Hello! I am checking if any people are interested in an adventure through the doom-iest and Gloom-iest place in the multiverse: The shadow fell. So here’s how it would start.
You are not native to this plane. You come from a different universe, a different time. This could be anything from you used to be a frog, to being a long forgotten deity. Either way, you are in a body, whether you are used to it or not. The land is showered in darkness, and you can hear the wolves howling at the moon, chasing you. As you run, you fall, and shatter your bones. Then...... you wake up. It has happened again. This dream. You step out todo something...
and the you’re there. But, this is real. You are....
in the shadowfel! (Bum bum bum!)
Here’s what I’d like if you try to sign up here. Although, I’d prefer it if you just said if you were interested or not. im not done with everything
5 players. (Not from you, but I want 5-6 players)
Races and Classes are all official ones, and C.R ones too. If artificer happens to come out while recruiting, then that too.
Abilities would be Roll, standard array, or point buy, whichever you choose. However, no going back on your rolls. If you roll 7 4’s, sucks to be you. But if you roll 6 18’s, congrats! You can’t go back on the rolls, so roll, then stick with them.
I’d like a backstory too. Put it in a spoiler please. Define the world you came from. Can be anything from you’re a long forgotten deity, to a world where everyone’s frogs. But I don’t need a 3 times best selling novel on how your hair flows in the wind, so don’t give me that.
level 1 for now.
1 thing you would like to do. Not the character, the player. Kill a god? Create a floating castle? Gain a magic item?
note:I’m a new Dm, so don’t expect some heavy lore until I build it.
I'm also curious to learn about, and play in a new realm. I have a warlock that I've been waiting to find a campaign for. Could be fun to say that the pact with the Great Old Old wasn't quite what I thought, and now here I am.
Would it be point buy/standard array for creation?
I didn’t expect this much interest! I left fir church and suddenly have a bunch of notifications? Let’s answer your questions.

Nah I meant based on the race I was using and what class I wanted to mix it with. If I want to go for a basic thing like I half orc barbarian I would use point buy but if I want to go say something that would have weaker stats like a for example a half orc monk I try to see how well I do with rolls. I play a lot of games with my irl group where it is best to have good stats since they are usually combat heavy so that tends to carry over to this. Although with those rolls I can go for something unusual... I mean if it wasn't for the minus 2 to intelligence I would make a orc wizard at some point. I wish there was an option for orcs of a smarter variety like Obould ManyArrows and his desendents for charcter making...
Are we ever sure that we exist? Do we have feelings? Or are we just NPC's designed to think highly? If so what is our purpose? Why are we here? Who are the players? Or are there Players?
I’ll either have standard array or roll so here’s my roll

Hurmur Bonespike Blood Hunter (Order of the Lycan if possible.)
Hurmur comes a parrell Toril that is far in the future where the demons and devils have broken out of the Abyss and the Nine Hells to lay seige not only on rach other and the Prime Material plane but on Mount Celestia itself. In order to survive the gods of both good and evil have put their differences aside, causing the mortal races that follow them to do the same. In order to fight back the horrors that have ravaged the world the once serctive and hidden BloodHunter orders have come to light, training all who show promise to fight back things that lesser mortals would flee from.
Hurmur was taken from a young age and trained along with children of all the races, being the one of the 3 out of every 10 recruits to to survive the harsh life of a Blood Hunter in training. Once his training was complete Hurmur was sent out to fight against the demons with other young Blood Hunters in a group of five. It was not uncommon for most just out of training to die on their first assignment, this leading to senior Blood Hunters having no repesct for the younger omes until they were able to survive at least six assignments. Surprisingly Hurmur and two of his group were able to surive their first six missions, meaning they were finally considered as possible candidates for one of the orders.
Unfortunately for Hurmur before he truly could join one the enclave where he was trained at was attacked by a Balor, a demon of great power. While they managed to fight it off for a time many Blood Hunters were killed, the young orc reciving a fatal wound. As his consciousness faded from him he heard the call of a strangely alien female voice calling him towards her as if he had something she wanted from him. Before desth could claim him though he instead found himself waking up in a strange place with the gaping wound he had received being nothing more then a scar that looked as if he had received it years ago.
One thing I would like to do isreach a high enough level to see what a BloodHunter can do since I have never managed to get past level 2 with this class ina campaign.
Here's my backstory for Krwa Mitto, deep gnome rogue from a nameless pocket dimension:
Krwa's people were enslaved by a black dragon many generations ago, so long that their history is lost in time. The dragon, called Master, kept her people to steal for its hoard. The gnomes were known for their expertise as burglars and thieves. After being enslaved, each gnome lived or died at the dragon's pleasure. Their worth was measured by the treasures they can steal. The only thing the elders have told of their past is that they were from a place deep in the earth, as dark and terrifying as the dragon's lair. She grew up knowing that there was really no ancestral land to return to. But neither did she wish to remain a slave. So after her protector Ywal died, she escaped.
The land where the black dragon dwell lay hidden between planes, a kind of pocket dimension of death and decay. Aimless, she wandered far. Eventually she stumbled upon the black colourless world of the Shadowfell...
Im playing Dreshckles Stestelkanam a Brass Dragonborn Barbarian from a world where the gods were angry.
Put your spoiler here.
Dresh is from a world only dubbed Imberiacnum where most of the different tribes lived in relative peace. The Dragonborn All worshiped the same five gods, Shacklomka, the fire dragon god, Elackamuhan, the dragon lightning god, Bretapoledeg, the dragon cold god, Inestraudim, the dragon asid god, and Tocoklogosokja, the dragon poison god. After the green dragon born died out Tocologosokia declared war on Shacklomka And Elackamuhan resulting in a civil war where Dresh fought valiantly for Shacklomka to the point where the other gods were almost defeated, Then he woke up I need the shadowfel
All Dresh can remember is the fighting, and due to whatever happened, his mind broke making him forget about his wife Reficanoplom and his son Drecklomocican. The only person he vaguely remembers is his comrad Elishogotum who, unbeknownst to him was transported to the same plain as him, just far away. All he has is a Greataxe, and a hunger for blood.
A thing I wanna do is to eventually multi class into a paladin once I’m at a decent barbarian level.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ability scores: 13810161411.
Rolling stats, character incoming.... did I just roll a standard array? Does that count for a reroll? I’m fine playing it, but I wanted to roll to be something different than standard. I don’t mind having low scores.

Haven’t used this account in forever. Still a big fan of crawling claws.
It sounds interesting. Are there limits on race or class and how will we be determining ability scores?

interest piqued
I briefly did a small but very memorable one shot in the Shadowfell recently so I am very interested as well!
Totally interested in this. For sure would be in.
I'm also curious to learn about, and play in a new realm. I have a warlock that I've been waiting to find a campaign for. Could be fun to say that the pact with the Great Old Old wasn't quite what I thought, and now here I am.
Would it be point buy/standard array for creation?

I will either go with point buy or roll depending on what I think will work best. At the moment I am still trying to pick a character to use.
