Mucor would start getting dressed, taking the nice clothes from Aryn and putting them on. "My body may be sore all over but my stomach is telling me I haven't eaten in far too long." Smiling towards Aryn. "I still cannot believe Button tried to kill me... After all I have done for him." The elves eyes would drift towards the floor. "First my parents abandon me and now the closest thing I've had to a son tries to kill me... I... I am lucky to have you Aryn." Mucor would say before looking towards her with a mixture of pain and happiness and fear in his eyes.
Gaelin & Jinara- The ghost stops. Looks at Jinara with a curious gaze and says in a hollow raspy voice, "You should not be here. This place is cursed. Doomed to eternity by one of her kind." it says with a sneer at Valeera. The two ghosts by Kelgos and Iris shift through the southern wall and approach Jinara with the same curiosity. "Why are you here?" a female ghost asks. "Why do you have such a beast in your ranks?" the other ghost adds. Everyone other than Jinara hears the ghosts speaking in a completely foreign language.
Jinara- go ahead and make an intimidation, deception or persuasion check based on how you approach the conversation.
Aryn & Mucor- Inara nods and says, "I will make sure he is aware and will watch the grove diligently until your return. Mucor, make sure you continue to rest. Your body has undergone extreme change rapidly. Be careful of overexerting yourself." She gives a hug to you both and exits the room giving you your privacy and grabs the mage as well leaving the two of you alone.
"We are adventurers come to learn more about the one who desecrated this place long ago. The one who burned the inhabitants and why it chose this city of all the cities in Eraas. We apologize for reacting with attacks, for our path for life has been plagued with enemies in the shadows creating a necessary state of mind in order to survive. Our colleague is one of the metallic origin, which follows the good and moral order of our world. She has been a fierce ally to us. You have my word that she will not attack unless a justified provocation occurs. Give me one moment and I will have her change forms as to not add visual anguish to our intrusion." Jinara says in the same hollow voice.
Jinara dispells his spiritual weapon as a sign of good faith. (if that changes anything about my roll, let me know)

He says telepathically to Valeera "Might you turn into your human form? They have a 'thing' about dragons." (assuming she does) He turns back to the one speaking and says "Might you indulge us for a moment and help us understand your population as it exists today? Are you ghosts from the time of the incursion? We would welcome the opportunity to meet with the one in charge or the one/s with the most history of this place."
Aryn will assist Mucor in getting dressed and lead him out to the city to get a bite to eat. Nothing too fancy, nothing mundane just a good hearty meal.
After putting on the new clothes, Mucor would look himself over. "I'm still not entirely used to looking like an elf.. let alone a well dressed one." Muror would say with a smile. As they made their way through town and got a bite to eat, the elf struggled to push the anger and betrayal he felt towards Button and even his parents out of his mind. Many times during his. meal he would look up to Aryn and smile. He was scared, angry, confused and anxious... but he knew that as long as she was with him things would be alright.
(Jinara- Undead would be religion check, its the same mod so will use your roll. Just fyi in case of future rolls. Dropping the spiritual weapon and asking Valeera to change does lower the high DC so good call.)
Jinara- You watch the ghosts as they process your reply. Their faces relax slightly as Valeera changes back into a human and your arcane weapon dissolves into thin air. "We three are victims of the desolation millennia ago. There are 46 of us left now that you've destroyed four more. Most remain in the ruins of the keep. However, there are many others who have traveled here like you and fallen becoming cursed themselves. They will not be as open to discussion as we, becoming closer to ravenous beasts. You wish to learn of our people, our history why?" the ghost asks her face getting within inches of yours. As she speaks you feel a strange icy cold aura around her that rushes over your face. When you reply you can see your breath condense and freeze into a small cloud of water vapor that seems to ripple through the ghost's being.
Gaelin- You don't see any other creatures but can tell the ghosts seem conflicted. They appear open to the idea of conversation but still have trepidations about your group as you catch their gazes flitting between each of the members. Valeera does spot movement in the shadows behind the wall to the northeast and hears snarls.
Cedany, Kelgos and Iris collect around Gaelin and Valeera looking on with curiosity at the sight of the three ghost surrounding Jinara and conversing with him. Iris begins to take notes while Cedany and Kelgos exchange a glance at one another and scan the building.
Aryn & Mucor- Finding a place to eat is an easy task and within a few minutes you find a tavern that meets your needs. Both of your stomachs rumble as you sit at a table and are waited on by a barmaid. You make your orders and wait patiently for your food before after long it arrives hot and fresh. The barmaid brings an extra round of drinks and leaves you to your meal which is delicious. You assume it's the onset of hunger that causes the food to taste so good but after a few minutes of eating you still find the flavoring quite delectable.
"We do apologize for the loss of 4 in your community today. Perhaps there is something within our power that we can offer as recompense. We are willing to provide any aid we can, but know that I am the only one who can understand you currently. Any action is up to their interpretation. I can keep from attacking if any others, but I will need to address them soon as their nerves will shorter and shorter the longer we talk. As for our visit, we have intelligence that the drake that brought desolation is still alive in a different plane and is trying to return. We have been on a researching expedition to learn all we can about its history during the cataclysm and the places it visited or conquered. It is our hope to discover something that will help us learn how it was killed or banished millennia ago. Our most recent discovery led us to hear. The gentleman down there (pointing to Gaelin without breaking eye contact with the ghost) experienced some ancient magics that placed him in the mind of a mage alive during the attack who assumably aided in the defense of this city. The name associated with experience was Nadeir Elvath. Might there be anyone here that could have some memory of that day or this name?" Jinara says to the ghost leading the discussion.
Jinara will say telepathically without looking down "Discussing why we are here. 46 ghosts here in total. Some are nice, some are not. Do not attack, but do not get surprised. Hold any attack for the moment."
Aryn will loook at Mucor and try to gauge how he is holding up then ask, "I know you're pretty tough but are you okay? You had me worried there for a while. I don't want you to do anything hasty especially if your body isn't up to it. The journey to the estate is going to be quite cold and long."
"I'm a little sore yet but i'll manage." Mucor would reply with a smile as he pokes at his food... taking smaller bites but not eating like his normal fast sloppy self "I guess. I guess I'm just waiting for the next thing to go wrong." The elf would finally say with a heavy sigh. "When I woke up and you were gone... for a moment I thought you were gone for good... that maybe you had left me too." He looks down at the table as though ashamed. "And the thing is... I wouldn't have blamed you... It's all I have ever known. I know you miss your parents. they loved you and you loved them. I was thrown away and rejected at first glance moments after I was born. Then... after living alone for most my life.. I join up with a group of people and do some good.. I start to feel good about myself and even make a friend. Quinten. After working with him and a few others I had more gold than I had ever had in my life... and I gave it all to him so that he could buy what he needed. The next day he was gone. No note.. nothing. Then one by one the other members of the group left as well. Finally I decided that I would make myself a friend. I would make a friend that I would treat with nothing but kindness and respect." Mucor would say as a few tears formed in his eyes. "because I was stupid enough to think that maybe.. just maybe if I tried to love someone that maybe they would love me back. Button was my son, my friend, by brother... and what did I get for my trouble.. for just wanting someone to talk to." Mucor makes a fist and pounds the table... his voice raising slightly. "I'm tired of being sad Aryn... and I can feel my sadness turning to anger and and I'm scared. I am more angry now than I ever was as a minotaur. I'm scared I'm going to get rejected again when we see my parents and I'm scared that I'm going to lose my temper and do something I'll regret... and I'm scared that I'm going to lose you. I love you Aryn... and it scares me because everyone I care about leaves me eventually so I don't want to feel that way. You have always been so great to me and I know that if I love you that I'll lose you just like everything else." The elf would say as he wipes his eyes with the sleeve of his fancy shirt.

the ghosts confer with one another exchanging glances. “Nadeir was destroyed centuries ago by a band of explorers such as yourselves. He was a good man in life as he was in death.” The ghost halts speaking as the snarling grows louder. “Get out. Escape into the light and if you survive meet us at the collapsed entrance to the keep.” She says before fading into the floor with the others. A split second later you hear moans and howls from the northeast, northwest and southeast echoing down the stairwell. Though you hear noises you can visually make out any figures in the darkness beyond.
“Valeera. Dragon form now! Everyone get on her back as quickly as possible. Fly them out of here towards the keep but stay in the sunlight! Hurry. Now!” Jinara says fervently. He stays aloft as the party exits the space through the roof opening and watched for creatures. He floats up 10 ft per round until he is in the hole of the roof or until he sees creatures. The he dashed towards the keep.
You all climb aboard Valeera's back and hold on tight as the huge dragon leaps into the air. Using her claws she climbs carving claw marks into the stone while her wings flap violently propelling her higher towards the dome. You see a jet of flame burst out from her mouth and the dome above your heads explodes upward in flames. Bits of stone and metal rain down on you as Valeera continues up and out of the dome. A large chunk of rock hits Iris in the chest and knocks her off disappearing in the plume of dark smoke and dust from Valeera's breath. Valeera breaches the ceiling passing through the now large hole in the dome. You see the collapsed northeast corner of the building and squint as your eyes adjust to the flood of sunlight after being in the building.
As you climb into the air you notice Iris is missing. You hear her voice in your mind say, "I'm at the entrance. Come quick." Valeera turns back towards the front of the building. As you pass over the edge of the building you see Iris running away from the doorway clutching her side. Valeera drops to the ground as Iris continues her hobbled sprint towards the dragon and you see a swarm of the light skinned creatures, that you killed when you first arrived, chasing behind her and exiting the doorway. As they enter the sunlight you finally catch a good glimpse of their features. They are completely naked, humanoid in appearance but gnarled and mangy. White matted hair and pale leathery skin cover a body that has little muscle or fat and wide bloodshot eyes stare at their target while crooked broken teeth snap at the air. The creatures howl and snarl as they try to catch up to Iris.
(Xtra. With Jinara flying out separately, could I have not made an attempt to catch her as the falls? If not, would I be in a position to immediately dive back down to pick her up?)
