After the monster falls I turn to track down the hooded man. "Where in gods name do you think you are going?" I shout to him and begin running after him.
OOC: That is if I can still see him. If not, I will wait by the children.

Enog wipes his face and turns to the children and as he takes a knee he says to them, "My name is Enog Stormbringer, I am a cleric of the storm. My friends and I will protect you and get you to safety." He smiles broadly at them. "You are safe now. Can you tell me where these bad people took you from?"
ooc: (insight:5) to determine the Children's mental state so that I can see how to best comfort and reasure them.
The children are obviously scared, not sure how to approach this new group of people. One of them is a boy, the other a girl. Both, though, can't have seen more the twelve winters.
The girl: " AAAA, Orc! " and tries to hide herself behind a crate.

"Despite what my comrades have said, I do not eat people," Enog smiles warmly at them both, "Master Graysmith was simply trying to frighten the bad people. It's going to be okay I won't harm either of you. I'm a friend." (persuasion:12)
"It is going to be all right, Nadia, I promise you"
"Sorry, Sir, I act...a...thank you for saving us from those blokes. My name is P-Pavel and this is my sister-er Nadia. I...we don't know who they were...they just came to ou-our home after the orcs...and they took us"

OOC: Sorry about that, thanks for reposting.
Krisnen will call out from the boat, "Looks like the trip was to be a longer one, from the looks of these provisions" he begins to pick up the supplies and store them where he can when he see's the compass. "Hello there, what have we here" he looks the device over.
Investigate the Compass: 8 (to determine what is "weird" about it)
"I am Enog, as I said before, and I am glad to meet you both Nadia and Pavel, though in truth I would it were under better circumstances." The big half orc extends his hand to shake each of theirs in turn. "Your parents, were they with you in your uncle's home Pavel?" Enog asks looking at the boy gravely.
Fergus surveys the situation and when he realizes that the hooded figure has escapes a menacing snarl crosses his lips. He turns to the ranger "Forester, may the Hells take you! I told you to watch him! Now there is no telling where he is at, if there are others nearby, or what. We need to rest and now this place isn't safe to camp. Blasted elves. First, I told you to help the Priest and you didn't listen and almost got him killed. And now you thought the Dwarf and I needed rescued. Do your job Forester!"
"Now does anyone know how to sail that bloody thing? Because if not, we need to gather up those children and get moving!"
After his rant Fergus will scavenge the hooded outer garments the remaining hood figures are wearing as well as any weapons, supplies, and coin he finds on them.

As for me, I choose to believe that an extinct thunder lizard is running a game of Dungeons & Dragons via Twitter!
"Our parents are in Callydir. Please Sir, could you take us there?"
[The compass, instead of the usual needle, has a vague shape of an octopus...The tentacles point all in a single direction, but you are sure that that direction isn't north. It points somewhere east, in the Sea of Swords]
"Well my young friends the chaos of the storm has again fortuitously aligned the courses of those it favors. It just so happens we are headed for Caer Callidyr to answer the call of High King Kendrick. It would be our honor to see you safely back to your parents." Stormbringer smiles widely at them. "But perhaps young Master Pavel, you might tell us exactly where on Alaron we are?" He again smiles broadly at them. "You see my companions and I were shipwrecked on our way here from Baldur's Gate, and I don't believe any of us are certain precisely which part of the Island we've washed up on. The only thing we're certain of is that we'd need to head north toward the Fairhight Mountains, but as we've no idea where we're at presently, It will be hard to determine whether it will be quicker to go over land or to take this boat and sail around the coast to Caer Callidyr."
"Shipwrecked? Well, you are lucky then. No one survives shipwrecks, da says. We better stay not too close to the shore. Sea is dangerous, da says. One more day, maybe a little more, and we are in Callydir"
Krisnen walks back from the boat carrying the supplies in time to hear Fergus give his tongue lashing to Sarmyar, "I too take fault Fergus, the knots I crafted about the mans wrists and ankles must not have been secure enough..." he continues past after saying his peace and approaches Enog and the children. "A days travel, well that's closer than I was guessing. Enog, have you seen anything like this before?" he presents the compass for Enog to see.

[In the boat, there some mundane supplies: food (roughly for 4-5 persons for 10 days), clothes, bedrolls and a weird compass.]
OOG Sorry guys, I did a mistake in giving you the right XP amount for the seamonster. Here is the right:
[50 XP each!: cumulative 150 XP]

Long days and pleasant rolls to everyone.
OOG Yeah, the hooded man is not in sight anymore. He got away...

"Your home is the farm house near here?" Enog asks, though he's fairly confident he already knows that the answer is yes.
OOC: Do I need to roll an investigation check for the boat, or I don't find anything?
" Yes, Sir...well No, Sir that be uncle's home. We are from Callydir"
ooc: post #323 clergy
OOG No need for a check there: Here is what you found:
