"They left their friend to die..?" Baxthon is just standing there, conflicted.
Then he spits on the ground. "Blast it! Daeron! You seem to know more of these war machines. Surely they can be deactivated or something. We cannot fight an enemy blindfolded. I have to know what we are dealing with here!"
The anger is clear in his voice.
"Anyway, when those men return to the village, surely the first thing they will do is to report to the guardian. And he wont turn down a fight. So we can either have a picnic waiting for him here, or scout ahead while waiting for him, actually earning our keep. I sure as hell aint going back now! Not before i have gained something."
He starts chewing his leaves, to calm down. Turning his back to the group. Looking for something in the horizon. Anything. A noise? A war machine must be easy to spot. Smoke?
"All I know is that two Goblins almost killed us yesterday armed with standard weapons. If we fought a larger number of Goblins who have advanced war machines, I'm certain that they would actually kill us this time, even with extra numbers. We never signed up to be soldiers for these people and I'm not letting you get us all killed because you need to feel useful. Sorry."And Daeron begins to head back without waiting for a response.
He spits the leaves out of his mouth. "Soldiers?.. nah.. That doesnt seem likely.. I am however certain there is something to learn from these machines.."
Looking towards the group again. "I dont know.. maybe Daeron is right. There is no sign of the machines as far as i can see, maybe we could catch one of the Goblins for questioning? It does seem like suicide to just walk into their camp unprepared.."
"Hold on Daeron." The elf looks towards the dwarf "I don't think we should fight the goblins, but I think the dwarf has a point. I think we should try to get an eye on the camp and see if we can find this scout the goblins captured."
"No, it wouldn't. Ok, here's a better idea. How about we go back to the village and help the other scouts warn them of the danger and convince them of the need to send some of their guards along with us to go on a mission to get the scout out? That way, we're not abandoning him to die, but we're also not getting ourselves killed."
"I agree with Daeron we neither have the strength or experience to break somebody out a camp by force or other skills. If you want intel about the camp or the war machines why don't we catch up with the scouts and question them. Seems better then sending this energised monkey to a scouting mission while he doesn't even know what a machine is." Panavor going back to the village to.
"Well, what you choose to do is on you. I for one would like to do some scouting before the guardian begins charging into their camp, like he did the zombies. That half-orc is not stealthy at all.."
Baxthon picks up a leaf and starts chewing it.
"You can tell the guardian that I and whoevers with me, went ahead. I dont want to pick a fight, but i wont let them kill me back in the village by surprise. We need intel. Both on the war machines and the prisoner. If these guys are as horrible as you say, we are all probably going to die soon anyway."
Baxthon begins to walk a few steps further away from town, in the direction the scouts were fleeing from. Looking back at the group, and especially at Fang. "You with me?"
Daeron heads back towards the town with Panavor, letting the other two members of his original party decide what they may. "I hope that things work out for you." Foolish dwarf.
(I'm not going to presume how Savan and Esfira decide to handle this)

Fang grins at Bax and punches his right hand into his left palm, "Off course! The mighty Fang Wu Kong never lets his friends go into bad places alone!"
He then looks to Daeron as he's leaving and waves, "See you later! Tell Goldy I said hi!"
For a moment the elf stands in a meditative state before looking toward the dwarf "I'm sorry, dwarf. We'll be back soon." With that he looks toward the drow before catching up with the half-elves.
Baxthon dont plan to go very far. He believes the Guardian will charge into battle, destroying any hope to get any intel on the enemy. He wants to peoceed slow. He is aware that without the elves they are now at a severe disadvantage. He wants to avoid fighting if possible. Half the time is spend looking for any movements, looking into the distance, listening for ANYTHING that may indicate the enemy. The rest of the time is spend trying to calm Fang, to not give us away.
If we dont see anything within the hour, we may take a break, to evaluate our options.

Fang is actually pretty quiet all on his own, his furred body and lack of items, allowing him to nimbly move around with barely a sound. However, with him looking everywhere, it's hard for him to focus on anything in particular. However, it's clear that he wants to save this troubled person, but is following Bax's lead.
(OoC: "Don't you know, you never split the party~" XD, loving this)
You walk forwards for a few minutes. Baxthon, you try your best to calm Fang, which results in you not focusing on your own stealth, and when you eventually hear what you think must be a goblin scout, you realize that you had been walking very loudly.
"They're returning to the village. I suggest that we join them." And with that, Daeron starts heading back to the village.

No sign of machines are visible in the distance, however, from what you understand. You are still a ways off from the camp they where talking about.

"Yes. That's a much better idea." Thank the gods. At least someone in this party doesn't want to go kill themselves.
