(So this is a long shot, but since I was only knocked prone and not knocked away, I would still get an AOO correct? Now here is the thing... would you allow me to try to grapple / Grab on to the leg or tail of the dragon as it takes off into the air instead of the attack?)
(I could make multiple rolls if you want, like a dex save / acrobatics to be fast enough to try and an athletics to hold on. Or if you don't want me to do that it is cool. i don't think swapping an AOO for a grapple is really a normal THING anyways :D)
Ha! I like your spirit... Sure, you can try but it wont be easy DC25 (I don't think you'd get opportunity attack though, I get she moved out of melee but after being knocked prone I don't know how that would work. I'll research it more if you want to go that route instead)
(Prone does not stop you from making an AO. The condition means disadvantage on attack rolls though.)
Felicity uses the full 20 ft of movement on the Spiritual Catpaw to move it all the way to J6 and it will slash at the Dragon's Tail. Catpaw: 16 Damage: 7 Force
"RAWR!"
She knocks another arrow and fires. Longbow: 25 Damage: 11 Radiant: 4
so to roll bonus stuff like Bless, I don't really know how to format it on the Dice roller macro, so what i do is just manually put it in myself.

(I know in general prone wouldn't prevent AO, I know it doesn't matter because Rend did the impossible but it may come up again. I was wondering about The wing attack being a legendary action. Her taking off is in the description of the action... "The dragon beats its wings. Each creature within 10 feet of the dragon must succeed on a DC 22 Dexterity saving throw or take 15 (2d6 + 8) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. The dragon can then fly up to half its flying speed." I'm open to opinions on it, like I said it could happen again)
Rend: As the dragons beats her wings and starts to step off the ledge to take to the air you manage to crawl forward and just as the tail dips off the ledge Rend pushes off the ledge and manages to grab her tail and hang on as she flies off into the room.
The spiritual paw follows the dragon but is unable to land an attack. Felicity knocking her bow again does hit solidly with her arrow for another 15 dmg
(You should use your bow more often, hehe)
Felicity, just after you fire your arrow and see it hit it's mark you hear an intake of breath behind you. You barely have enough time to glance behind you as a wall of flame rushes down the tunnel at you. DC17 save for half of 57
(Added the young dragon into initiative, it goes on 10. It's stealth roll was 23. Post for roll is here. Updating map again in a minute)
(I feel like being on the back / dangling from the tail of the dragon is about the safest place to be after seeing all the flaming death happening below.. also don't one of you have a broom you could use to easily get into melee range?)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(I am going to make some assumptions here... let me know if I need to make any changes...)
As Rend is lifted up into the air, he looks back over his shoulder with a look of concern as his shield and spear lay on the ledge that is quickly falling away behind him. Gripping the ridges and scales on the tail of the dragon tightly, the kobold will glance to the ring on his finger and will mutter under his breath "Tessa guide me, I need you with me now more than ever" before attempting to climb his way up the thrashing dragon, working his way up towards the middle of her back before drawing one of his many daggers from his belt and Recklessly stabbing it down hard into where the dragons wing connects to the rest of its body, hoping to force the dragon to land.
Attack: 25 Damage: 11 Attack: 23 Damage: 10
Reckless AttackPHB48
When you make your first attack on your turn, you can decide to attack recklessly, giving you advantage on melee weapon attack rolls using STR during this turn, but attack rolls against you have advantage until your next turn.
"Did you forget me!? You cannot run from Rend ya worthless lizard with wings!" Rend would scream as he stabs at the dragon.
(ohhh, man. 1 away for concentration. Sorry, that sucks!)
Rend manages to work his way up the dragons tail and stabs at it's wing joint. Not having the weight of the spear behind him Rend finds out the dragons hide is harder to penetrate than he thought and the first strike glance off a scale. His second strike finds it's mark and sinks in for 10 dmg. The dragon stays in the air though, thrashing with it's back arching.
Felicity is taken completely off guard and even though she tries her best the damage is just too much for her to keep her concentration up and Bless falls off.
J'Anna and Halizthan. You hear a sound you've come to recognize as the roar of dragon fire and can bright red light and little spurts of flame coming out of the tunnel where Felicity is.
Rend has his hands too full trying to stay on the dragon that he doesn't see the flames in the tunnel or hear them. The sound of the dragons wings drowning out the sound.
dire wolf has average of 37hp. You can roll the HP if you want instead but yeah, it's pretty messed up.

(Yeah it also has 6 or 7 temp hp or half my sorcerer level. I am so mad it failed by 1....)

J'Anna has 54 hp left out she is at 54/118
(Hailzthan is at 49 out of 62.)
Rend has 101/137 HP

That will bring us to Rend hanging on to the Dragons tail 50' in the air and moving fast towards the tunnel high in the side wall.

Im assuming DEX because of the last one: 27
Felicity takes a hefty 57 damage from the surprise fire.
Concentration to keep up the Bless: 19
Ughhh. Bless is down. Concentration DC is half the damage I tookrounded down so 28....sorry guys :/

OOC: Just... asking for a friend... would Rend be able to fit his fist into the hole caused by the stabbing the dragon with his dagger?
