As long as nobody else has any questions he leads you out of the room and tells his wife and councilor "Our friends will be staying in the guest quarters. Please make sure everyone knows they are not to be bothered or harassed." He leads you across the 'throne room' and walks through a wall on the other side. On his way he says to one of the guards "Fetch Romgar and have him meet us at the guests quarters."
This room is a more informal sitting room with some couches and chairs and a table set with finger foods, water and ale. There is also a rack of items and a chest. He says to the party "Help yourself if you're hungry or thirsty. I've collected some items over the years based on the writings foretelling your arrival. I hope I have chosen wisely for you all."
Ooc: sorry for the slow posting guys! I just got back to the pacific and I walked into a razing dumpster fire so I’m busier than normal! Have to get used to the time difference again.
Vail moves to sit at one of the tables and pours a mug of Ale for the entire party, inclined to force everyone to have atleast one drink.
”At the very least, we should have a toast. One must always celebrate with a drink for firsts. For me, this is the first time I’ve been told I was a part of....some sort of prophecy? Either way. Here’s to me.”
Vail extends the mug to anyone willing to have some ale.
"Have you ever known a dwarf to pass up a mug of ale?" Tordal says with a grin, taking one of the mugs depends Vale. Not to be outdone by Saada, an obvious glow begins to emanate from within Tordal's mug. With a smirk of satisfaction, the dwarf raises his mug, "To new companions"
Mordan gladly joins in the toast and drains his mug in one long draft.
(Tauriel are you intentionally going unarmored barbarian route? I'm asking because I was going to bump up your axe for the magic item but you can choose an armor bump if you'd like)
Vail nods as he takes the well crafted Long sword. While he might prefer the old nicked one he’d been carrying for quite some there was certainly something to appreciate about the finely crafted blade.
Vail puts the goggles on his head and suddenly the dark world lighys up. He can see the finest details in the corners of the room in the dim light, the words on book covers, details in the table.
”Is this how you guys see? Color me jealous...”
Vail pauses and turns to Mordan again,
”If it isn’t too much to ask, this leather armor that I’ll wearing. I purely have used it for hunting and it’s not quite equipped to be dealing with swords and arrows. Might I be able to pay your smith to fashion some chain over top?”
ooc: looking to atleast buy a chain shirt. Could use the extra AC if I’m going to be a little bit tanky for this.
(haha, and that's why I gave it to you Tordal. You don''t mention the extra HP from the con boost. You want to know how the beard works.. LOL. 1d20 every morning. 11-20 is success)
Vail: Mordan says "That's a humble request, I'm sure we can accommodate you. I'll make sure there's some chain for you in the morning"
Mordan looks to Saada "Oh yes, the command word." He says something in Duergar "That translates into .... in your tongue" (You can choose the command word to make it easy)
OOC: Simply because of the coolness factor, I'm going to use the Dragon Shouts from Skyrim as a substitute for Primordial, which happens to be the language Saada uses to cast spells.
Saada sits there for a moment, thinking to herself. "How about...Yah." She almost whispers as the world around her suddenly becomes transparent. "Whoa. This is cool..."
(ooc, I would prefer something boost my unarmored AC ngl. I made Tauriel back when I didn't know too much but hey I've been lucky all campaign; In character however....)
"WHOOAAAA!!! Is this thing really for me!? It's so shiny and pretty and somehow it feels super light yet strong!" she says in admiration at the +1 Greataxe.
She also puts on the goggles, "So I can see in the dark with these things right? Lemme test something out..." Tauriel puts a blanket over her head. The rest wouldn't see this but she would be taking them on and off underneath while staring at her hands. "THIS IS SO COOL!"
With the blanket still over her head, she grabs her new Greataxe and swings out in a random direction: 25 Damage: 14
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tauriel, swinging out wildly from her little blanket fort has a 15% chance to hit someone. (I figure it wouldn't be too high as everyone is kinda in their own space checking out their items)
Over 85 hits someone: 47
Her great axe comes flashing out of the blanket cutting a very large slash in it but missing everyone in the room. Mordan automatically taking a step back says "Easy now under there. I'm glad you enjoy your new axe but perhaps this is not the best time to test it out"

"Here, let me show you what I've collected"
(items coming soon)

Estes will get a bite to eat before checking out any gear.
(Average HP for Tauriel. Since it was the only option in this campaign, I went Berserker Barb. I really need better AC tho lol)

Estes will accept the drink
Saada takes the drink, and with a little help from Prestidigitation, she chills the drink until it's ice cold.
"To vague prophecies." She toasts, raising her mug.

(in her first post she had a great axe .Maybe she misplaced it)
“Nice trick Saada.... Tordal.”
vail pauses and pours another one. He takes. Deep breath and raises the mug slowly before knocking it back in a single tug.
”...not as imprsssive as Mordans over there ha ha” he chuckles.
Mordan after downing his mug goes the rack and starts handing out items
Estes: He hands you armor, +1 leather
Saada: ring of x-ray vision
Sinjin: scroll of protection undead
Tauriel: weapon +1 great axe
Tordal: belt of dwarvenkind
Vail: weapon +1 longsword
He also puts 2 potions on the table and says "It's up to you who these would serve best" potion of heroism , potion of growth
"Oh, I almost forgot. These are for you two who don't see so well down here." He hands goggles of night to Tauriel and Vail

"This is most generous. Thank you"
(This belt is amazing. I have a 50% chance to grow a visibly thicker beard every morning. How do I determine when my beard growth is a success?)
(haha, and that's why I gave it to you Tordal. You don''t mention the extra HP from the con boost. You want to know how the beard works.. LOL. 1d20 every morning. 11-20 is success)
