Mike doesn't spot anything unusual in the immediate vicinity. 

If you plan on making your way toward the village to scout, go ahead and make stealth checks. (I'm assuming you want to approach quietly.)

Mok Stealth: 24

( Sorry for the wait - wanted to see if more people were going to join the check )

Mok creeps toward the edge of the woods. You are able to see the village more clearly now that the fog is gone.

A river runs from the west, spilling into the bay to the East. On the near side of the river right where it runs into the Bay is a small settlement surrounded by a wooden palisade. The water from the river has been diverted to create a moat so the settlement is surrounded on all sides by water. You can see the drawbridge from here, at the moment it is currently raised.

You can’t see much of what lies behind the walls, but you can see the roofs of two different two story buildings inside. There is also a stone tower that rises up to overlook the Bay.

You can see the field with tall grass, that you crept through last night; dull and brown from winter.  Now that it's daytime, you see dozens of crows circling and picking at the unburied bodies. Close to the moat is a livestock pen that currently seems to be empty.

The smoke rising from behind the walls is much fainter now, the dampness of the night before helping to put out the flames.

Mok will slowly move closer bit will stay far enough away to remain out of sight. He will continue to observe the walled settlement as he waits to see what the rest of the group is planning to do.

Minda says, "Mok has been away for a while. Lets hope he doesn't get captured or killed. I would wait another couple of hours before we need to decide what to do."

After Mok being gone for a while, Aphil will go looking for him, to make sure he's ok, looking around for enemies along the way.

Perception: 6

Mok after watching for a while, something does happen. You watch as the drawbridge ponderously lowers and  two humans hurry out. The kobold guards yell something at them, but don't seem alarmed; it seems they have permission to go out. After they are clear, the drawbridge starts to ponderously rise again.

The two of them hurry through the knee deep water of the ford and make their way toward the treeline. As they get closer you can see two men, one in his late teens and one that is likely in his sixties. They are carrying small axes. They look very anxious and tired.

Aphil you go to the edge of the woods in search of Mok and are having a very difficult time finding him. You hear the clanking of the drawbridge and also witness the scene above.

Mok will move to follow after the two humans since he could do little against the walled settelement by himself. He wilks tick to the heavy brush or behind tress, wanting to see what they were doing before he made a move towards them.

Mok, you watch as the two humans mover over to a patch of nearby woodland and start gathering branches, using the axes to cut ones that are too big to carry. Seems like they've been sent out to gather firewood. There is a young man with sandy colored hair who is probably in his late teens and an older more grizzled man with a grey beard.

Mok will cast Disguise Self on himself to appear as a halfling so not to scare them as he approached. "Excuse me gentleman but are you two survivors of the village that was recently attacked? We met a young boy on the road that fled from there?" He will keep his hands close to the swords on their belt if they try to attack.

Both of the men are startled as you quietly emerge from the brush, but relax slightly when they find you are not there to attack them.

"Careful small one," the older man says, "If the little dragonfolk see you they will take you prisoner." When you ask your questions he will say, "Aye, we lived. They killed all who fought back and took the rest of us as thralls. I heard that some folk escaped. Glad to hear it's true."

"Understood. How many more are inside the walls? My companions and I are around so we may be of some help." Mok offers to them as he relaxes his stance some but still keeps his hands near his weapons just in case.

The man glances back at the town and continues to pick up firewood, unsure if he's being watched and deciding not to take any chances. "Of the dragonfolk? At least two dozen of those little monsters. And there's the tall green skinned folk- five of them maybe?"

"And the giant too!" The younger man speaks up, "Armored and more then ten feet tall. I think he's the leader."

Minda is carving a piece of wood into a sharp stake while waiting Mok to return.

And then another one. The stakes are about two feet long and once she has sharpened a handful of them she sharpens the other ends a slight bit as well. She'll try sticking one into the ground and it stays upright and looks dangerous. Occasionally she gathers the resulting wood chips into a small pouch for later use and to keep the obvious signs of her activity here to a minimum.

Aphil will try looking for Mok in the area she is in

if she fails, she will return to camp and tell Minda that she couldn't fine Mok.

Mok nods as he listens to the story, quickly deciding that the group would find it nearly impossible to win such a fight with their small numbers. The kobolds were weak but could swarm themin mass and be a pain to deal with. The truly worrying information for him was the giant. "They seem to be more then just a simple raiding party... How many more have they taken captive?"

Aphil you don't see Mok, but you do see the two humans from the village talking to someone you can't see. 

"There's about thirty of of taken prisoner, but half of those are children and most of the other half are old like me. That shaman... she ordered that the elderly not me put to the sword though I can't fathom why."

"So they killed those who would fight back and kept the rest of you as captives... Of those whonaremelderly how many of younwould be able to protect the young ones? My group isnsmall sonwe would not be able to fight off so many but with help we could perhaps try to free you and the others." Mok offers as he looks towards the walled pnce more.

"I don't think they'd go as far as killing us without permission from the Shaman. If you think you can help us, they are holding us all in the big barn by the North wall."

He draws a rough map of the village in the dirt for you.

"We dhall see what we can do. I fear ky companions will be looing for me soon and I do not eish for you to be harmed for taking to long,"Mok days as he makes dure to mentslly take in every aspect of the map he can, wanting to show them.
