"Gash can we just make you invisible beforehand? And Tock could help you be quiet as you approach, and the rest of us could distract her - maybe we can come up with some reason for her to sit down and be still - and then you can come up behind and cast and touch the amulet and then we can all hopefully spend a lot of time explaining what happened as she deals with not wearing a cursed amulet. Gash you identified both her amulets and one of ours, right? Can you tell us more about what they're like and what it's doing to her? Is there a way to find out everything?"
"If someone else makes me invisible... because if I do it as soon as I cast the new spell I'll be revealed. I identified ours. Seems to be some sort of enchantment magic and necromancy I think it was... I don't have much experience with either."
Arcana: 16 to think more about what I identified from our amulets.
Considering what the Minotaur said they did and his intentions, Gash can surmise that the amulets he wanted them to put on almost definitely had a curse on them (the necromancy magic) and probably something like a hex on them as well.
"It definitely had some sort curse on it..." Gash looks over to Tock,"I was going to transcribe it into my spellshard... but if you think it would be more effective from one of you using the scroll that would be just fine. We need to work out a plan though. So far, I could try casting it through Friend... Dog has that invisible idea... and Tock, you seemed to have something in mind as well?" Gash sighs, "I hope removing this curse jogs her memory."

Gash- Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
"What if we got a scroll of invisibility -- could I use it? I've never used a scroll. But I could make you invisible, right? And then you could cast without fear of it going away? Could we ask this priest of Helm more generally about curses and items and try to check our thinking here? Maybe we're very wrong and it will just remove the curse but nothing about Nev changes. Maybe it stops the curse for a brief period but the amulet stays on her and it starts right back up. Maybe it comes off, the curse is removed, and it's traumatic for her or she just doesn't understand and it's terrible and she doesn't remember anything and we can't convince her we're trying to help and she blows up and never wants to see us again. We have no idea, right? Wait, could we experiment on ourselves? Gash gets the spell ready tomorrow, and I put on one of our amulets, and then Gash immediately tries to break the curse and we see what happens? It could be a terrible idea, but it could be a great one that would let us learn a lot."
"We are running out of time though, and we should get to Axonia's inn and do whatever we're going to do. I like the idea of having some people meet her on the walk, and some people go to her room to take a peek for notes. I'm guessing from what Vi said, she won't talk to us on her walk because she's not allowed, but it might be a good distraction. I can disguise myself and also fly to any second-story window should that be necessary. Tock, you probably want to come along for sneaking, traps, locks, and your keen mind. Gash, I could see arguments for both options for you. Martin and Althus, it's up to you, though it might be good for you to test whether you are considered protectors right now under the accords. Maybe she'll meet with you and talk? Worth a try."
"And then the assassin. Would that be the next stop after Axonia?"
Tocksays, "Ok, so my plan is that I disguise myself as a priest of some kind, Helm maybe, wanting to bless her for the road and to bestow a blessing on her. I'll place my hand on her shoulder, touching the amulet and then recite the spell."
"Original Purpose: To guard my creators, a group of scholars who created me to assist in their efforts to explore ruins and areas of significant danger. My sentience came as a surprise to them. I failed in my directive, sustaining critical damage in a labyrinth, and falling into an inactive state for an unknown period of time. They are dead." Bulwark as usual expresses no emotion, visually or tonally, lacking the capacity for facial expression or vocal intoning. Almost imperceptibly, his shoulders lower, and his eyes dim ever so slightly.
Rampart does the equivalent of nod in the manner of warforged by straightening his back and relaxing it again. "The scholars designed you? Or were your re-purposed? Either way, it is interesting to meet someone who was not intended for war."
Rampart clanks a hand onto Bulwark's shoulder. "My companions grow hungry and I shan't keep them waiting any long. Know that you aren't alone, brother," he says with great sincerity in his voice. "I hope to see you again."
With that, Rampart and his two companions find a table in the corner of Bounty and set themselves down for a meal.
(It is nearly 2 pm. What is the plan for everyone next?"
Martin wants to talk to Bulwark, spy on Axonia’s walk, and capture the assassin. Not picky about the order of the last two.
“Bulwark, right? Martin. We haven’t spoken much, really. I’m curious though. It seems like you are... well, different might be making too light of it. What brought you on board with this bunch of chatterboxes?”
Althus nods, "Capturing the assassin is high on the priority list for me, after all I did promise I would. This Nev, perhaps it would be best for me to meet her myself before anyone goes sneaking around and casting spells on people? And as for Axonia, although I find spying distasteful, if the Hells don't want us to see her notes then I suppose there's no other choice. I'm not particularly sneaky myself, so that would probably be best left to someone else."
"Tock, I think thats quite brilliant to be honest." Gash leaves abruptly to the counter to purchase food for himself and his companions seeing as how its afternoon now. He comes back to sit. "I think we have quite a few good ideas. And now we just need to try one."
Looking to Althus, "You're right. She will need to meet Martin as well. We can make her wait another day, she is anxious to leave but I do not think she will do anything rash. She is still Gentoa's mother and while she may be giving her to the Warlock, she will not put her in harm's way."
Dog proposes that he, Tock, and perhaps Gash go to Axonia's inn in a couple hours to get a sense of the building and try to find out exactly where her room(s) is. Dog would cast disguise self to look like a distinguished, slightly older, tall female human and book a room for the night, and then enter the room. Using Message, if Gash is along for the ride, he'd guide Tock and Gash to where his room is so they could gather. He'd have Stitches go stroll around the ceiling outside the room through the rest of the inn, listen at the front desk, look for Vi or anyone who looks at all celestial, and attempt over a couple hours to identify which room they're targeting. He'd then try to see if there is a window or a patio or balcony or exterior window that would provide access. Stitches would then post herself in a corner on a wall or ceiling to see when Axonia leaves for her sunset walk. Once she does, Dog would signal to the others to start moving, and trying to get in through a window if possible, Dog using the winged boots if the window was higher up.
The plan would be that they would look around for traps, locks, and then any documents, hidden compartments, bags, etc to try to find anything useful about the Accords. They would use comprehend languages and the gem of true seeing to look closely and try to comprehend everything they could, and leave within 35 minutes of Axonia's departure.
The other group could try to walk near her and attempt to make contact as she begins to return to the inn, late in the walk.
After this, the whole group could go scope out the assassin's house and plan out something.
Tock eats and nods. Then puts away his wand and takes out his Gem of Seeing (switching attuned items around).
(FYI - Breaking attunement takes a short rest, as does establishing attunement to a new item. So it will take about 2 hours to switch attuned items around.)
(So from 2-4 we stay at the bar, and Tock switches items. Then we go to Axonia's Inn, Dog disguised and getting a room. They prepare. Stitches scouts. What time is sundown these days? The rest of the group wait outside and prepare to follow her wherever Martin learned she takes her walk. Dog, Tock, and maybe Gash go to try sneaking in and look around for a bit and then leave.)
(Sneaking behind her seems like not the best idea for a lot of reasons, true! Maybe, if Martin has any idea where the walk will go from whatever his source is, he could set up along the route?)
Bulwark turns to Martin*, "They found me in an inactive state within a labyrinth. Upon waking, I found that my original purpose, to guard my creators, could no longer be fulfilled, and so I took up a new directive: to guard those who found me."
(*Edit: Oops. Even went back to make sure I had it correct and still managed to say Markus.)
Tock whiles away the middle of the afternoon fiddling with his magical items, releasing the magical connection to one while finding the magical connection to another. The rest spend their time discussing options, checking their gear, and ordering and eating food and drink. (Everyone subtract 5sp from your stash of cash.) As the afternoon drags on, the temperature drops and someone starts up a fire in the hearth. It is now a little after 4pm and the tavern is starting to fill up with an early supper crowd and those looking to get a head start on addling their wits with drink.
