"I think its lair is probably further up the mountain based on these tracks. I think we may be able to find its lair on the way to see our cartographer friend" The kobold would say returning to his companions.
OOC: we could push on a little more then but soon we would need to set up a camp, not to mention we could use a long rest now also after that battle....lol
J'Anna calls down the hill.."Klessal..........Klessal....it all good now, bring the horses back up."
Halizthan will make his way over on the broom, hopping off of it as he goes up and draws a dagger, using it to pull free some scales and to pluck out one of the eyes. If he can he will look for something to preserve the eye in as a sort of trophy. "Find the lair. After this things attack it owes me a hefty sum of treasure."
J'Anna as well starts to pry scales off if possible, "Try to get as many scales as we can, I would think these can make fire resist and probably better armor class cloaks or even armor."
Rend would use his crowbar to pry as many scales from the beast as he could, the bigger ones the better before cutting some meat from the beast as well to keep for dinner that night. Once done he will mount up on Herbert once he makes his way back and he will prepare to head off towards the cartagrapher / lair.
Alright. I'm trying to think of how long you spend cutting this thing up. I'd think about an hour? Sounds like you're all trying to get a good number of scales and other trophies. So by the time you're done the shadows are getting long. You're starting to get higher into the mountains so the sun sets earlier. Are you still going to travel for a while? You've probably got at least an hour of indirect light.
Kleesal brings the mounts up and is chattering away about how that cool that was. Is that really a dragon? Did you see me heal Halizthan? Was that helpful? Can I take a scale too! Are we gonna see anymore! What are we going to do now, etc...
Rend would toss a scale and a tooth to Kleesal. "Lets try to get away from here as much as we can while we still have some daylight before setting up camp" The kobold would suggest.
"Sure Klessal, you can take a scale also, and yes I saw you heal Halizthan, that was awesome, can't wait to see that power grow." J'Anna says encouraging the boy to keep up with his magic studies..."I think we may want to set up a camp here for the night, most of us could use the rest and honestly I would really like to spend a little time searching for this dragon lair, and that will be better in light than dark..."
OK. We've got Felicity and Halizthan to check in about camping. Once it's decided if your camping here or moving on a bit more let me know what the watch order is.
Halizthan is visibly excited and seems to want to push forward so that they can find the dragon's possible lair and the treasure horde that would more then likely accompany it. "I could live like a noble once more!", He mutters to himself in the distinct and strange language of the drow.
Felicity will spend her time busying herself trying to cut off the Dragon's wings, folding them and putting them into her Bag. She pulls out the demon corpse and ties it to the horse to make room for her new wings. She will also attempt to cut off the Dragon's head for Speak with Dead purposes later down the line.
(Weight?)
Seeing as she is also one of the better skilled at keeping watch, Felicity volunteers to be one of the first if they decide to camp out.
Felicity will keep the demon corpse inside her bag after realizing the wings would not fit inside. She will cast Gentle Repose on the entirety of the Dragon corpse and ties the wings and head onto her broom (400 lbs carrying capacity).
"Well, I guess this will have to do...even when encumbered like this, she should still be able to keep up with our horse's trotting pace as long as it flies at full speed," Felicity says while tying all of the parts to the handle.
(ohhh. Uh yeah that's fine. I forgot dragons were like...you know, big ^_^") Edit: I forgot I didn't have that spell prepared atm, whoops I'll do that later.

OOC: what time of day is it, do we maybe want to set up camp over night and rest up? Kinda depends on time of day I think though.
ooc: It's been 7 hours of travel time. If I recall you had left mid morning after gearing up so probably around 5ish

That works, The kobold would say to J'Anna with a smile

If we decided to camp now, J'Anna is fine with whatever watch but she will need time to rest, pray, and regain her spells.
Rend will take watch when it is darkest since he has no problem seeing in the dark and is fairly uninjured

ooc: That's going to be a problem. Even though it's a young dragon it's wings are still around 5'x10' that you're trying to get into a 2'x4' space.
