LOL, Felicity wakes up and isn't quiet sure why she smells like Kobold :) (he took no aggressive action snuggling up)

So you all awake to the smell of fresh bacon. Shelly has prepared a good hearty meal and over breakfast Bigs has mentioned that it's a couple days ride to the next real town but there is a kind of rest stop along the way by a stream.

Keesal was up with the sun making sure the mounts were taken care of. He slept as little spoon to Herbert :)

They thank you again for the gold that was left for them and wish you well. Jordo says he can ride with you for a hour or so but will then be heading to his farm to grab some folks to help with the fixing up back here.

In general it's about as pleasant a morning as can be expected with the smell of wet burnt wood hanging over everything.

"Kleesal!" Felicity calls. "Tie this third demon's body to your horse. We might use it later."

You see that when you get on the porch all the mounts are there but Kleesal doesn't answer.

A few moments after calling for him you see another Herbert come trotting very proudly around the corner of the porch. He plops down on the porch in front of you panting, his tail wagging wildly!

Without thinking, Felicity's animal instincts take over and she roars. "WHERE'S MY STABLEBOY! *Casts Thaumaturgy and Roars*"

J’Anna comes running out sword drawn, “FELICITY WHAT IS GOING ON......I think you woke the dead!!!!!!!”

Felicity's Lightsaber springs to life and she grips it with both hands. "Kleesal is missing. I think one of the two Herbert's are Mimics or Doppelgängers and THEY ATE OUR STABLEBOY."

Halizthan walks over and pokes at the new dog with the end of his staff before shrugging and going to his own horse. "It appears that Roach has been fed. Now we just need to wait for the boy to be ready leave.

The other Herbert tucks tail and letting out a yelp jumps off the porch, landing as Kleesal."EEk! It's me, it's me. When I wa sleeping with Herbert last night I tought I could feel his, well, his spirit, and I woke up to looking just like him! Isn't that cool! I hope I can do it again!"

So everyone gets their gear together, hopefully without Felicty killing Keesal :) and you set off down the path to the northern road amidst somber goodbyes.

There is less traffic on the road and after a while Jordo bids you farewell and turns off to his farm.

Conitnuing down the road the converation dwindles away until Keesal asks "So what was that back there? I know you guys are on a special mission but... where are we going? Is there always going to be creatuures like that attacking you?"

"I'm afraid this journey may be more perilous that you signed up for Kessal." J'Anna says. "I'm sure that will not be the last encounter like that on this journey, so if your going to stay please stay aware of your surroundings and be careful, we will watch over you best we can but when the shit hits the fan anything can happen."

Before going to bed, Rend would have written another letter to Tessa and left it with Shelly in the morning, asking if she would make sure it got back to Tessa in Tessopilis.

"Look Keesal, I cannot tell ya everything because it is top secret... but here is what I think is going on. We were sent to get a thing for the beautiful and smart Tessa... and I think those guys wanted to make us believe she was bad and convince us to stop working for her so that THEY could do the mission and go back to Tessa and take all the credit and probably marry her...... it is a despicable plan really... yet very clever.." The kobold says rubbing his chin and squinting his eyes looking off into the distance.

"Look on the bright side Klee, if you happen to die on our adventure, I'll make sure you stay with the group no matter what," Felicity adds with a wink towards the boy. She also gestures to the demon corpse tied down behind Kleesal on his saddle and her Bag of Demon Corpses.

"I promise I'll be careful! I'll always do what you and The Lady tell me to do but where are we going? Oh, I get it, that's the secret part. OK. Is it far though?" 

You all continue on without any incident. As the day draws to a close you can see a few lamps and campfires up ahead.

Before we got here, Felicity will have cast Gentle Reopose on S1 and S2 who she has decided to name Leo and Tigris.

She would also have cast Gentle Repose on the one tied down to Kleesal's horse and she has asked him to name the preserved corpse himself.

Halizthan will slow Roach to a near stop when they see the fire ahead of them. His visible eye will narrow as he focus ahead of them, glad for his enhanced dark vision. While he did not like other drow much he loved being one. "We should approach with caution."

Ooc: no.. sorry but that won'twork. You're saying you pull the 2 dead fiends out of the bag, cast on them and ask them to crawl back in which is fine, but then your staying your spell would hold in an extra dimensional space. I can't allow that. Then you'd be able to cast spells on items in the bag across dimensions. You can animate them but you can't have like a jack in the box of undead in the bag.

ooc- Sure I'm okay with that. I probably should've asked didnt mean to metagame. I'll retract animating the dead bodies for now and just have cast Gentle Repose on all 3 bodies

Okie dokie Felicity.

So approaching cautiously it appears to be the 'rest area' Jordo was talking about. It consist of a worn down area on the side of the road with one lonely oil lamp beside a large heavy canvas tent that looks as if it's been there forever. You can see there's 5 other tents set up with a couple horses by one of the tents. There's a couple campfires burning and a couple folks wandering around but it looks quiet.

J'Anna just to be on the safe side will use her Divine Sense as the party approaches the camp.
