Eric looks around but shakes his head quietly. Enora the Drifter steps forward and examines the lock and says "This lock looks old. We might be able to break it if we can get some tools." She then steps back and says, "Said tools are most likely to be in the blacksmith's place. Might find some good weapons and armor too." At that point Havena speaks out, "But wouldn't breaking the lock let the Giant Rats in? I think we should try and find some way to get over the wall or a key or anything." Enora glares at Havena and was about to say something when Allie speaks up, "Um... We don't have to enter the building alone. We can just try to all climb over the wall somehow and then enter the house. I'm sure everyone is alright and when we meet them, they can open the door for us." Mark brings his fist down on his palm as he gets an idea, "Wait, if there are people inside, they'd probably want to at least talk to the rest of us. If we follow the walls and get close to the mansion proper, we can make a lot of noise so that we get their attention." Eric pipes up again, "That is likely to attract the rats to us." Cathy retorts, "You have a better idea, Mr. Negativity?"
DM: Alright so the NPCs are discussing ideas. Now some of these NPCs (like Cathy and Enora) belong to the towns "Badass Group" (Not a real group. They're just a bit more competent at being DnD heroes than the other commoners) but aren't level 1 yet. So if the three PCs were to come to a conclusion, they as well as every other NPC in the party will follow your lead. Keeping that in mind, do you have any ideas of your own or do you like one of the ideas the NPCs are discussing. The final word lies with Chives, Joben and William.
You may roll Investigation for the pros and cons of each of the discussed ideas, though I'm pretty sure you already know the pros and cons without rolling.
“I like the idea of going to the blacksmith’s shop. Who knows what kind of useful things we might find! Heck, we might find a lock there to replace this one if we have to break it.”
Chives agrees with Joben. "I don't want to attract any more attention than necessary right now... but if we find some better things to bash the rats with, then we'd be having much more fun!"

(When/if I can) William reaches out with both hands from behind Joben, one to cover his mouth to try to muffle any sound, and one to pinch his nose in an attempt to stop the tickle and prevent the sneeze.
OOC: if i can only get one hand in place I would say pinch the nose, unless Chives acts first and does one of those two.
William pinches Joben's nose and Joben feel's the sneeze pass. After a while, William lets go (because you can't hold on forever and Joben probably doesn't want his nose pinched for all of eternity). William takes his hands back and all is quiet.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-"
Joben inhales sharply as the god sneeze returns and is about to blow.

The great sound of the sneeze seem to shake the windows of the nearby buildings. The sound echos across the entire village. The force of the sneeze is so great that Chives feels a strong wind blow all over her as she is sneezed on. She feels a bit wet below the waist. Being held upside down causes a big wad of snot to fly out of Joben's nose and hit Chives directly between the legs. All is silent for a while. And then the squeaking starts.
In a panicked tone, Allie says, "Now all of Nowhere knows we're here!"
You hear chirping and then a tiny voice saying, "They're here! Surround them!". You look up and notice a few pigeons circling you. The pigeons have Rat Marine riding them. They are being controlled by a string going across the birds' beaks. You have a limited time before the rat army is upon you. What do you do?
Chives jobs the disgusting halfling, then runs as fast as she can towards the blacksmith.

The house seems to be a bit too far away and the windows too dirty too see properly. (Perception roll too low)

OOC: how far off is the blacksmith’s shop?
Not too terribly far but there is a chance that the rats have taken it over.
Does Chives have anything to add to the conversation?
Chives agrees with Joben. "I don't want to attract any more attention than necessary right now... but if we find some better things to bash the rats with, then we'd be having much more fun!"

“Let’s move quietly.”
stealth: 22
Hmmmmf. Didn’t roll....
stealth: 22
Joben and Chives, roll stealth.
Chives please roll... oh OH I just notice Joben rolled a nat1.
The party keeps moving toward the blacksmith. Then he gets the unstoppable, 9th level Wish spell category urge to sneeze.
You have one reaction to do something. Roll initiative and if it is 15 or higher, you have one shot to try and prevent this disaster.
Chives and William, roll initiative DC15. If you pass it, it means you can try something to stop Joben's sneeze of sneezes

Chives, you have one chance to stop Joben's God Sneeze. What do you do?

Joben, what are your thoughts and reactions? Also roll a check against being grappled by Chives. You may choose to fail it if you wish.
Joben sneeze seems to subside a little...
"AAAAACHOOO!"
