"Nim really is an amazing construct Valetta, by the grace of Mystra and Gond."
Phaedra flashes a sign of Mystra.
"And to actually have feelings and be able to teach itself to talk. Why I have meet many grown adults that don't have a real grasp on common, let along teach themselves another language."
"But I must say, we really do need to know the full extent of what happened. We have already seen the guards disregard for the rights of Nimblewrights and as such I do not see why we need to link any accusations back to the Temple of Gond for you all had no hand I what happened. If anything the real lessons here is that Nim is more than what he may seem and needs to be treated us such. Also Nim you need to realise that you are not a God and should not create more of your kind because you are more indicate and impressive than a mear construct."
"If the Nimblewright needs a new purpose, we could always give it one. At Trollskull Manor we already have a ghost as a barkeep, we could always use someone who could actually pour drinks and take orders. As long as it understands that only my friends and I give it instructions."
As Phaedra speaks Nim seems to stand up straighter, until she mentions that he's not a god and should not replicate. After Phae finishes speaking Nim steps forward, "So you believe that reproduction is restricted to the gods? Do you consider it blasphemy that your mother gave birth to you? Nim is.... no, I am alive. And I am tired of being locked in a room, away from everyone. I am tired of being treated as a thing. You speak of giving my creation a new purpose in life. Would you offer the same for me? Allow me to work and to learn and to meet others?"
Kestrell wincing from Selinae's slap, shouts to get everyone's attention. "Hey!" Once they are looking at him he says "I think you talk too much, Nimwit, and I don't care what you are tired of. We'll be doing the question asking here. Shut the hell up and answer our questions. Find out what the other thing had to say about Lady Greyhound, The Rock, and the Fairy Castle."
Elon listens to the bickering that goes on between everyone as his temper boils.
how dare this Thing call itself alive with no guilt or remorse for those who have died directly or in the after math of it's creation. It is a machine of pride.
"this creation should be destroyed. If any of us were to spill innocent blood as it did then we would deserve no less then death. As for its creator, you are an abomination. A demon possessing a shell.
Phaedra shrugs and gives one of those "well that escalated fast" faces that your mother gave you when you yelled at your sibling.
"I do not often agree with Elon but he is right. If any of us did what your creation did Nim, we would be executed for murder. And the reason I didn't offer yourself a position is I would have to discuss that with my colleagues first as you are more than just an automation."
"And Nim, my mother was not a god but she was a part of my creation. The difference between you and her is that she took on the role as a parent. She raised me, told me the difference between right and wrong, help mold me into the person I am now. You may have been a creator but you abandoned your creation and that allowed it to be used by evil for evil."

Valetta composes herself before addressing the group, "It seems many of us are letting our emotions cloud our judgement this evening. It's getting late. I'm sure everyone is tired."
Looking to Nim she continues, "Nim, I'm sorry you feel this way. However, the entire time you've lived here you have never expressed anything except curiosity to me. If you would be so kind as to return to your room for tonight and tomorrow we will sit with the high priests and hear your complaints and work with you to find a reasonable solution."
Nim stands there for a moment looking to Valetta before nodding his head. "Yes, I would like that."
Turning to Kestrell it says in a firm, flat voice, "No, I do not think I will answer any more of your questions."
Looking to Elon "You are rude to me, and claim I have no guilt or remorse. Did I not offer to help find my creation? Even though I knew your orders were to destroy my creation did I not willingly provide you a tool to track it down?"
Looking at Phaedra, "My creation escaped my prison. Due to the magic wards here I was unable to follow. I was unable to raise him as your mother did you. Did I make mistakes, yes. But I did not abandon my creation. Had I been free to leave this place I would have been able to follow and retrieve it and continue to teach it."
Stepping back and looking over the party as a whole, Nim says "Just because you are upset does not give you the right to judge me or to be disrespectful to me. I withdraw my request to go with you. You would have probably treated me no better than a slave anyway. Go ahead, murder my creation if that makes you feel better." And with that, Nim turned and walked back into the temple.
Valetta watched Nim walk away with a look of begrudging respect on her face. Turning back to the party she shrugs, "All of this could have been avoided if you had just destroyed it as you were told." She then approaches the captive. "You said the last order you had was to deliver the rock to someone and then destroy yourself. What was the order previous to that?"
The captive nimblewright began to move his hands at a furious pace. Valetta watched and nodded, occasionally asking a few clarifying questions and eventually announces to the party, "It seems its previous order was to follow a gnome who had stolen the rock. It was told that if it looked like the gnome would escape from the men who were chasing him he was told to throw a bead from a necklace at the gnome. It did think the gnome was going to escape so it did throw a bead."
Taking a few steps back away from the party Valetta continued, "Is that sufficient for your needs? Will you be destroying this automaton or should I make arrangements for it?"
At Kestrell's questions, the captive nimblewright starts signing again. Valetta watches, waiting for it to finish. She then looks to Kestrell, "It says Lady Gralhund gave the orders. All it knows about the rock is that it was important. It has no idea what you're talking about when you ask about a castle."
Looking back to the party, Valetta continues "As I said before, it is late. I would like to wrap this up. You've gotten your answers, now give me mine. Will you be destroying this nimblewright or do I need to do it?"
Selinaes eyes were watering a bit as she picked up the automaton and put it over her shoulder, " We'll work it out when we get home...I need some sleep."
Valetta has a confused look on her face when she speaks again, "You all just told Nim that this creature deserves to die. I've ordered that it be destroyed. Hell, even the creature wishes to cease existing. But rather than killing it, or letting me kill it, you wish to take it home with you? For what purpose? You can't even have a conversation with it!" ending her thoughts with an exasperated tone.
Silver just shrugs looking on in amusement at the conversation that is taking place, he just points to Valetta "I'm with her, we should just kill it now before it kills more innocents with fire."
When they arrive back at the Tavern, Kestrell tells the group.
"OK, so what do we do with Nimwit number 2? Keep it captive? Destroy it?"
"Then, to recap, Lady Gralhund gave it orders to stop a gnome carrying a rock? And it threw the fireball killing alll those kids to stop the gnome."
"And it had a map with the Fairy Castle."
"So we've got to figure out the map with the Fairy Castle, the rock, and what Lady Gralhund was doing. Should we take this info to my main man, Barney Fingerblaster?"
Valetta was taken aback by the caviler attitude of the ranger looking member of the party. As she watched the party leave she tried to remember the last time she was brushed off like this. It certainly hadn't happen since she had been promoted to high priestess. She turned and walked back into the House of Inspired Hands while trying to make sense of the group.
OOC: By the time the group makes it back to the Manor it would be late evening.
Selinae sighed when she got back, " Phaedra, your cluey about magic stuff. Whats the most painless way I can kill this being? I know there no nerves or anything...but....its basically a very well behaved toddler in terms of morals. It feels strange."
Her face tired and drawn she turned towards Kestrell, " Theres no Fairy Castle....its someones name.....".
She put her hand up and rubbed her face trying to summon up the joyful memories of earlier in the day and failing.

"Let's take it to my main mage, Blarney. He may be able to figure out more about it with all of the magic stuff."
Selinae shut up and looked desperately at Phaedra and the others.
"Nim really is an amazing construct Valetta, by the grace of Mystra and Gond."
Phaedra flashes a sign of Mystra.

Selinae listened, it seemed perfectly fair to her....but she remained quiet though there were some slightly raised eyebrows aimed at the assembly.
