( @ Aryn- The day is currently Wednesday. @ Mucor- If only the headsets worked that way. They only have a 240 ft radius to communicate.)
(@Jinara- I'd say that you wouldn't suspect anything... yet. Its only about 10:30 in the morning and most likely there would be days where someone would be off on a joy ride or training with their griffon. I know Aryn and Gaelin have both said they frequently fly and train.)
Aryn- The loxodon peeks around the corner and mutters to himself, "what the hell just happened?" then exits yelling, "Thank you! Come back anytime." You saddle up on the horses and make your way back to Castle Daybreak.
Mucor- you find some helpful people that bring you to the mayor who thanks you and says that they will clean up the bodies and mess. He hands you a bag of coins containing 1000 gold and 50 platinum. You thank the mayor and the crowd of people who have come to see the hero who saved them. You politely bow and make you way back to the griffons who have eaten one of the horses and take flight following the road.
Aryn & Mucor- The travel is slower along the road due to the inability to fly over natural obstacles. Still, you make pretty good time and manage to reach Castle daybreak in the early afternoon. (roughly 2pm.) (Jinara- you would start to wonder where the two griffons were about now. )
Jinara, Gaelin & Zinmaer- You watch as a riderless Calypso and Mucor and Ironwing land as a covered cart drawn by Aryn and some other man in a red hood approach from the west and enter through the gates.
Gaelin will fly down on Valeera and meet them in the courtyard. "What happened? I thought you were going off to kill people not come back with a husband." he would say with a smile. Then turning to look at the covered wagon, "At least you didn't settle the dowry too low. What all is in here?"
(So every day I would have been casting animate dead to refresh my hold on the zombies for 24 hours while leaving me free to cast spells the next day (assuming I leave one to recast). so has it been that long that I would have lost control of them due to that reason.. or is there a distence component that I didnt read. I am on my phone and truly dont know.. I am not a very good necromancer lol)
(You raised up four zombies in the town and the limit on how many you can control at once regardless of spell slots available is 4 so the skeletons in the grove were still under your control until the second you raised the zombies.)
Aryn would hop off the horse walk up to her brother and slap him right in the face. “He’s not my husband, he’s our prisoner... our informant.... potential friend... but not that kind of friend. Mucor will explain.” She says angrily.
(The second zombies were raised using my fungal infestation, not animate dead. The animate dead ones last 24 hours and then go wild if I don't re-cast... the fungus ones only last one hour before collapsing dead and cannot last longer. The Goblin zombies were raised using dark magic where the other bandit zombies were raised due to necrotic spores infecting the body and controlling it for a bit. the necrotic spores zombies only get one hp and last 1 hour and can ONLY take the attack action where as the skeletons and zombies raised with animate dead last forever but need to be controlled every 24 hours or they just turn into normal roaming undead. They however can do whatever you want a zombie or skeleton to do... assuming you arn't asking them to do anything too complex.... I think anyway )
Fungal InfestationGGtR
If a beast or a humanoid that is Small or Medium dies within 10 feet of you, you can use your reaction to animate it, as a zombie under your control, with 1 hit point. In combat, the zombie’s turn comes immediately after yours. It obeys your mental commands, and the only action it can take is the Attack action, making one melee attack.
Fungal Infestation: 1 Reaction
--------------------------------------
Animate dead
This spell creates an undead servant. Choose a pile of bones or a corpse of a Medium or Small humanoid within range. Your spell imbues the target with a foul mimicry of life, raising it as an undead creature. The target becomes a skeleton if you chose bones or a zombie if you chose a corpse (the GM has the creature's game statistics).
On each of your turns, you can use a bonus action to mentally command any creature you made with this spell if the creature is within 60 feet of you (if you control multiple creatures, you can command any or all of them at the same time, issuing the same command to each one). You decide what action the creature will take and where it will move during its next turn, or you can issue a general command, such as to guard a particular chamber or corridor. If you issue no commands, the creature only defends itself against hostile creatures. Once given an order, the creature continues to follow it until its task is complete.
The creature is under your control for 24 hours, after which it stops obeying any command you've given it. To maintain control of the creature for another 24 hours, you must cast this spell on the creature again before the current 24-hour period ends. This use of the spell reasserts your control over up to four creatures you have animated with this spell, rather than animating a new one.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Aryn will glare at Gaelin and go around to the back of the cart and check the contents for traps then look through all the stuff to see if there's anything good.
"Darin here... was working with the bandits" He would say as he motions to the man with his large open hand. "until we showed him the error of his ways... and he has agreed to help us put an end to all the bandit problems in the region" Mucor would give a smile before moving to the cart an investigating it to see what it was that they brought back with them.
(I was going to ask the skeleton goblins to help unload the cart but wanted to get the final ruling on if they had gone savage :D)
(I was slow lol, guess we are both checking it out)
(Ah, makes complete sense now. I thought you were casting the animate again. The skeletons are still under your control. The spore zombies are gone by now. Apologies.)
Aryn- none of the boxes seem to be trapped. You find an assortment of regular weapons and armor, two crates of Oil (Flask), one crate of Potion of healing, one small crate of poison vials & two small chests. The first contains 200 platinum. The second contains an assortment of jewelry: 2 silver necklaces, one with a ruby (500 gp) and the other with a sapphire (750gp), 1 gold ring with an emerald (750gp) and 3 small diamonds (1000gp total) and a note that reads, As a token of our continued partnership we have included these fine gifts in addition to our tribute as a token of our appreciation. The skeletons help carry the crates as Aryn rifles through them and shouts out the contents.
Darin would watch in amazement as Gaelin flew down on Valeera and murmor, "It is true" then watch in astonishment as the female slapped the man who just rode down on a dragon and feel even more outmatched than before. He hears Mucor say his name and blinks rapidly trying to focus back on the conversation at hand. "Yes, I am more than willing to help. I gave your friends lots of useful information. The bandits to the west are most likely from the Moonshaper guild. We do business with them occasionally but I try to avoid those jobs when possible. They're a twisted sort of people. We smuggle just to make a living, they seem to kill and steal for fun."
Going through his normal early morning routine with Iris, he would say "Begin working on the next one. This is great work Iris." putting something into his cloak pocket as he exits the tower he travels to the griffon nests and locates Bronze Claw and Night Dream and begins their training. Jinara works on dodging ranged attacks both on the ground and while flying. He works with them on stealth diving by teaching them to tuck their wings, and rolling at a slow pace to minimize windage in their feathers. "If you keep your dampen your feathers slightly before we depart, it will help keep them flat during your dive." Jinara rubs the side of each of their faces indicating a sign of acknowledgement of their hard work. "Next, we will wing strength while on the ground. Come now Night Dream. Bronze Claw, keep a keen eye!" After working through mid-day, he returns to collect Iron Wing and Calypso. Landing in the grove, Night Dream and Bronze Claw both stealth dive flying from the northeast heading southwest using the mountain as to minimize their visibility on entry. As they break the tree line, the two griffons spread their wings and come out of their dive gliding a foot above the ground. 10 ft of gliding occurs before they softly land on their feet.
Jinara dismounts between the two running his hands along each of their sides. He has a slight smile on his face, boasting a bit for the accomplishments he completed today, anticipating seeing Mucor and Herbert tending to the grove. As he realizes the grove is empty, both griffons take off back to the nests with a gust of wind kicking around Jinara's cloak. He thinks for a second Where are these two? I guess I'll collect Calypso first and come back for Iron Wing.
Jinara taps his boots and flies to the top of the mountain to spot the blue wings of Calypso. Knowing she has an independent temperament, Jinara knows that she could be anywhere around the castle. He spots 2 rather large flying creatures heading towards the castle, and in a bit of a panic, reaches for his earring "Uh...Guys. We have 2 flying creatures approaching from the west. One is carrying something BIG." Unaware of their mission, Jinara approaches the west gate to find Mucor was the something big. Along the road, he spots Aryn and the red hood.
Mucor would look to Aryn after the skeletons haul the coin and jewlery to the treasury. "I don't care how the loot is divided" He would say as he tosses her the bag full of coins he received from the mayor. "I just want to pay off what I owe on the equipment for my chil..... for the bears." He would say with a smile.
(300 gold from town & 40 platinum from the chest for each of us. Aryn will give Mucor 30 platinum and 300 gold of her cut to help him settle the debt. I think it was 1300 you still owed right? Should we just keep the jewelry in the vault?)
"Here you go. As promised." Aryn would say as she hands Mucor the gold and platinum coins.
Jinara would pocket his coin and say "This is going towards a good cause. Keep the jewels in the vault." He would turn towards Gaelin "Will you and Bronze Claw meet me this evening in the grove? I have something for you two."
"Thank you" Mucor would say say with a deep nod and sincere smile. "is... Is there anything I can do for you to repay you?" He would say to Aryn as he takes the money and passes it to a skeleton to deliver for him.
"Take more baths." Aryn responds before smiling and saying, "I'm just kidding Mucor. You're fine the way you are." and she'll reach up and scratch his head behind the ear. "We do have some bandits to the west to take care of. Y'all are welcome to tag along if you want but from the sound of it Gaelin and Jinara already have plans. Zinmaer you wanna join in?" Aryn asks.
(I'm still catching up on all of the reading! You guys have done so much since I had left!)
Zinmaer thought he was standing in the back unnoticed, "I'm happy to help deal with these bandits." Zinmaer could be seen doing a few stretches before they take off.

(Enter Valeera and Gaelin)
(lol perfect!)
Mucor would look to Aryn after the skeletons haul the coin and jewlery to the treasury. "Here you go. As promised." Aryn would say as she hands Mucor the gold and platinum coins.
(Probably good to keep the jewelry in the vault. As a rainy day fund.)
Gaelin will put his share in the vault. "So what's the next stop for the dynamic duo?" Gaelin will say looking at Aryn & Mucor.
Jinara would pocket his coin and say "This is going towards a good cause. Keep the jewels in the vault." He would turn towards Gaelin "Will you and Bronze Claw meet me this evening in the grove? I have something for you two."
(I will write the presentation later today)
"Sure. We'll see you there." Gaelin responds.
"Thank you" Mucor would say say with a deep nod and sincere smile. "is... Is there anything I can do for you to repay you?" He would say to Aryn as he takes the money and passes it to a skeleton to deliver for him.
