Kora, back at camp...

Kash, Kora, Perci, LT:

The rest of the party returns, looking a bit shaken but no worse for the wear. 

"Dot, a word, please?" Sarge says and LT follows him off to the horses as they have a conversation out of earshot.

((OOG welcome back together, what is everyone doing for the evening? )) 

Kash is waiting for Kora to turn in to a wererat

"I had a friends uncle's brother get bit by a rat once, next full moon - one second he was a minotaur and then  BOOM.....wererat....had to put the poor bastard down."

Percival shrugs. "Let us know if you start growing whiskers or a little rat tail so that we can tie you to a tree before you go full wererat, Kora. You're a friend, and I'd rather not have to put you down like Kash's friend's uncle's brother." He jokes.

Sylrie takes a seat next to Kora, and leaning in slightly he says, "Why are they joking about you turning into a wererat?"

"Who said I was joking? she was bit....by a rat.....that was.....um.....weird...." and he makes the sign of the Horned Prince in an attempt to ward off any evil "Her and the LT....." and he gestures off towards Sarge and the LT "can one of you like remove curse or cure disease or unwererat?"

"They were huge....a t least the size of Maple Stirrup....if not bigger....we are lucky to be alive.  What took you guys so long?  Did you get her remains?"

Johnothon sighs. No, sadly. They were missing, and there were bird tracks in the area. Now, what‘s this you say about a disease? Is someone diseased? Johnothon waves his Totem around, taking 10 minutes to cast Detect Poison and Disease. This should tell us if someone is diseased or not. I believe I can help with this. What can you tell me about these rats?

Kora snorts. "Here," she points to one of the dead bodies, piled off to the side (and downwind). "Just rats, with some sort of froth. LT got bit, and I got a little scratch." In fact, she looks perfectly healthy, and the long scratch on her leg is (at the moment) healing nicely. "Very funny, Kash. At least if I turn into a wererat you'll have someone who will finally appreciate your cheese fetish."

OOC > She took some damage, failed a Con Save, then healed herself with Second Wind. So she's fine. For now.

After ten (10) minutes John realizes that Kora is diseased. 

A bit of froth? Well that almost certainly means they carried diseases. And, you’re definitely diseased Kora. I can sense it. Give me some time and rest, and I can cure it, but for now, you might just have to tough it out. John looks to the rest of the party. Unless any of you have a way to get rid of diseases?

“I’ll be fine,” Kora insists. “But check on LT, she got bit, too.”

Sylrie looked concerned for Kora and the LT, they'd lost one to a random encounter today, now some rats were going to take down two more. Were they really cut out for this, were they ready? They were Aundarian soldiers, they had to be ready, for the Queen, for Aundair. It didn't mean it was going to be easy though. 

"I don't have access to that kind of magic" Sylrie said with a bit of sorrow in his voice.

That’s.. to be expected. I don’t detect any signs of Disease in LT currently, only you, Kora. John looks at Sylrie. Don’t worry. They’ll be fine tomorrow, when I have had enough time to find a spell to solve it.

 When LT gets closer to you and within range of your detection, you can tell she too is definitely diseased. 

She'll walk next to the fire and address all of you.

"Sarge told me what was found, or what wasn't. That doesn't change our mission." She says with a look of fierce determination on her face that is covered in a slick sheen of sweat, "That does not mean we will not deviate a bit to find her. Isuzu's name now graces the monument, etched for all time to the soldiers that have come before and will come after. She dared, as we all do right now. The glass shatters, but can still cut. We are cut, and ready to pierce the flesh of the evil that took one of ours. Keep your wits about, your senses sharp. We got this because we dare. We all need some rest. Sunrise we set out, we stick together. No more charging forward, no more going into a situation blindly."

Percival seethes when he hears that Isuzu's body was nowhere to be found, but he said nothing and listened to the LT while she spoke. "Yes, ma'am." He replied once she had finished up and got himself ready to rest before heading out tomorrow.

Sylrie stood as the LT advised they'd be bunking down, "I'll set up the alarm..." his voice was obviously laden with his emotions, this day had dampened his spirit, he began walking around the camp in a 20ft cube, murmuring arcane words and using a tiny bell and some string to draw arcane symbols in the air.

Kash sets his bedroll up next to Kora to keep an eye on her and settles down for the night.
