Hit with realization that none of the lightbringers have any insight into his work, Jinara responds "I along with Iris have been making some special for Daegon and Aemyra. Here come see."
He motions Gaelin "stand here. I would like you to attempt to teleport." He turns to Iris "would you cast. I would like to view both you and Gaelin and take clear notes."
Assuming Gaelin doesn't try to resist, Gaelin finishes casting his spell and vanishes in a flash of light. As the light fades however the form of Gaelin remains standing somewhat bewildered. He tries to move but is unable to take even a single step. About six seconds later the spell fades and Iris shakes her head. "I was still concentrating on it, but it ended anyway. Perhaps I didn't have enough ginger root. Still, I would count that as a partial success."
(Jinara- With this successful test you have reduced the time by 8 hours. Once you and the group leave for the parade you will have only 17 hours of study and testing remaining.)
As the day turns to night on Telgun, you are all ushered to the outer courtyard where a mage from Esterlin awaits you. "The final preparations are nearly completed. I hope you are all prepared to depart." You stand around him in a circle and he quickly swirls one hand over the other making a similar teleportation circle appear in his hand but much more rapidly than Gaelin drawing with chalk and as he flips his hand over the ground beneath you illuminates with runes and sucks you in. You reappear in the tower within the city of esterlin. Already you can hear the cheers and general commotion from the city outside. You exit the tower and are escorted to the castle where a caravan carriages await you.
In the front sit Prefect Daestra and general Keldrosh. Daestra is wearing a flowing blue dress with gold accents while the general is still in his half plate armor but now is adorned with a red cloak that drapes behind his back and has a slit 1/3 of the way from the bottom so his tail can fit. The following three carriages are empty and designated for you. Daestra waves excitedly as you approach while Keldrosh stands and salutes.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Well I was wondering if it possible for myself. I've always wanted to be a giant. Do you think Inara would know of any spells that could work?" Aryn says
Deception: 26
Aryn will wear her evening dress from the night she first met the others in the Duke's mansion. She'll hop in the last of the three carriages and look on as her friends each pick theirs.
Aryn- Herbert looks at you intently and says "She may but there is no need for bending the truth with me. I shall contact her and see what I can find out. Perhaps if I knew what the true purpose is I could better aid your efforts."
As each of you choose a carriage and get settled the caravan begins to move. The castle sits on a hill above the rest of the port city and as you look down the road you can see the streets are lined with cheering crowds and torches. The sun hangs in the west and as you travel forward your nostrils are filled with the scents of food and beverages. As you pass along the southern quarter of the city the smell of seafood and spices fill the air. To the east, breads and ales dominate the air. In the north, smokey meats and sweet meads fill your lungs. Along your route thousands upon thousands of citizens shower you with flowers and seeds cheering for the Lightbringers. Behind your caravan marches a fully uniformed army group followed by a band of horns and drums that keep the tempo of the parade. Filling in behind the band are the citizens that join in the festivities and continue to cheer. As you finish your round trip ending at the town hall on the western side of the city, you smell the various foods battling for control. The sun has begun to settle and the sky darken in the east while the west gives off beautiful hues of purple and red. You enter the courtyard of the town hall and see hundreds of long tables spaced out along the grass while countless animals lie roasting on spits over bonfires. The sight reminds you of the grove and you wonder if the food will be as amazing.
As you exit the carriages an array of explosions light up the sky as the mages cast Pyrotechnics. You are shown to a table in the middle of the courtyard along with Daestra and General Keldrosh. The entire population of the city files in behind and occupy the surrounding tables in an inspiring show of camaraderie. You chat and eat while different citizens come by to give their thanks, some with words, some with hugs and kisses. Valeera walks over to a small clearing and transforms into her dragon form and offers children a chance to slide down her tail and wings. Though most are immediately frightened they quickly warm up to the idea and soon Valeera is swarmed by children who run along her huge body grabbing her horns and roaring along with her. The sky darkens and small globes of dim light lift into the air centered above each table illuminating the courtyard in a beautiful array of different colors.
(You can RP as much as you want for the parade. I'll be posting some potential activities for your downtime tomorrow. Sorry for the delay in posting.)
As they arrived back at Daybreak, Mucor would have made his way to the grove and spent time with Button and his family. he would also walk around the grove and check on the progress before meeting back up with the others to teleport back for the parade.
As Mucor approaches the last of the three carriages, he would look down and inspect himself. His thick furry coat would shine in the sunlight without a hint of dirt or mold thanks to his long bath. Holding his tree-like staff in his right hand, and his glimmering shield on his back; he would trace his finger along his wooden chest plate. As he does so, lines and patterns of multicolored mold would spread from his touch, creating a vibrant and beautiful pattern across his armor. Carefully, the hulking minotaur would settle into the carrage, and once seated he would gently tap his staff to the floor. The moment the staff touches the carrage, thirty two swarm of ravens, doves, cardinals, hummingbirds, blue jackets, sparrows, pigeons, Robin's, and more would stream from the tip of his staff. Rising into the air like a living streamer of birds, they would twist and weave through the parade, occasionally landing among groups of children before taking to the air and continuing their aireal display.
Torq, Alexandria and Juliana would make their way to the middle carriage and Torq would wave with his arms and feathered wings at the crowd as they made their way through the city. This would be the first time you see him in his shiny blue and gold breastplate with two fighting bears engraved into the metal.
“Interesting. I hope it will work against him? When Iris cast it on me I could’ve tried to resist.” Gaelin says to Jinara.
Gaelin and Valeera will take the front carriage. He'll use Prestidigitation to create a glowing brass colored dragon on the chest of his tunic and refresh it each hour.
(We'll return to the parade momentarily. As we approach Christmas & end of the year I know everyone is busy. Especially Jinara planning for twins. So, as I mentioned before your characters will have roughly 10-14 days of down time where they can do as much or as little as they want within reason. If you'd like to do a side quest, I will do my best to arrange for that but will be limited for a large part of this time since I will be traveling from the 24th through the 31st. Some additional things you can do if you prefer to attempt to augment your characters are listed below. You are not limited to the things listed below and some of them can be completed in conjunction with another. They are just an example of things you can do. If you would like to try something different or choose an option/s below ask and I'll let you know how it works or what you can accomplish.)
Gain a skill/ weapon proficiency
Craft a new magic item (may take slightly longer for more intricate items.)
Learn a new spell outside your class (spell lvl up to your spell casting modifier. Will have to have three successes.)
Improve your companions (Valeera is exempt from this. She's already OP)
Jinara responds "with enough practice, It is our hope that its difficulty to resist would operate at the level of my other arcane abilities."
Before departing, Jinarar would ask Iris, cast Find Familiar in my ring.
Jinara would take the carriage furthest from the front. As he does he casts a hawk. He would look out the window at the tallest tower within sight and say "perch up and keep a keen eye out for any threat from the sky or the sea. If you see anything, come back to me squawking. The hawk flies off.
Jinara would watch through the hawks eyes until he is out of range and see the horizon in all directions before enjoying the parade.
“You look nice Mucor and you smell pretty good too. See I told you we weren’t going to leave you.” Aryn says as she gestures to the others.
(retcon). “We’ll I’d like to keep that just for my knowledge at the moment. If you can reach out to Inara and find out if she knows of anything I’d be grateful. I’m mainly interested in the ability to permanently change your race.” Aryn replies and will leave Herbert in the grove
(oooh goodies. I’ll have to think over the next day or so what I want to try and will get back to you. I’ll also be traveling the 24-26th)
"Thank you Aryn" Mucor would reply with a soft smile. "You look very nice yourself." The minotaur would add with a small nod of his large horned head.
ooc: Mucor would probably want to work on finishing the grove and upgrading Button and Tree beard. He would also like to know if the werebears liked their handles of their new weapons.. and also also if there is time... commission himself a special ring perhaps...
"If he fails to resist that will be crucial in our next fight. Good work Jinara." Gaelin says excitedly.
(I'd like to learn a new spell and help if construction if possible. Still working out which spell but I think I can learn up to a level 5 since my CHA mod is +5. Is that right xtra?)
(Noted. For those improving followers or helping with construction, you'll need to RP how you'll help. Message me if you need some ideas. At the end of the RP you'll have to make a series of checks for each. )
(Aryn-Options: 1- Improve Sansa & Maximus and higher persuasion DC for pursuing the spell 2- Lower persuasion DC & improve one of your followers. )
(Mucor-Options: 1- improve Button & Treebeard & commission ring 2- Help with construction, Improve one of the two 3- help with construction & commission ring)
(Gaelin- Options: 1- Learn a 4th or 5th lvl spell 2- Learn 2 or 3rd lvl spell & minor help with construction 3- Learn a cantrip or 1st lvl spell & major help with construction)
Jinara- The parade passes uneventfully with no attacks against the city. You assume one of two things has occurred; you have dealt a massive blow to Daegon's armies and though he could strike, he chooses to reserve his strength rather than risk another loss; or Daegon is unable to strike due to being busy with recouping his forces and preparing for an assault elsewhere.

"Umm sure. How can I be of service?" Gaelin responds unsure of what he just stepped into.
(Guessing I'll need to make a roll... Let me know what modifier I need xtra.)
(Gaelin, you'll need to make an Arcana check at the end.)
"Okay..." Gaelin says as he follows Jinara's instructions and begins casting teleport.
(If the teleport spell goes through he'll teleport to the castle teleportation circle.)
Arcana: 17
Iris attempts to cast Arcane Anchor.
Arcana: 25
Assuming Gaelin doesn't try to resist, Gaelin finishes casting his spell and vanishes in a flash of light. As the light fades however the form of Gaelin remains standing somewhat bewildered. (Yes, Mucor went back with the group)
