Pascal slowly rises from his chair and takes a few heavy steps toward Volo. He looms over him for a moment, shadows darkening his eyes, “Volo...” He grabs the man by the shoulder, “Volo...” And...
He pulls him into a massive bear hug, “THIS IS THE FINEST GIFT I HAVE EVER RECEIVED! You are a fine, fine friend! I always dreamed of havin’ my own restaurant an’ now you’ve given me just that! You got free food for life, my friend!”
Is... is Pascal crying!?
Pascal stops for a moment, “Course, don’t forget ‘bout Hildi’s payment of going to Candlekeep. That’s important.”

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Jorin's jaw go slack, and since this happened mid-chew, a little bit what grisly bone matter falls to the table.
"This is, this is quite a reward my friend!" he stammers, "Pascal, I will forge the finest plates, cups, forks, and knives for this new hall. We should, though, come up with a better name....Troll Slayer Hall, maybe."
Hildigrim smiles at the deed, but it's a smile that doesn't reach his eyes. When Volo replies to Pascal about Candlekeep, however, his eyes light up. "Candlekeep by summer?!" the halfling exclaims. He looks at his friends and back to Volo. Discarding the deed onto the table, Hildigrim rushes the author and clasps his arm as soon as he can get it away from Pascal. "Thank you, sir. Thank you!"
Volo holds on to the back of a chair to catch his breath after being released by Pascal. "I am so pleased that you are pleased! Oh my goodness. Yes, well, it is yours! You'll um, you'll find it in Trollskull Alley, which is North of here, East of the High Road, you'll want to follow Saerdun Street. You can't miss it! It is... unoccupied, yes, so you can just take possession! Now, I'd best get Floon off to rest." He waves his hands a lot and insists he has this taken care of, and eventually gets Floon on his feet, with the help of one of the Portal's staff.
One last chance for questions before he goes...

"Oh, he and I spoke about that last night. He said he thinks it's this old rumor that his father, you know his father is Dagult Neverember, right? Well, that his father stole hundreds of thousands of dragons while he was Open Lord, and secreted them somewhere in Waterdeep. Of course, it's just fanciful story, I am sure. Renaer says he knows nothing of anything like that, and he's been to the Open Lord and the Blackstaff about it."

(One more question?) “As the seller of the property, is there anything that the new owners should be informed of before they move in? If there is something you are holding back, better to mention it now, so we won’t feel compelled to seek you out later.”

I never did have the chance to, um, check into those stories. But the neighbors assure me there's nothing to it... or at least, not much. “Oh, I was expecting something serious, like being in a no-noise/no-partying residential zone.”

Hildigrim perks up at the mention of spirits. "Sounds like an interesting story," the halfling nods. "Oh, Floon!" Hildigrim calls. "Who was that tentacled fellow?"
When Drusk mentions the no-noise regulations, Jorin lets out a cannon blast laugh and adds, "Too right, we can deal with a legion of undead, but whiny neighbors are the worst."
Coming back with drinks and some food, Ilena raises a cup, "To your new Inn, may whatever you name it be less horrible than Trollskull Manor," she says with a smirk. "It would seem our mission led to more questions than answer. I suppose we'll want to follow up with Ranaer, or would you masters prefer to visit your new property first?"
Jorin leans back in the chair and pats his stomach, "My belly grows full, so I would like to sleep a bit before we go to our new tavern. Who knows, we may need to swing a few axes if it is full of ghosts! Renaer can wait until the morning too."
