Kat clears her throat. "Ah...I saw something when I was scouting ahead through the corridors." She shifts nervously. "There were four figures in big grey cloaks...and they were talking...and one of them said something had begun, and that the gnome was no longer a problem." She frowns. "Three left through the door, and one went through the secret passage we used to get into the library."
"Hence you needing to get your house in order, and not give a hard time to us." Caerlan mutters to himself. He smiles at Dumat afterwards although it lacks a little bit of sincerity.

"A conspiracy too," Sona exclaims before she cackles. "My...my you lot have been busy," she adds as the council laugh but some however remain silent still.
"I will take all your suggestions into consideration. Who will be proceeding," Dumat asks again eyeing the party.
Perception checks everyone.

"I intend to finish what I started Dumat." Golver would say as he fastens his cloak around his neck once more. The large dragonborn seems to deflate a bit when he puts on the cloak as some of the anger and stress leaves him.
The duergar escort the party out and to the dinning hall where dinner is being served. They leave you to tuck in with the other participants who seem none the wiser to your discoveries. Kat notices among the remaining parties which their are 2 other groups her former group isn't among them!

Sitting down at the table, Golver eats very little... taking a few bites of meat before pushing his plate away and looking at his companions. "So I would bet my scaly ass that that damn librarian Sona behind this... did you see the way she was talking to Aryalarisis after you mentioned the conspiracy" the dragonborn would say before noticing a new stain on his robe that he attempts to snap away with [spell]prestidigitation[\spell] only to growl loudly when he remembers it doesn't work. "So what do all of you think we should do since apparently following my superior dragonborn senses only leads us down the wrong paths and nearly gets us kicked out of school." Golver would slay as his eyes move down to the orb around his neck and his hand moves to his cloak as he takes it between his fingers and feels its texture, prompting it to change colors once more to kind of a faded purple, gold, and silver design.
"Nothing wrong with your senses big guy, something is up. I suspect we are getting caught up in something a lot bigger than ourselves and need to tread carefully. And yes that librarian didn't seem like the sort of person I'd buy a second-hand horse and cart from, what!" Caerlan looks around at the rest of the group "The boss seems on the level but let's be fair we don't know anyone here, I trust you all, obviously, but everybody else should be under some form of suspicion if we want to take good care of ourselves. We've played a lot of cards just now - we've told people we've seen goings on that some people will not have wanted us to see, that might mean we've attracted enemies - we need to watch each other's backs from now on. We should also try our best to carry on with these tasks, if we are allowed. Otherwise we might as well just leave!"

Necey sits at the table mostly remaining quiet while she plays with her food, occasionally taking a bite. "Yeah, I thought that too, but she didn't seem like she was lying when we were in her library," she replies to Golver. "Knowing this school is apparently run by a family explains why there may be a scheme at work here. Family is the hardest ones to trust at times. I would think someone powerful enough to run this school of magic would not be blind to this."
She turns to Caerlan and lets out a little sigh. "You're right, I think. We may have just made our next 'tests' a bit harder by revealing all that we know... I guess we will find out soon."
Kat frowns at the absence of her old group and is very quiet as she eats. "I don't like all this scheming and secrets," she says quietly. "I'm not very good at it."
"Look..." Golver would say after taking another bite of his steak sandwich "The last test we just did HAD to be harder than what they had intended... so I am sure we can handle anything they toss at us going forward." Golver would say as large chunks of food fall from his mouth on to his clothes. "Don't you worry... this dragonborn isn't going to abandon you... I intend do do whatever I can to ensure we complete these damn tests.
(OOC: I feel like we totally performed a lvl's worth of stuff right :D totally?)
As the party eats their dinner the changing in the mood of the day is noted as they're then lead back to their rooms by another bugbear that does not give his name nor does he speak even when prompted. As the party is then escorted into their dormitory the door, unlike before, is locked behind them!

"Well that is great... I guess they don't want us stumbling into anymore secret passage ways in-between tests" Golver would say as he makes his way to his bed. Once at the foot of his bed, The dragonborn would pull his clothes out of his chest and put them on before putting the robe on overtop. Once in his normal clothing, Golver would lay in his bed with his hands behind his bed. "So I think we need to sleep in shifts" he would mutter aloud in a very stern tone. "For all we know there is a secret passage into our room and we don't want to be murdered in our sleep". Golver would say coldly as he looks up at the ceiling
Kat sits on the unused bed she was on before quietly, still not saying anything. She takes out her horn and begins fiddling around with a couple of springs connected to a gear on it.
With a bit of food in her belly, Necey has a little more bounce in her step by the time the group makes it back to their room. "Yeah, there' no telling how many 'unused' hidden passages this place may have." The halfling slowly begins moving around the room, focusing her path along the interior walls. "It may be worth checking things out in here just to be sure." She runs her fingers along the walls and bricks, searching for anything that may be a lever to a secret passage.
