Necromancer's Delusion-Homebrew

Grunting, eager to get started takes off and the group manages to make excellent time.  The initial journey is mostly along the road and as they get closer to the mountains, they take a small fork up a trail deep into the wilderness. As they trek further north the landscape begins to shift from deciduous foliage to evergreens.   By the late afternoon they are already more than halfway to their destination.  As the trail starts to taper into game trails the terrain as the base of the mountain range becomes harsher and the foliage thicker.  The landscape’s threat makes it none the less beautiful, even enhancing the beauty of its wild nature.

Gabriel keeps a watchful eye and while on the main road between cities not much can be seen out of the ordinary. A few travelers and caravans pass by waving.  As the group forks towards the mountains you can see wildlife begin to appear.  You have glances of deer, rabbits and birds and even a bear with two cubs off in the distance fishing in a nearby river.

Successfully leading her group into the wilds, Grunting informs the group that it is time to search for a location to setup camp before night fall. (Someone make a survival check- with advantage if someone assists.)

Quentin will Help search the area, using his perceptive talents to assist his most wilderness savvy companion.

Mucor will look for a nice spot with the help of Quentin 15

Over the next hour you continue to make your way up the base of the mountain. Mucor finds a spot about 200 feet off the game trail by a large boulder that should protect one of your flanks and hide the flame of the fire from anything traveling along the game trail.  Setting up camp you gather the necessary supplies to make a fire and setup any defensive measures. 

(Once nightfall comes, 3 groups of two will each have a perception check for keeping watch. You can either roll separately or one can roll with advantage)

Grunting will volunteer the first shift with Mucor.

"Who wants to be my watch buddy!" The large minotaur will ask excitedly, shaking his large head causing his ears to flop back and forth a bit. 

Quentin will volunteer for either the mid or late watch, with whomever else is standing those watches.

"Makes no nevermind to me." The rogue says with an easy smile.

Hearing the squak of his buddy, Mucor will smile and nod towards the Kenku before extending his huge hand towards him for a high five. 

Grunting happily accepts (half-humanoid buddies!)

(so what is your perception, when it is our turn you want to help me (mine is +5) or we can both roll.. or I will totally help you if your perception is higher than +5)

The first watch passes uneventfully.  You chat with each other quietly and can hear an owl in the distance.

Mucor and Grunting hang out around the fire. The minotaur will take the time to cause mushrooms to bloom and form along the wooden face of his sheild and the shaft of his spear. Instead of being random mushrooms of different sizes, Mucor would guide them into nice designs and functional shapes. Along his spear, he will cause mushrooms to form around where he normally positions his hands as added protection for them and on his sheild, he will construct what looks like a webbing of mushrooms that could act to help catch blades and absorb some of the shock form blows. Once complete, the minotaur would pick up Grunting and hold him high in the air, allowing him to stand on his open hands and get a better look around the area. Once Grunting had a good look around, Mucor would move to the top of the boulder nearby and keep watch from up there a bit as well. Occasionally Mucor would cause random mushrooms to bloom and eat some and offer a few to Grunting if he wants them.

Quentin will take the second watch with Yera.

"Looks like it'll be you an' me, m'lady." The rogue grins charmingly.

Yera guffaws at Quentin's comment, "Please, darlin' it's mah pleasure." She says in a mock accent. (You can do the roll with advantage)
