"I always assumed that door left open a crack at night meant - "beware burglars or similar inside proceed with caution" but clearly things are different in the halfling community.." Caerlan sneaks closer to the entrance, whilst trying not to look like he is sneaking, having a look when he catches up with Necey.

"Or its a temple and the door is left open a bit to show they are people are welcome to com on in!" Golver would say as he continues inside, opening the door and stepping into the temple. "Hello... Brother Garth?... Are you around?" He would say as he makes his way inside.
Caerlan can see a dimly lit interior if a large temple with cathedral height ceilings lined with various figures of Mystra's life. At the head of the center isle is an altar with a statue of Mystra. It's carved from a single stone of a creaming bronze color. Mystra is standing holding a lantern and a scroll. Looking around the temple looks well kept. When thw party enters and Golver calls out they hear a rustling of robes near the altar as a short man emerges from the shadows wearing silver and blue robes with a curious expression on a relatively young face.
"Yes...I'm here," the man calls out and you can only assume it's Garth.
He's pretty handsome actually. Sandy blonde hair, fair sun freckled skin, and angular features.

"Oh," Necey replies a bit surprised. "Good evening there," she adds looking around to the details if the temple. "We are looking for a friend that I think used to serve here... Dedrick Osborn."
"He's been missing for some time," Garth says looking curiously over the party. "He left rather suddenly you see..." he trails off giving a hard look at Golver. "You're not from the village," he then says frowning. "You...its probably not best you linger," he adds crossing his arms over a narrow chest.

"I would think you might want the safe return of your priest, we would very much like the same thing. Let us help you, tell us what you know if that takes us from here then all the better." Caerlan says as he enters the room, hands open and posture as non threatening as possible.

"Trust me, I don't want to stay here any longer than I need... although my friends and I have already paid for a few nights at the inn" Golver would say looking down to the robed man as he rubs his grumbling stomach. "The sooner we find Osborn, the sooner we leave... We have no problem with this town but it is obvious they aren't fans of dragonborn... It is obvious that they are jealous of my abilities." he would say as he looks down at his silver scaled hands.
"It's a human village," Garth begins giving Golver a look. "As for Brother Osbourne he left under mysterious circumstances," he replies with a frown. "I was sent here from the High temple in Coarthann to replace him," he adds looking over the party more critically. "Where did you come from again? How do you know Osbourne," he asks his expression suspicious now.

"Osbourne and I go way back... I knew him from before he found his faith... Last time I saw him I lent him something of great importance and was hoping to ask him for it back" The dragonborn would say smile. "The item was a book of great importance to myself and my family.. I am sure you have heard of the Shimmerclaw clan... My parents and I are very well known... but anyway.. Osbourne used to be a close friend of the family and now I need it back... If you happen to know where the book is I could simply collect it myself and leave him a note with my families seal otherwise.. But I would like to make sure Osbourne is safe" Golver would say as he locks eyes with the priest... his gold and silver scales shimmering in the torchlight.
Kat lets Golver handle the talking and gets distracted imagining if there were some proper hooded lanterns connected with a string in place of torches.
OOC: Just started a new job and it's utterly insane, sorry! Hoping to have a little more time tomorrow, Saturday or Sunday, but I'm not sure how things will shake out
"Yes," Brother Garth exclaims looking nervous before bowing hus head slightly to Golver. "Your family name is if course known to me good sir," the priest adds looking a little nervous now. "I am sorry you come all this way to find Osbourne gone. He is...was," the young priest looks torn, "a great scholar yes but...well he didn't leave much behind when he left," Brother Garth adds. "You can have a look in our library if you'd like. The tome with be tucked among the books he left behind. We have...quiet a few," he adds smiling leading the party from the chapel area through a short cooridor to a large room with hundreds if not thousands of books lining shelves from floor to ceiling! "Brother Osbourne is....was a curious man by all counts. He was working with a great many manuscripts before he disappeared but I've accounted all of the tomes here but for three missing but their disappearance was logged by Osbourne himself months before his disappearance," he adds looking serious.
The room is stone and light by torches. It's drafty but warmed by a crackling fire burning in the fire place by a table covered with books and maps.
"Don't mine me," he adds motion to the table. "Feel free to look around," he adds with a soft smile.

"Thank you, you have been very helpful" Golver would say as he moves past the man and begins moving through the room... "If you don't mind me asking... The three books that were missing.. What type of books were they? What kind of information did they contain?" The gold and silver scaled dragonborn would ask as the reflections of the torchlight danced across his scales and armor. Golver would then pull out his magnafying glass and begin looking around the room at the names of the books as well as looking for anything that seemed "off" that might be a clue as to where Osbourne might have gone.
"He was interested in all manner of conjuring and well...death magic. One might say before his disappearance he was headed towards trial from the order," he adds nervously shuffling papers on his own workspace table.
Once inside the party splits up.
Golver gets distracted by the sure volume of books.
Caerlan finds a few books on necormancy and alchemy but nothing really compelling.
While Kat moves towards a table she noticed Brother Garth looking at when discussing Brother Osbourne. Once there she notices many of the symbols she saw on papers in Dumat prime's lab back at the castle carved into the wooden writing desk as she looks it over. There's also several drawers but when she tries to open them they are all locked!
