Slinging her shield across her back, Phaedra walks out of the house to greet the guard.
"Yes Sir Barninus, I am happy you have arrived. Though I have noted that you did not take me up on my offer of prayer and come visit me at the temple."
The cleric waves back at the mansion. "It is a bloodbath in there, the Villa was assaulted by Zhents under the command of Manshoon. I believe it was lucky that we came by when we did."

Kestrell turns to the group. "Let's go." and makes his way downstairs.
"Ohh but we saved there children from being murdered..."
As they descended the stairs Selinae filled in the others with what Lord Gralhund had said about his and his wifes involvement in the murders, she was very strongly of the opinion that they were not fit parents.
Silver just sighs and looks at Elon "Did you find it on him - we could use it as proof. If not then it might make us look bad. We really just need that woman to come through."
Silver just looks at the group of men "If you ask the lady of the house, she will tell you that she hired us to rescue her three children and herself from these attackers. We were also able to save her husband from being killed by a man named Urstul."

"You know how bards are, Renaer. Always finding ourselves overdressed for the occassion."
Vassa walks out listening carefullly to everything that his companions are reporting. When he's standing before Barnibus, Raener and the Watch, he stands confidently with his head raised, back straight and chest out, smiling as he confirns and expands on what Phaedra and Silver have said,
"It's exactly like Phae and Silver just told you, Mr. Blastwind. We did indeed just save three children from a gruesome fate, to say nothing of their parents and any number of other household guards. Tragically, we were a little late to save the lives of many of the Gralhund servants. You'll find their bodies within, along with those of the Zhent assassins that we were forced to slay. One of those is... was a nasty, badly scarred chap, Urstul by name, who might be known to the Watch and should fit the description of a man fleeing the scene of the recent explosion.
You would think the Gralhunds would be more appreciative, all things considered... but then I suppose that they'd frown on anything that shines a light on their own complicity in this sordid affair. But seeing as you've arrived here with Renaer, I'm sure that you've already heard some of those particular details?"

Elon allows those with better words to do the talking as the evenings events start to sink in. As they walk up to the Watch, Elon stops and looks back at the manor. They just killed a lot of fellow Zhents. People he had worked with and talked to. What will come of him now. He will need to talk to Davil as soon as possible, if they get away from the Watch.

OOC: Bason is completely confused as to what's going on. He still thinks that the Gralhund family is innocent in all this.

Selinae puts a hand on Basons shoulder and explains again what Lord Gralhund had said.
The party leaves the master bedroom and heads downstairs, talking amongst themselves. As they come off the staircase they find a row of officers standing in such a way to prevent them from going anywhere except the door. As you all get outside Barnibus assigns an officer to each of you and has you split up. He slowly comes around to each of you and asks the following questions:
For what purpose did you come to Gralhund Villa?
Did you intend on killing the family?
Did you kill or intend to kill any of the house guard or staff?
OOC: Please feel free to role play how your character would respond to Barnibus asking these questions.
For what purpose did you come to Gralhund Villa? " To investigate the Zhentarim we saw here, suspecting they were linked to the Zhentarim at the explosion."
Did you intend on killing the family? " Absolutely Not."
Did you kill or intend to kill any of the house guard or staff? " Absolutely Not."
For what purpose did you come to Gralhund Villa? " We knew the Zhents were going to get from the family something important to Mansoon. I know this cause I am a Zhent, maybe not anymore. Inside you will find Urstul the assassin who was behind the explosion. With the help of the nimblewright, he used this to cause the explosion." Elon takes out the necklace and hands it over to him
Did you intend on kill the family? "We needed to stop them at all cost. Helping the family came into play once we arrived."
Did you kill or intend to kill any of the house guard or staff? " No way. Ask the guards that were stationed at the bedroom door. Kestrell and I helped to hold off the attack so the family could get away."
"Ohh Barnibus, I am so happy that you are hear to clear this mess up. It is so upsetting, all those people killed" Phaedra's face contorts with genuine sadness.
"Ohh it is horrible and in Waterdeep. It is something that I would have expected from Baldur's Gate, it has such a bad reputation compared to here but then I will not lie to you Barnibus. I came to Waterdeep because of the trouble I was told the city was in. Our Lady of Mysteries spoke to me and she said Phaedra, there are good people here that you can help... and and I, I have failed these people Barnibus."
The upset cleric leans into the magistrate, hugging him as golden tears run down her cheeks and her eyes begin to change colour, the flecks of gold leaking out to cover her eyes pupil.
"And it all started near our home as well. With that explosion. We had just heared that a rouge Zhentarim agent could have been responsible for the death and he had been spotted here. So we came to investigate. I don't even know the Gralhund family apart from the general gossip you hear about them... you know all that stuff about there breeding."
Standing tall once again, Phaedra reaches into her armour and pulls out her holy symbol that she wears around her neck. Holding it tight Phaedra continues her story.
"When we arrived you could tell something was wrong. We where attacked without hesitation and then we noticed all of the dead house guards and staff. Zhentarim where attacking the house guard and trying to get to the Gralhund's and there children. The lady of the house even employed us to save her kids, which is what we did. And myself and friends, well we held the guards. They will tell you that I do not lie. It is not in my nature Barnibus. My mother is a holy paladin after all."
"I believe the man they call Usrtal in there. He is the one that was responsible for the attack near Trollskull Manor. He is, was, one very nasty individual. Waterdeep is a better place without that kind of villan."
Kestrell tries to walk right up to Barnibus "Barney! Hey Barney!"But I'm assuming he is stopped by another officer.
When Barnibus comes back to him, Kestrell smiles "We meet again, Officer Windowblaster! So what brings you to these parts?"
When Barnibus starts with the questions Kestrell responds: "We came here to help! I tried to find you at your office, but they wouldn't let me up to see you. Anyway, we found out what was going down here and had no time to spare, so we sent someone to go get the Watch and then rushed over here to find the nimbwits that blasted up our street before they could do any more damage."
"Well, by the time we got here, things had already gone ah-rye, as they say. We heard fighting so we jumped the fence and rushed in to find the whole place under attack including the women and children! Elon and I, along with the house guard, but mostly the two of us, held the invaders off long enough for the kids to escape. It was really something. I haven't shot that many arrows since the goblin uprising back in '93."
"Anyway, no, we didn't kill or intend to kill any of the family or house staff."
At Selinae's explanation, he becomes very upset about being tricked. He slaps himself on the face. "No time to get upset now, lets head down."
For what purpose did you come to Gralhund Villa? "We got word that the one of them Zhent's that was seen limping away from the blast the other day came here. We sent you word then came over here to investigate. We heard fighting inside and decided to go in and help."
Did you intend on killing the family? "What! No! I helped the family and the little wee ones get to safety! Are the wee one's safe?"
Did you kill or intend to kill any of the house guard or staff? "I didn't come here intending to kill anyone! Just trying to find out who killed all those people in front of our establishment!"
Slinging her shield across her back, Phaedra walks out of the house to greet the guard.
"Yes Sir Barninus, I am happy you have arrived. Though I have noted that you did not take me up on my offer of prayer and come visit me at the temple."
