Thrann insists that the Thundering Lizard Inn mounts a Wildhammer banner on their wall to signify his glory as their champion. He's mildly hungover and merely follows the others while riding his mule, Betsy. "Agh, why's it so bright oot?" he says, as he feels blinded by the piercing sunlight, which is amplified due to his state. Once they arrive to the expedition center, Thrann measures Azaka up and down, and after Usul introduces himself, Thrann adds in. "Oi lass, ah'm Thrann Wildhammer! The mighty champion of the Thundering Lizard Inn. Maybe ye heard o' me?" Thrann says with a substantial amount of pride, as he seems to want to impress Azaka as Thrann does have a weakness for beautiful women. "Me mates an' ah can getcha mask back so ye can guide us through the forest. With me lookin' ova ye, nothin' can go wrong." Thrann offers some exaggerated assurance, since he's not sure what the task entails exactly. He's just wanting to display his bravado
As Auran buys his mount, Hamm does see a few creatures that he could transform into. He sees a giant lizard, a flying snake, a flying monkey, and something the locals call a Clawfoot (Deinonychus), a feathery lizard that stands about half as tall as a human.
DM - if you can't see the stats for the flying monkey or Deinonychus, I'll get them in a little bit.
Azaka turns to Usul and says, "There is a good chance that we will need climbing equipment to get my mask, and its good thing to have in the jungle. A rain catcher and insect repellent are also necessities in the jungle." She turns to Thrann, "Ah, we've got a fighter with us! He'll come in handy when we run into the undead, even if he's just bait. Haha!" She gives Thrann a good slap on the back. Upon seeing the mounts, she adds, "Whoa. This is quite the parade we've got here! All these beast might attract some undead, but I'm sure that we can hold our own. Well, I'm ready to embark when you are."
DM - Rain catchers cost 1 gp, a block of burning insect repellent costs 1 sp, and a container of liquid insect repellent costs 1 gp.
((I'll definitely want insect repellent. How many would we need per day/week/month? I'll buy that for Usul for sure. For climbing equipment, I'd like to tie knots into mine every couple feet. I'm assuming that this would shorten it to 40feet, but I'm hoping it would give some advantage when climbing.)) ((How good is Hamm at Survival? Will we be hardcore tracking food and things? How much do we need for food rations?))
"Well if we need climbing equipment, I'm going to need a complex pulley system for Gregory here, I don't know how he's going to make it up something that would necessitate something like that... I'll gladly front the gold for any climbing equipment you'd recommend for everyone." Hamm says as he dismounts his elephant
When asked about prices, the woman running the Eploration Center says, " One container of liquid insect repellent has 20 uses. Each use lasts 24 hours, and is water proof, so it won't wash off by accident. One container would last one person 20 days, or the four of you five days A burning block of insect repellent lasts 8 hours, and keeps all insects away in a 20 ft. circle. A climber's kit costs 25 gp. But the pulley system, I'm afraid I can't help you with that. That sounds like a job for an engineer. I would recommend Weshtek Redwound. He might be able to help you, but he is quite busy most of the time. He lives in the tall building next to the harbor."
DM - Once you enter the jungle, don't be afraid to come back to Port Nyanzaru.
"Could we not simply tie up our mounts and return for them after we do the climbing bits? Perhaps my purchase of Peaches was not well thought out. I shall return once I've resolved my mount's fate."
[[OOC: I may go try to return my mount. I need more gold for Insect repellent and a climber's kit.]]

Azaka speaks up, "You could tie up our mounts before doing any climbing. And if you can get a pulley system that could work for an elephant, I'm sure it could work for just about anything."
Thrann insists that he'd purchase the climber's kit, as well as the insect repellent, brandishing the gold pieces needed to purchase the items and handing them to the appropriate vendor. "Ah've done a lot of climbin' in ma youth, nothin' new tae me. Can' have bugs eatin' at me, ah prefer to let ma skin breathe." Thrann suggests, since all he's wearing on his torso is a harness to support his maul and adventuring gear.
After you pay for your items, Azaka speak, "Well, it seems like we're ready to go! Now, into the jungle!" With that, ahe lends you out of Port Nayanzaru, and into the wilderness.
You treck all day, covering about 10 miles. You hear the constant chirping and growling from wild animals, but nothing comes from it. As you set up camp for the night, Azaka explains where you are going. "Thank you for aiding me in the retrieval of my mask. You really don't know what it means to me. It resides in Firefinger, an old signal tower from Chult's prime. Now, it is just a strange stone tower in the middle of the jungle. A group of Terrorfolk live there, they are the ones who took my mask. The trip is about 8 days south-east. If you help me retrieve my mask, I will lead you anywhere you need to go in Chult."
