Ira will walk over to the two Kenku that Gaz tied up, tightening the rope and looking over to Aegis and waving him over, taking up a position where she can keep an eye on the Kenku while talking to Aegis. She tries to mouth words to him, "Bring him with you."
The man gets to his feet, “Lady Ira? I don’t believe I know that name.” He steps forward, looking through the door at those of you who are present and the tied up Kenku. His voice is cultured and he has an air of nobility despite the grimy clothing and terrible fish smell wafting off of him. His shoulder length red hair is rather tangled and dirty.
His gaze finally settles on Ira, “I suppose I have you all to thank- though I don’t know if rescuing me was your intention in coming here.” He will give a bow with a bit of a flourish, “Renaer Neverember at your service. I would shake hands but…”He gestures with a bit of disgust at the state he’s in.
He will catch sight of the bodies and begin to look at them - anxiously at first and then relieved. “Good. He’s not here. I don’t suppose you’ve found Master Floon yet?”
Ira points at Aegis, points at the Kenku, and mouths the words "Watch them." before showing Renaer Neverember closer to the door and away from the gore. Assuming that the lord follows her she waits outside, closing the door behind them as she turns to Lord Neverember.
"Lady Ira Majarra, at your service Lord Neverember." she curtsies, not missing a beat. "The reason I called you out here is that I believe those birds can copy people's voices, and I have no intention of giving one of them my voice to copy." She looks at him expectantly.
He will follow Ira outside and listen to her introduction. "I see, that is quite prudent of you,"He will return your expectant look for a moment before continuing. "I must say, I am immeasurably grateful for your presence, though I am very curious how you and your companions came to be here. Might I know your purpose in coming here?"
He will smile a bit roguishly, "I assume I'm not being kidnapped again?"

Ira gives the man a smile, "It appears that Mr. Floon has friends in all the right places." she begins, keeping a close eye on Lord Neverembers facial features to detect emotions that may flash across his visage as she speaks [Insight: 7]. "We were approached by a certain individual, who wishes to remain anonymous, to look into Mr. Floon's disappearance. During this independent investigation we happened across your name, it having been uttered in theSkewered Dragon and all." She brushes off some dirt from her attire. "You wouldn't happen to know why a son of Dagult Neverember was skulking around such a neighbourhood? It would appear such places might be ... let's say below him. I certainly felt uncomfortable there."
Ranaer will laugh a little when you mention the Skewered Dragon being beneath him. You're having trouble reading his emotions at the moment
"I like to make friends with all kinds of people- can't do that if you never leave the Sea Ward." He looks at you with intense seriousness for what he says next. "If you are indeed looking for Floon, I will go with you and do everything I can to be of help. I'm afraid it's my fault he's in this mess."
"He'd had a lot to drink that night and I was walking him home when the two of us were jumped by Zhentarim and brought here. The Zhents kept questioning me." He gives you a bit of an intense look, and something he sees must make him decide to trust you. "They think my father embezzled a large sum of money while he was Open Lord and then hid it somewhere here in the city. They kept asking me about something called The Stone of Golorr."
"But the Zhents need better information, or they'd know that my father and I... do not get along. I haven't spoken to the man in years."
"While Floon and I were locked in that closet I managed to get the ropes tying me undone. When those other men came and started killing the Zhentarim I hid myself. I thought they would leave Floon be, but we look alike and they thought he was me and took him. I thought when they left I could follow them or run for the guard, but they left men behind and I couldn't take them on my own."

Ira seems to ponder the mans words, "So let me get this straight, 1) How is it your fault you got into this mess? Did you know about the Zhentarim in advance? 2) How large of a sum? 3) Strenuous relationship with your father? Wouldn't be the first time. 4) By ... "men" you mean those bird people? 5) What would you be adding to our little entourage? Not to do you any disservice, I just get nervous working with people I do not know, including some of my current companions." Finally taking a little pause she waits for him to respond, looking for any indicators he would be lying to her. She's also making quite sure that no one is listening in on them.
History Check: You think about it, but the Stone of Golorr doesn't sound like anything you've read about before. Even the etymology of the word golorr is unknown to you.
Ranaer's eyes will get a little wide at your rapid fire questioning before saying, "Wow that... was a lot. Erm, no I didn't know about them, but Floon is a friend of mine and he's in danger because of me. They were after me and the only reason he is in danger now is because he was with me. I have a responsibility to find him and make sure no harm comes to him." He ticks off the answers to your questions on his fingers.
"They didn't specify the amount; yes, though the subject is not worth my breath at the moment; I suppose so; and I am quite skilled with a blade. I will not be a burden to you."
As far as you can tell he is being honest. His worry for Floon and dislike of his father both seem very genuine. The way he holds himself you can see that there is a strength and grace to him that comes from frequent practice with weapons.
Satisfied that he can take care of four tied-up kenku, two of which are unconscious, Standobras will look at Aegis and say;''Aegis, please rejoin my sister, the prospect of her being alone with an individual that has yet to gain my trust while there are dead bodies from two criminal factions laying about does not sit well with me. Also, once you’re with her again, I would appreciate it if the two of you could fetch the City Watch while I guard these criminals.'' Immediately after this, Standobras will address Gaz and Game; ''I leave it up to you if you wish to remain seen, or even in the area for that matter, when the City Watch arrives. If you would prefer not being associated with them, I will understand. On the other hand, if you would like to stick around and talk to them, this could be the start of a change in your life and I will gladly vouch for you. Ultimately the decision is yours and yours alone. Know that I will respect whichever decision you take and that you have performed a great service for our beloved city this day.''
"Yeah, about that, it'll be probably bad for both of us to be around if the guard comes but before we leave could I get your honest opinion? Do you really think those 4 Kenku there killed 12 people, specially considering how easily we took them out and that the Zentharim are no slouches themselves?"
''Most likely not, but seeing as the man we seek is not here but the individual he was last seen with is, I would surmise that there were more than these four criminals involved in the initial assault and that they may well have been left behind to gather up whatever they could find that might be of value. Hence, we should now seek to track down these criminals but, before we can do that, we must inform the City Watch of these events so that they can perform their assigned duties. The longer we delay in fetching them, the longer head start our quarry will get.’’
Game would be rubbing his cleaned off bar against the side of his face while his purr motor going as he looks about the room. Having sufficiently looted the bodies, the rooms and more. She would begin to shove the loot into the secret room before speaking up.
“Ee vould suggest each of us takes thrrree barrrs, Gaz n ee kan head out vith picturrres. Ee kan vorrrk at getting rrrid of zem while you deal vith guarrrds. Zen, ve kan get rrrid of barrrs when you’rrre done. Zen ve kan easily karrry barrrs to vell.. somewherrre ee kan get rrrid of zem and paintings if needed. Oh also…”He would hand strangely prestine sheet of paper to Strand.“Somethings off about zis, ee know some magikal stuff. But, ee figurrred jurrr sister vould know better…”
With that, if agreed upon, Game would work three silver bars to each member of the five-man group, and then with that would take a picture or two. Hoping Gaz would grab another one. Before sneaking out into the back alleys to find someone less… reputable to sell them to.
Ira looks the man over, nods once and says, "Very well, a temporary alliance. But as far as the world is concerned, I was not here, and we did not meet." she finishes, opening the door for the man. If Aegis is coming towards her, she will wait for him to reach her before closing the door, and mentioning, "I like my current position, I don't like to be the center of attention, rumour, talks etc. I think we should alert the guard, but I need everyone to know that as far as I am concerned, I was not here with you."
Ranaer will follow you inside and nod, "Very well. If that is your desire then your name will not be brought up by me." The door is hanging on only one hinge since Standobras broke it down, but you close it best you can. Ranaer will go to one of the weapon crates and arm himself with a rapier and dagger.
You each take three of the silver bars and tuck them in your packs. You are deciding what to do about the paintings when there's the sound of many booted feet coming down the street and you here someone call, "The reported disturbance came from the warehouse down that way Sir."
Sounds like the Watch are on their way, if there's anything you want to do before they arrive you need to do it now. The paintings are not small and if you sneak them out the back window- checks to climb down and be sneaky are going to be made with disadvantage.

Aegis and Standobras are standing guard over the tied up Kenku when the guard enters. A man with the uniform of a Watch Captain enters with a dozen other watchmen on his heels. "Alright everyone, stay where you are." He will quickly take in the scene, with a deep frown on his face. He will gesture to a few guards, "You four check outside." His eyes land on Ranaer and he looks surprised, "Lord Neverember?"
Ranaer, now completely enveloped in the attitude of a noble of Waterdeep, says, "Captain Staget. I am glad you've arrived. I was being held captive- until these folk here came to my rescue."
Captain Staget's frown increases when he sees the pile of corpses. "I'm going to need an explanation for what happened here."
Meanwhile Outside...
Ira and Game quickly duck out of sight, avoiding the watch who encircle the building. Gaz on the other hand is not so lucky. Two guards spot you and call, "You! Goblin! Halt in the name of the watch!"
