Landrae is trying to work out if the effects that she and her party are suffering from are magical, planar, or mundane in nature. Hopefully to gain some insight on how to cure everyone.
Jack pulls the book from his pack. “I found this in one of the rooms on the main floor. It is written in a tongue I do not know or care to look at long and hard, for obvious reasons.” Jack let’s the others see the writing which no one can make sense of. “We may find someone in the future that can give us some help. But for now I will hold on to it for safe keeping.” He places the book back in his pack.
“I really do not feel like myself and do not want to continue going crazy in my head. I’m not sure if it is because of this house or those things we killed. I am going to follow whatever we decide, but let’s figure out what that is and do it.”

((Gosh darned rolls...))
After her inner questioning of the nature of their malady, Landrae is again struck by fear, fear that they may never find a cure, that she will forever be a nervous wreck, teetering on the brink of sanity for the rest of her life... All she wanted was a tale to sing, and she was cursed in her attempts to find it once. Now, again, she seems cursed, unable to hold a steady moment of sensible thought before she begins to suffer paranoid delusions... Just like this one. I am not cursed again... This will pass... Hold yourself together girl! There is hope to write an epic tale yet, we must just escape this madness first. Landrae tries to convince herself over and over that this is not going to take hold, that there is light in her future. She is visibly trembling again and have along the wall in a slow, steady step, away from the scene down here, back towards the kitchen and the street beyond.

SAVE: 13... so damn close...
Looking near the summoning circle it appears to be wreathed in flames Duncan will say "We should all get out of here!" and head quickly towards the door. After all are outside he will turn to Elber and say "friend... it seems that the madness has left you. Please help me know reality while I am afflicted."
((Seems like everyone is leaving the house)) Jack follows everyone outside, stopping to relook the front door. He pursues Landrae trying to calm her down and telling her that everything is ‘going to be ok’.
Wherever the party goes to rest before the meeting with Elron, be it the tavern or a quieter place, Elber will make sure to stay in the center of the group, ready to grab hold of and restrain/support any of his afflicted friends as needed.
((OOC - Does anyone know how to get back to the inn, or to the lake? The way Hosvi led us was very winding until we got to the slums. We should be trying to minimize interactions whilst we travel.
((Elber has a decent sense of direction (based on his +4 Survival) and was recently outside to find a guard. Barring random encounters, we ought to be fine.))
Kai, not fully believing the Alchemist wholly responsible and worried for the children, goes with the party. He has helped to rid the world of unnatural creatures and bring about a better balance to the world.
When the party returns to the Bloody Thorn, Elber escorts those who still feel uneasy to their separate rooms to rest, and then takes post in the tavern to make sure Elron finds at least one of them when the time is due.
((@JJ: Unless there was to be a random encounter on the road, we don't mind to skip ahead until Elron's return.))
((OOC - Aye, happy to move forwards to 18:00. Only suggestion is whether Elber or Kai want to do anything in the preceding hours like purchase supplies etc, or wait until the morning?))
<< I am good, I just want to do rest and switch up a little more offense and healing spells, how many hours of rest before we meet? Or would the meeting interrupt a long rest?>>
Free from the confines of the narrow dungeon and the horrors which lie within it your heads begin to clear. The encounter with the alchemist and his 'children' now seems nothing more than a distant nightmare.
Your madness conditions have dissipated, but lingering effects such as nervousness and anxiety will last until you have rested.
(Sorry for making a mess of that, but now we can put it behind us.)
Kai and Elber successfully navigate the narrow alleys and emerge from the slums thirty minutes later. Crossing the bridge, it is an easy matter to return to The Bloody Thorn.

"Lan suggested the tavern, but maybe a breath of fresh air be better. I would not mind scrubbing clean by the lake."
