General frustration and anxiety began to overwhelm Brand. A busy entryway to a town created too many mental voices. He wanted nothing more than to lash out. It would be a simple thing: pick a voice, crush it, move on. He had done it before against seasoned reavers, so townsfolk should be like bugs by comparison. Every time the urge enticed him closer, Brand glanced at the city defenses. Guards posted with enough weapons to fell him within seconds. Sure he could kill a few before falling, but it wasn't worth the risk.
He resigned himself instead to following Cudraug, though "follow" was in a more academic sense. Pride would not allow Brand to be led like cattle.

Drak simply frowns, he was raised by wolves and the sun, why does the wolf dislike him. As he began to walk he made a promise to himself, he will find a way to get the wolf to like him, so he could pet it.
The party assumes a random marching order, with Cúdraug in the front, Brand close behind, Drak in the middle, and Primus and Jeramiah bringing up the rear. You walk for a couple hours, seeing nothing in general.
Everyone roll perception. Cúdraug has advantage, because of Faingarath in the bushes.
As you travel along the path, Cúdrag sees Faingarath emerge from the bushes, alerting him that there is danger ahead. As the group advances, Brand also becomes aware of several mental presences hidden alongside the path. Primus and Cúdrag both become visually aware of the hiding places of these creatures, though they are unknown. In the middle of the road, there is a stopped wagon, with two men attempting to pry it out of the mud. Both of them are very strange, since they are dressing in long robes with a mark on their backs that Jeramiah recognizes as the Church of the heretical Dienol Pantheon. As the group approaches, the two men frantically spin around, with shortswords drawn.
"We don't want no trouble, sirs. Just... Move along and we- we won't have to engage in an any sort of alterca-a-ation," one of them stammers at you. His sword is visibly shaking, and his voice gives off the impression that he is young. His companion's blade is steadier, and the graying beard that hangs down from inside the hood drawn over the man's eyes suggests age and experience.
"Huh. If you're so scared at a bunch of lazy lil' slobs like us, then you must be hiding something. Also, I don't want trouble, but when its there, I'll grab it." Primus gives them a scowl.

Brand steps up behind Primus, "Put down the swords. If you'd like to fight, I'll be happy to cleave your necks with your own blades and decorate my horns with your heads," He glances around and raises a shout, "and that goes for your friends, too! Come see what a bored Reaver with too much time on land can do!"

Cudraug, as soon as the wolf warns him, he says " Be careful there is an ambush upthere " and he leaves the road with the wolf and moves silently around the hidden people at the side of the road.

He readies an arrow in his bow, ready to fire and give cover to his companions.
"That's a nice wagon you have there." Drak days in a calm tone, " This is also a nice place for an ambush....Pity though. You chose to hide in trees an grass, both of witch are very easily burned." He tone then turns cold, "I wonder how well your hiding freinds would burn with it."
The older of the two finally speaks. "As my fellow said, we don't want any trouble. Move along and we'll do you no harm. Threaten us further and we'll make sure you regret it." His steely tone is directed mostly at Drak and Primus, his words almost cutting into their skin. "I speak with the authority of the Lady Safyra. Cross us, and you cross her." He gestures widely at the area around him. "Our guard is more than capable of removing you."
"Hey Drak, I think we should leave these losers be. They can rot in eternity for all I care, but we ought not to rot with them. (back to the old man) Okay, tell you what - we'll move, and you don't try anything funny. My guard - is ON."
"While I want no trouble, I assure you that this incident is a fault of your misplaced faith. And this is a warning to both you lot and Primus and Drak - you continue to attempt to incite violence, and I will have to arrest you."
Jeramiah flashes his Inquisitors badge, and then signals that the group should move on and leave the poor souls to their cart.

Brand gives a loud huff and spits at the two mens' feet, "We'll leave. But don't give us a reason to stay." Brand grins menacingly and slowly nods, "Please don't give me a reason to stay..."
As he speaks, his fingers twitch erratically. With every twitch, pieces of debris are flung across the road or into the surrounding foliage.

"I thank you all for your kindness in allowing us to pass by unmolested. It is with great honor that we bear the mark of Dienol upon out backs, but we have run into trouble with travellers in the past," the old man bows as the party passes. As he rises, he continues. "We cannot make the assumption that everyone who comes by will attack us. Nor can we assume the opposite." As Jeremiah passes, the man mutters, "I will see you again, Inquisitor. And we shall see which of us has misplaced their faith."
"We are not attacking them Brand. Last warning to all of you. No fighting. Threatening an Inquisitor can cost you dearly, and that is the only warning you'll get from me. Come along now, Black Sun mercenaries."
Jeramiah is starting to look a bit angry, particularly glaring at the people he has been stuck with on this travel.

Brand finally relents, letting his frustration fire off like a fist against a wall. A nearby sapling is slammed with a momentary psychic battery. The minotaur makes a point to pass close to the stuck pilgrims to asset his dominance.

Undeterred by the strange party they encountered, the group of adventurers moves on undisturbed for the rest of the day. As the evening approaches, they can see a village in the distance, but off-course from their planned destination. They are presented with a choice: to either make camp further down the way to their destination or to stop in the village for the night, potentially adding to their travel time.
Taking just a disgusted look to the village, Cudraug continues walking towards their destination.
" Continue the road. I will go ahead with Faingarath to find a suitable place to camp tonight "
[OCC: He just doesn't even consider the possibilty to go to the village. And how's he react to it. If anyone wants to go to it, please correct him! ;) ]
