you are to be allowed entrance upon hearing your name. The door does not respond but she tells you to have a good day and come back when and if you need anything just ask for her at the statues.
Meanwhile the others spend their time shopping around and looking about. They can find a lot of nice items depending what they are looking for and you do notice that the reaction between customers and the public seems to be relaxed. There are a few instances that you hear a loud voice telling someone to move on but they are few and far between.
Back at the Inn, I write down some notes of what I've learned and what I want to explore further. After a hearty dinner and discussions with whomever is there, I'll retire to my room and do some work on the various projects I've on the go, including a charging station for our electronic devices.

After returning from the tower, I'll mention to the others that we need to respond to Jorel shortly, and to be ready for that. Otherwise I'll start going over the maps provided for us, comparing them to the ones we been making.
I spend my time window shopping all over the city with Caesar. The temptation to stay here and never return to the stronghold crosses my mind more than once. We have finally found true civilization and druidesses are revered here. What more could I want? I wonder if any of my friends feel the same.
