Delg - the ale is good - it actually reminds you of the ale you've have at the Stonehill Inn.  The men are still laughing, wiping their eyes, and generally acting like inebriated sots.  They all pony up their bets and one of them nods.  "Black Shpider shounds shcary, though, dunnit?" he slurs.

Melkias snaps his fingers together, ensuring all eyes are on him.

"Ah yes, the Black Spider...I've heard tales of that mysterious stranger. Biggest player in the game, so to speak. I've heard the Black Spider likes to skin people who displease him or her alive but offers great coin to those loyal. We're in for a real treat"

He looks to Raya.

"And if we don't make good coin, we wouldn't BEAR it."

He nods to Ajax.

Delg takes his mug and slams it into the face of the man on his left. 

(Can I kick at his chair to try and get him to fall or is that an attack?)

Melkias leaps into action at the first sign of combat, drawing his rapier and attacking the same target as Delg.

He yells to Mulligan, "You got this! Hit him where it hurts!"

Delg - make an attack roll to hit him with the mug - with advantage

Delg smashes his mug into the face of the nearest Redbrand, catching him square in the jaw.  Mulligan charges for the one on the right, connecting solidly with his hammer.  The man falls backward out of the chair.

 The Redbrand hit by Delg and Melkias is looking bad - bleeding from his nose, which appears broken, and knocked off his chair by the rapier attack.  "Wha - what are you doing?!" he shouts, trying to draw his weapon, fingers scrabbling at the sword at his waist.

"Why, you haven't heard of a double-cross? My, you're as dumb as you are ugly!"

(Casting Vicious Mockery for 2 psychic damage and disadvantage on his next attack, same target, Wis Save DC 13)

(Edit: A thought, mayhaps they are considered poisoned for this encounter, being they are almost falling over drunk? That was a secondary goal of pretending we were with them for so long, to ensure they were mighty intoxicated. Also, this is in NO WAY a ploy to have to roll twice against Vicious Mockery....as I just realized that If he has disadvantage for the encounter, my attack was utterly wasted. For the love of the gods...)

Ajax was looking forward to this: as soon as the mug hit a redbrands, he smirks and suddenly uses his glaive against another drunkard

Ajax keeps attacking the same if not knocked out by the surprise attack otherwise to the next redbrands at the table

Raya locks eyes with Melkias, understanding the intent and nods back. She will Wildshape into a Brown Bear as a BA, Roar as she does so, then multiattack the Redbrand closest to the north door.

Raya (Bear form) will do another multi attack against the closest Redbrand. Both attacks will be against the same target. She softly roars/grunts before each attack.

Ajax, seeing Delg clobber the Redbrand with his mug, strikes out with his glaive, hitting the remaining Redbrand.  The man is caught by surprise and is unable to dodge the blow.  The weapon opens a nasty looking wound down his right side, the blood beginning to flow immediately, a small puddle already forming on the floor from the grievous wound.

The nearest still a threat (if any), Delg will go two handed strike with his Warhammer.

Attack: 5 Damage: 11

Raya changes into her bear form, roars, and then attacks the closest man.  Her bite misses, but her large claws catch on his chest, opening parallel lines that begin to bleed profusely.  He gurgles, then falls to the ground, silent. 

RECAP:  Surprise round has left one Redbrand dead, and the other two near death.  The remaining Redbrand is unconscious over by the east wall.

Raya, still in bear form, turns to attack the Redbrand fighting with Delg and Melkias.  She snaps her jaws, but her teeth only grasp onto his clothes, tearing as he rips away.  She swipes her claws, but again misses.
