Mysti is going to help search through the dead gnolls, she will also help bring them to the fire and burn then since she has such a despise for gnolls. "I will gladly help with the gnoll burning. Just more filth I can rid this plane of. Tyr will rejoice tonight." she says.
OOC: I'm going to try and move things along a bit. So I'll tell you what the gnolls have on them between them all and you guys can decide who else was searching the gnolls, who wants what, if anything, and how to split it up.
Between all the gnolls you find 128 cp. They are all wearing hide armor that is pretty filthy and gross. There are 7 spears in total including the ones that stuck into the ground in the beginning of battle and 7 shields in various states of disrepair. One of the gnolls looks slightly less filthy than the others and with careful searching you find a small shiny rock tucked into it's armor.
Belialuin takes the crossbow bolt he sank into one of the gnolls and with little water control cleans it. He speaks in a casual way so that everyone listens.
"Well, Gentlemen one can almost call this a successful fight". Then he turns to Parth and a serious look says "I think I owe you an apology commander. My curiosity got the better of me, yet I am still sensing some dark arcana in that pouch and I would like to know why. However, If you do not wish to talk about it, so be it, you have more than earned my trust in the battle. Speaking of arcane, is there any place in the camp I can hone my skills or study. A library, arcane study hall, anything remotely connected to magic nearby ?"
"Likewise, I have no real need for their spears, armour or shields. I'll take whatever coin is deemed fair, and anything else can be added to Parth's armoury as far as I'm concerned. However, [Zarbof picks out the most battered shield] I might see if I can hammer this back into a more usable form."
Zarbof takes the battered shield to the workbench, attempts to hammer it out a little (even if only aesthetically), and then adds it (in whatever it's new condition may be) back to the pile.
Then, once things are cleared up out here, he heads inside to join Wormsquirt in search of a good meal.
Thorum assists in dragging the gnoll bodies to the fire and goes to Parth. “Commander, I appologize for my poor aim tonight. Had this been a more serious fight I could have endangered the group. I have spent much time in the wilderness after leaving my village and this is the first time I have been with a group in some time. I pray I have the chance to redeem myself soon.”
OOC: Do I? That's exciting! I don't think Zarbof would've heard that conversation though, over the sound of either his hammering the shield or being inside the house.
“Huh.” Roger says, rubbing his chin. “I’ll ask him about it.” Roger walks on over into the house, and holding the stone out towards the dwarf asks, “Zarbof, do you have any idea about the nature of this object?”
You actually don't need a check for this. It's a very common stone and is indeed a type of agate. You can tell it would be worth a max of 2 gp. You figure the gnoll thought it was a very great treasure as gnolls are not known for their smarts
To Belialuin he says "Yes indeed. It wouldn't be much of a school without some books. I believe you will find some books that may inspire you. I keep them locked away inside as some are very valuable. I appreciate your words and it is true the pouch holds special meaning to me." He reaches down and opens the small pouch and pulls out a lock of hair wrapped in a strip of red cloth. "'tis my sons. The cloth carries his blood. I carry it as a reminder" He holds the hair to his face for a moment and puts it back in the pouch. "Is your curiosity satisfied my young charge?"
Once the gnolls are taken care of Mysti returns to the house to get some food, drink, and some rest. Once inside and sitting at a table she asks,"So Parth, where might we be headed next? I have a feeling there is never a dull moment with you involved. I'm not complaining, I like the action, just wondering how heavily I need to pray to Tyr tonight...lol."
Wormsquint - Following your nose you head into the house in search of food. I think you would have been the first to arrive so what you see is a main L shaped room with a kitchen area in the back right and an open doorway on the left. The room is well appointed but humble with a large table and several chairs of various sizes off to the right. On the left side of the room is a sitting area with cushions scattered around a rugged floor and a few comfortable looking chairs and a couple side tables. As you are taking in the room a very portly woman carrying a pitcher of water is walking out of the kitchen area and starts shrieking...
"Parth, Parth, Help! There's a giant walking lizard in the house!" Dropping the pitcher of water she reaches for a broom from the side wall
Outside as others are starting to make their way to the house you hear the screaming.
Parth breaks out laughing "Maybe we should let the young one fend for himself against my cook eh? Hahahahe.. No, no. I don't want to scare Tilda and I'm afraid young Wormsquint may not survive." Still laughing he calls out "It's ok Tilda, he's no giant lizard, he's a Kobold, and.. well.. I guess he sort of is a, Never mind him now Tilda, He's a guest! His name is Wormsquint"
As others enter the house they see Tilda with her back to the wall, clutching a broom eyeing Wormsquint nervously.
Parth says to Mysti "Well that has yet to be decided Mysti. I do have some contracts to take care of, mostly vermin cleanup and the like, but after everyone's performance with the gnolls perhaps you'd all be interested in something more challenging? We will discuss it more inside. I fear I must take a moment to calm down Tilda or none of use will eat tonight!"
Distracted by the commotion, Zarbof completely forgets to actually answer Roger's question.
"Ah, the cook. Tilda, is it? It is truly a pleasure to meet you. Parth is right, you needn't worry about Wormsquirt. He dealt out his fair share of pain to the gnolls just now, and it seems he has an even better appreciation for good food as I do. I have a feeling the two of you will be fast friends!"
Taking a seat at a table, he says to the group, "Well fought everyone. From what we just witnessed, I feel like we could handle something a little more challenging than pest control, don't you?"

RavenloftAnnihilationRoger picks up the small shiny rock from the (relatively) clean gnoll. “Hey Parth, what’s this thingy?”
Parth looks over "Hmm, I suspect the dwarf may know more about that but it looks like some kind of agate to me"

"Hmm, let me see, Roger?"
Without taking it out of Roger's hand, Zarbof examines the stone closely.
OOC: Would that count as the dwarven Stonecunning ability? It wouldn't really be a "history check on the origin of stonework", would it?

OK, so a couple things are happening at once.
