Mucor make a medicine check.

(Yeah the telekinesis was pretty great lol. I had figured that the dragon would probably die before I got the chance to actually see the disease happen but ya know... it could have been cool :D Good job everyone.)

Jinara and Zin Would also investigate for treasure and looking for any other details about this place (frozen over or secret)

Mucor would also look around for signs of treasure after his attempt to get some teeth 

Investigation 12

(I love Mucor! He’s just so impulsive. I can see him just running over and trying to pull out teeth.)

Valeera thanks Gaelin (that was the amount of HP she had before being healed.) and walks over to the dragon corpse. “Vile beast.” She raises her head to breathe again but reconsiders when she hears Aryn ask Gaelin to gather body parts. Gaelin methodically removes 40 scales, 12 teeth,  20 bones and the liver. Meanwhile Mucor takes 7 cold damage as his hand slips on a tooth and stabs him.

Mucor and Jinara find 50 gold coins each scattered within the ice. As you look around the cavern you see shimmers of light from all the various coins frozen into the wall that sparkle like stars in the night sky.

Zinamer finds a frozen humanoid that appears to have a shimmering helm that looks different than most other helments. With Valeera’s help he removes it from the corpse and Gaelin Identifies it as: Helm of Comprehending Languages

Valeera assists Aryn who discovers another even larger treasure trove hidden deep within the ice. Between the two caches of treasure you find: 40 X 10= 400 platinum pieces and 52 X100 = 5200 gold pieces. Aryn also finds a few items tucked within the cache that Gaelin (I assume) identifies as: Sword of Vengeance, Gauntlets of Ogre power, Goggles of Night & Decanter of Endless Water.

Valeera's eyes go wide at the sword and she asks if she can have it.

The group huddles around Gaelin who draws the teleportation circle and appear back in Castle Daybreak. Valeera kisses Gaelin on the cheek and quickly runs out of the keep leaping into the air as her form reverts back to a dragon. Your armor and clothes begin to soak as the ice and snow melt in the warm climate and you finally breathe a sigh of relief knowing the danger has passed and town of Ashvale will be safe once more… once they find out.

(80 Platinum and 1040 gold each)

Gaelin will take out 40 gold and put his remaining gold and platinum in the vault and look over the items and says, "  I could use the Goggles unless someone else needs them.  I'm blind in the dark but have some spells that allow me to get around it.  I also like the decanter.  I like the thought of having water nearby at all times." 

Gaelin will also blush visibly as Valeera kisses him.

Aryn will thank Valeera for her help in uncovering the horde of treasure and give her the sword.  (I mean she's not asking for any gold or platinum so might as well right?)  She grins as Valeera causes Gaelin to blush and follows her brother's precedent by taking out 40 gold and placing the rest in the vault.  Looking over the items she ponders for a moment and says, "If no one wants the helm I think it could be of good benefit for me.  (mini-backstory time) I used to work for a less than reputable organization where one of my responsibilities had me infiltrate various locales and report on my findings.  If I had this helm I could've saved a ton of time instead of taking notes of sounds and body language, or stealing maps and plans.  If we come across a scenario where we need someone to sneak in somewhere and listen in on a conversation this item could prove invaluable."

(Jin and Zin would give all of the their gold [2080 in total], but keep their respective platinum)

Gaelin will take his new items (unless anyone wants the decanter or goggles) and head towards Valeera's den stopping by the grove to see Herbert.  "Hey Herbert, can you send out a message to whoever is in charge of the citizens of Ashvale or just spread the word that the town is safe now thanks to the Light Bringers who killed Zayrag the White?" Depending on Herbert's response Gaelin would continue to converse with Herbert or thank him and head to Valeera's den.

At Valeera's den- Gaelin will come in and say, "Hey Valeera, how you holding up?  Can I take a look at you?"

(all of Mucors share can go into the vault)

Mucor would pick up the gauntlets and give them a quick look over. "I wouldn't mind these... but if you would rather have them they are yours" The minotaur would say as he holds the gauntlets in his hand and offers it to Zin or whoever wants them. As Ayrn takes the helmet, Mucor would snort before speaking up. "You know... with that helmet you could speak with button if you wanted.. he is working on learning common you know" The minotaur would say with a tone like that of a proud mother. 

"I will definitely do that.  He's so cute." Aryn will say with a smile.  As long as it isn't night time Aryn would put the helm on and go talk to button using the helm to help her understand minotaur and spend an hour teaching him common.   

(Looking back we still owe 5400 for the keep and grove construction [not due for another 50-60 days].  That's 1080 per person and everyone has at least 1200 gold in the vault.  With the group's permission Aryn will pay off the remaining construction costs and take 1080 from everyone's vault holding. Below is current layout of vault if anyone wants a specific platinum to gold ratio used if approved.)

When Aryn says that she will visit with Button, a large smile will spread across the minotaurs face. "Good! That... That would be very nice. I am sure he would appreciate that... did you know he is trying to start a family of his own? He is getting pretty big ya know?" The minotaur would say, hunching over a bit to get closer to Aryn as he excitedly talks about button. After a moment he will take a few steps back and reach his large hand up towards the back of his head, scratching the long shaggy hair back there. "I uhh, I will let ya talk to him yourself. I need to get tending to the grove.. If.. If you havn't seen it at night I would suggest you stop by some time and check it out." The minotaur would say before turning and heading towards the grove.

Time is roughly 1 pm.

Gaelin- Herbert responds, "I will make sure it is taken care of." and calls a group of ravens that perch on a nearby tree.  He scribbles down on small pieces of parchment and ties them to each ravens leg then sends them off in various directions.  You leave Herbert to his duties and head towards Valeera.  Valeera greets you and says, "I'm fine.  Just a bit banged up.  You did a nice job healing my wounds though." as she lifts her wing exposing her side that has long bright scars from the claws.  "They will heal quickly enough.  This sword is quite intriguing though.  It has a very angry spirit within it.  It talks to me but is mostly just venting about people it hates."  You talk for a while inspecting her wounds and find that the wounds are all healed only scars remain.  (Is there anything you wish to do or just chilling with your girl? :D )

Aryn- You find Button concentrating in a corner of his den.  His legs seem to be digging into the ground and you can just barely make out the buds of new mushrooms sprouting nearby.  he greets you in broken common and says, "hello."  then begins to speak in minotaur.  you quickly use the helm and hear him say, "Herbert is teaching me how to sprout new mes.  He says I have to stay still and concentrate all day, maybe even a whole week then maybe new mes will start to grow."  You converse back and forth for a while and attempt to teach him more words in common.  Make an performance check.

Mucor- You see Gaelin leaving the grove and head towards Valeera's den.  You look over and see Aryn sitting by Button chatting with him and find yourself wandering aimlessly within the grove enjoying the atmosphere.

Mucor will make his way through the grove, using druidcraft to sprout new plants and mushrooms. Seeing Gaelin and Aryn visit with Valeera and Button, the minotaur will smile and give them their space. He would eventually cross the small stone bridge to the tiny in the center of the grove and slouch again the weeping willow growing there. The minotaur would spend some time wondering about the chest he was hoping to have constructed for Valeera and Thinking about their next mission, laying in the shade of the weeping willow as the long leaves and branches tickle his shout as breeze blows them around. 

Gaelin will ask if she would like to go for a ride or take a dip in the pool, sit and talk or try something really crazy and stay with her until dinner.  After dinner Gaelin will return to Valeera and spent the evening there until he finally retires to his quarters for the night.

If she picks the crazy option I want to stand 10 ft beyond her fire breath and try to coordinate the decanter's geyser with her fire breath to see which would win.

Aryn- you manage to teach him a bit more common and work on the pronunciation of words.  You also teach him  4  words of your choice that he will remember.

Gaelin- Valeera takes you up on the dip in the pool and she reverts to her human form and you swab over her wounds which are still visible in her human form on her ribs and side.  You leave to eat and return to an excited Valeera who wants to try the crazy option.  You stand 50 ft away from Valeera and count to three...1...2...3... "Geyser" you yell as a line of fire approaches you.  A stream of water gushes forward to meet the oncoming flame.  The water sprays into the large wall of flame and instantly turns to steam.  The pressure of the fire pushes the steam into your face and you feel a wave of heat rush over you.  You are completely soaked but quite warm.
