Clodius gives a look of disgust after looking inside. "Looks like my father's place when he passed!" As he lets a small chuckle he faces Kathleen and says: "Melee combat?! Maybe 60 years ago but not anymore! Nyehehe! My sorcery and wand should suffice."
(Just a heads up, I'm out of town this weekend so I might check less often)
Kathleen gives Clodius a confused look. She shakes her head to indicate that she doesn't hear the snoring. She readies and arrow just in case something tries to attack them and follows Clodius.
Readied Action: If anything tries to attack her or Clodius, she will launch an arrow at it.
Kargram walks into the swamp town sniffing the air. <This looks promising.> He thinks to his self. Taking a brief look around he walks spotting what looks like an inn he enters. Approaching the bar he asks"Can I get a pint, a bit of meat, and maybe a room for the night."
The room you are in is about 20'×20', not including the hallways on the northern and western walls. On the southern side, there is a stairway leading into water, and a stairway leading up to the next floor. The latter staircase is heavily damaged, and looks extremely fragile. The walls and both staircases have massive gashes cut into them, and there are faint reddish-brown stains in many places.
So, for reference:
North: 10' hallway
West: 10' hallway
South: stairs down to flooded floor, stairs up to the third floor
East: exit to balcony
Bar:
The armor heeds your command and moves to The back room and quickly returns with some variety of small cooked bird and a tankers of ale.
"YOUR ORDER, ESTEEMED GUEST. THAT WILL BE ONE GOLD PIECE OR EQUIVALENT."
I take a large swing of ale. And tear one leg, including thigh, off the bird cleaning all the meat from the bone. Turning my attention back to the bartender.
“So are you also up on the local gossip Tin Man? I hear tale of strange beasts wondering this swamp. How about lycans? Any packs around here? Or town folks who talked about being attacked by an animal and then started acting odd?”
I take another good drink of ale. And start in on the other leg and thigh.
"Very well, let's head north" Clodius sends his dancing lights towards the northern hallway, he follows about 10 feet behind them while carefully listening for something suspicious.
The hallway is quiet, but you manage to pick up on a quiet chattering noise from the hallway ceiling, and the sources are soon revealed: stirges. A nest 'o stirges.
Kathleen quietly says, "I think we should take a rain check and come back here after we make sure there isn't another stirge nest in the West Hall way. What do you say?"

Kathleen says, "I can hold my own in a melee but I excel at ranged combat. So let's try to keep our distance from any hostiles that might show up."
"Very well, also do you hear that snoring?"
Clodius carefully walks into the room guiding his dancing lights 10 feet in front of him.

The barkeep is strangely missing, but some voice from a back room answers your call.
"IN A MINUTE!"
A walking, empty suit of armor walks out.
"I AM AUTOMATED BARTENDER VERSION 3. PLEASE STATE YOUR ORDER."

Kargram is a bit taken aback by the unusual sight. ”Err. I want a pint of ale, a meal, and a room.”
"PROCESSING ROOM ORDER. PLEASE STATE THE DRINK AND COMESTIBLE YOU DESIRE."
Walton Gibson - Human Cleric, Level 1
So uh, can I get a description of the room?
“Ale will do nicely. With what ever meat dish is quickeat to get.”
(Oh yeah forgot about that)

Kathleen points to the north Hallway and says "Let's try to go that way!"
(By the way, can I tell what this current room was originally used for?)
The current room might have been a dining room, judging from the long table and chairs surrounding it.

I pause in the middle of raising the drink to my lips.
"I assume that gold covers the cost of the room as well?"
"YES. FEE PAYS FOR ROOM."

"Hmmm very well, you lead the way"
Clodius dispells the dancing lights and follows Kathleen.
