Swallowing the last mouthful of food, he shoved into his mouth, Game would look around at all the people lined up to watch the fighting on the floor before. He was not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, and immediately began to peer around to ascertain easy… pickings. Perhaps some tips left on a table, a bag left behind perchance, or maybe a money pouch somewhere?
Perception: 6
When he did spot a easy mark, he would get down and crouch behind the table and began to move towards his target, his ears back in radar mode to make sure he wasn't spotted while he moved like well... a cat.
Indeed it does, this is reflected in the spoilers tab.

Aegis' attack barely misses, the fire hitting the lip of the stone well and sputtering out.
Durnan brings his sword around for another attack.
Greatsword attack: 14 dealing 13 points of damage. The beast is barely clinging to life.
Durnan grabs an oil lamp from a nearby table and smashes it into the trolls face, setting the creature on fire. It flails wildly for a few moments before falling over sideways and onto the ground. Durnan pauses, pressing a bar towel to the wound on his neck. He'll turn to Standobras and say, "Well done." He'll then look up an the balcony where the rest of you are and jerk his chin in acknowledgement.
Inclining her head to Durnan, Ira calmly walks back to her table, putting the short sword back on the bench she took it from. She then proceeds to pick up her book and continues where she left off earlier that evening, leaving her notes all over the table, just like her inkwell and pen.
Aegis’ arm inverts again, returning to its normal state, and they ensure their digits functions properly before turning back to the table.
”Ma’am, should I take -“ he pauses briefly looking from Gaz to Game of Chance, “these new recruits down and do any of the following: conversing with the ruckus creating humans, investigating why they did so with Yagra, or speaking with Durnan about why this troll decided to breach the threshold?”
Aegis rescans Gaz and Game, and then looks to Ira patiently.
Gaz absolutely spots the bit of fish on the floor.
Downstairs things are a bit chaotic. Some people stand around the dead troll body pointing, others slowly coming out from where they took cover behind tables. A group of workers gather around to heave the Troll carcas down into the pit from whence it came.
Upstairs as you return to your food and books, a figure approaches your table; a human man with a gray beard and mustache wearing a large floppy hat and a long scarf. "My goodness! That was impressive! Most impressive! Such bravery! Such strength!" He smiles affably, "You seem like very capable folk. I don't suppose I could enlist your aid in a little endeavor? I must admit I am in need of some help." He searches your faces hopefully, "I'd provide compensation, of course, if you agree."

At Durnan's compliment, Standobras' face lights up with a thankful smile followed by a head nod. Looking at events around him, he then takes a deep breath and sets about seeing if anybody requires immediate assistance (i.e. is somebody in dire need of Lay on Hands?). If no one requires such, he'll give a hand to the workers heaving the troll into the well. Once that is all taken care off, he'll do a quick visual scan of the area where his companions were seated when last he saw them to see if all is well and, if it is, he'll go back chatting up Jalester. If he can't assert if they're doing well from where he is then he'll head back upstairs, apologizing to Jalester for his quick departure.
Standobras - Thanks to the quick action of you and your companions, no one was hurt aside from Durnan and yourself. Looking up at the third floor balcony, everyone seems fine, but there is a human you don't recognize talking to them.

At seeing an unknown person talking to his companions Standobras will slightly raise an eyebrown but, quickly realizing that it could well just be an individual that is curious about the peculiar entourage, he will still sit down with Jalester, knowing full well that should his sister wish him to join them she'll ask Aegis to ''fetch'' him.
Looking over the strange new individual she's trying to ascertain what kind of man he is, respectable or not, honest or not [[Insight: 23]] and [[Perception: 8]]. She then looks at Aegis, "Yes, you do that, and while you do that, could you send Standobras up when his business down there is concluded? I will be conversing with this fine gentleman here."
She then looks over the man again. "If you are looking to pay us for our services, it would help to know what those services would entail. Furthermore, I, at least personally, would need to grab some things depending on the kind of venture. Also, I should inform you that I have no intention of breaking any of these cities fine laws."
"Break the law? Oh no no, nothing like that my lady." He adjusts his clothing slightly looking a bit wide eyed, "Oh how rude of me, I have not introduced myself." He will tip his hat slightly, "Volothamp Geddarm, chronicler, wizard, and author at your service."
"I am looking for your aid because I seem to have misplaced a friend of mine and, with all the violence in the streets these days, I have grown quite concerned. It has been a few days since I saw him last and... well he has more beauty than brains I'm afraid. I worry that he may have been abducted... or worse."
"If you agree to track him down with as much haste as possible, I can offer you ten dragons each right now and ten times that when you find Floon and bring him here. May I prevail upon you in my hour of need?"
Ira's Insight Check
The man seems honest and genuine. His friendly nature doesn't seem 'put on'. He also seems very worried and a little desperate.
You also think he might be exaggerating a little on how much he can pay.

“Very well, ma’am,” states Aegis as they turn to the other two, “Come with me, please. We are going to the main floor.”
Aegis looks at Gaz, “We will ask Yagra what started her fight and then inquire with Durnan about the troll. Hopefully we will return with useful information. Stay together, please.”
Aegis immediately does an about face and heads for the first set of stairs downward.

Ira’s jaw seems to drop, as she remains starstruck for a solid second or two before composing herself again… Almost. “Surely you jest? THE Volothamp Geddarm?” she asks excitedly, losing her the air of cool she had cultivated for so long. She just stares drinking in every inch of this man the same way one would look at an idol or a beautiful effigy of a deity.
“I’m… I’m a huge fan. Some think you’re a bit odd, but your insights are fascinating! I would be honoured to help!” she says, eyes sparkling as she begins sketching. [Performance check for an ink sketch 16] “Tell me everything!”
Volo's chest puffs up a little at your praise. "Oh! Well it's always wonderful to meet a fan, I must say!"
He'll seat himself at the table and continue. "My companion who has gone missing is a fellow by the name of Floon Blagmaar. He's a handsome chap, human, early thirties, wavy red hair, and well dressed. The last time I saw him was two nights ago at the Skewered Dragon. It's a tavern down in the Dock Ward. We drank and made merry for a time, I got tired and went home and..." He gestures a bit helplessly. "He never made it back to his rooms. Hopefully you can pick up his trail at the Tavern and discover what's happened."

Game looks to see if he can spot something to snag and... ooooh... finds a small chunk of breaded fish on the floor that fell off Gaz's plate.
The Stirges that were attached to the Troll, now full of blood, detach and fly lazily back down the well into Undermountain.
The Stirge facing off with Standobras lunges forward, hoping for a meal.
Proboscis attack vs Standobras: 14 which looks like it's going to hit for 5 piercing damage.
We finally come to the bottom of the initiative order as Jalester Silvermane swings his sword at the Stirge that's latched onto Standobras.
Longsword attacks: 22 6
The final Stirge is cut in half, both parts flopping to the ground.
That brings us back up to Aegis. The Troll is the only foe left and it is still lit up from Guiding Bolt.
