As posted earlier there are two elementals working on making the berm longer and if you look that direction you can see the earth and rocks being tossed up creating some small dust clouds that move away rapidly. You can still get around all of this if you wish and can still head back to the village if you wish. The Ogres can see you but you are out of bow shot.
Kat shakes her head and bites her lip in frustration. " All of that effort and they are as strong as ever. Now they are fortifying. Maybe we should try a different approach. Send those of us that are stealthy in one morning. Sneak to the coffins and destroy them for good. Cut the head off of the snake as it were. We keep wearing ourselves out going headlong into their defenses. "
Bastion looks unsettled with that suggestion, "And what happens if you're caught? You'll be surrounded and cut off from help. The current approach is working fine, we've smashed through their forces time and again with no real losses on our side. Keep whittling away at their forces and soon or late they'll have nothing left. How about we deal with those walking rocks next? Keep their berm from growing any wider."
She shrugs. " Is it working? They seem stronger now than before. As to the downsides of my suggestion... Don't get caught. We will all die one day if it is today or years from now. " She looks at the horizon before looking at him again. " I'm no leader here. Just trying to work together with all of you. Let us deal with these elementals then. "
She shrugs. " Is this approach working? How long have you been at this? They seem stronger now than before. They teleported themselves back here somehow. Maybe they are teleporting ogres in here. " She gazes at the Berm then back to him. " As to the downsides of my plan.....don't get caught. Death comes to all whether it is today or years from now. " She has a longing look on her face for a moment and it fades. " I'm no leader here though. Let us see about these elementals. "

Avan returns and had been listening as a bird, but it's clear he has something to say when he returns to his half-elf form. "We could only deal with the elementals from range," Avan answers Rivoril. "If we get up close, the ogres will attack us from their position of safety. It's possible that we will draw them out if we attack the elementals from range. Even safer for us if we're shooting from cover, like within the city ruins to the north of their position, away from both them and the dungeon.
"If we draw them out, we should stay mounted so we can close in quickly. Unfortunately we can't use our horses full speed because of the uneven streets and ruined buildings, so we have to start from a dangerous enough position, maybe 400 feet away from the ogres. The sooner the better so they don't finish digging in."
He turns to Kat, "Getting caught by these enemies isn't just a case of dying. I fear they will turn our undead bodies against the survivors. It's twice as bad. But you are right about their strength. So far we have been retreating after a day's attacks. We need to get them on the back door and maintain pressure, even while our spellcasters are recuperating. Perhaps block them in their room, then we'll see if it's true teleportation or some kind of flight or the gas we saw before."
Avan wonders about the teleportation aspect of what Kat said and looks about for ogre tracks, but no longer that half a minute. He will keep an eye out for tracks as we move to a different position (assuming we are).
I don't know if Avan could figure all of these out, but if would help to know:
How wide is the berm and moat so far?
How quickly is it being built/dug?
How wide of a circle will it make when complete or is it straight?
How close is the dungeon exit to the ogres' or pavilion's position?
I assume the limits of the ruined city stretch far away from the ogres (North, West and South) and it contains enough rubble for cover, right? Mostly stone or wood?
The ruins stretch to the west and south. Also to the north but for a couple blocks. The Pavilion you saw was a good three blocks from the exit you found coming out of the dungeon. The berm is not that wide at the top only a couple feet. The moat/berm is slowly curving to the west at both ends. It looks like when done it will circle the pavilion with about 100 feet to the berm from all sides. It is being completed slowly but the elementals are not tiring and just keep on going. I would guestimate that about foot of berm is being completed per hour.
The ruins is of a ancient city made of stone. the rocks from the ruins are scattered in the city. along the streets sometimes choking the streets closed. Finding a place that offers cover is not hard to find.
Bastion quickly confers with the others, "All right then, I suggest riding around the end of the berms and hitting those ogres from behind. Assuming we don't run into complications, we'll be able to tackle those elementals at our discretion. We wait too long to mess with them, and they'll have that fortification complete, making it that much tougher to approach or assault their position."
“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
He adds "We could use part of Kat's suggestion. Combine the plans by having one stealthy group go in while the others are distracting them with ranged fire. The scouts can check what's in the tent and, if it's not useful, set fire to it. The distraction combined with them moving away from danger should be a good chance for anyone who wants to to close into melee," he looks at Bastion.
Everyone heads to the north end of the berms as they are being built. The groups separate into two as the more stealthy and better armored head towards the northern Elemental. As you head north you will see three of the armored Orges heading north with you leaving the others by the obvious straight pathway into the ruins. As the group moving closer to the elementals get closer the Orges will ready their bows. I take it those with range weapons will take up their weapons too.
I will need initiative and combat actions or any other actions you wish to take from here.
Ghanima uses Divine Vigor to keep her speed up and follows Bastion moving with him when they can't find cover and when they get closer, casts Fly on him.

"Excellent!" Avan triumphantly exclaims. "We got them to split up!"

Avan sharply turns left, leading his jackal directly to the closest point of cover (60' move x4 for running with light load). He himself unleashes from his longbow, but only 1 arrow shot per round.

"Wait can we try and go around this fortification? How can we deal with elementals."? Rivoril asks.

Kixarn agrees that time is of the essence and nods at Bastion's orders. He is ready to follow the leader.

Kat nods. " Let us go then. Haste is of the utmost importance. " She balances herself with legs only and rides with dual kukris ready.
"Yes, let's go from the north." Avan agrees.

Myth nods in agreement. Lets roll.
" I'm ready.. let's go. " states Arilynia
She has her bow ready to fire at the enemy.
"Im ready lets attack the Ogres from behind," Rivoril says.
Kat looks to Avan. " That is a good compromise. . We need to divide up the groups and go if everyone is fine with it. "
