"And this is Tock. He's very sneaky, and useful, and kind. Stones, welcome to whatever endeavor in which we find ourselves. Shall we proceed? I think the chalk idea isn't a bad one, Gregory."
When everyone else is ready, Dog nods at Tock to lead the way, trying to be quiet. He readies his warhammer.
(A little more seriously, with hand on heart) “Oh my. Well it just so happens that helping people in need is a hobby of mine. I will gladly join you and help retrieve your friend. Let’s be off!” Seeing Dog ready his warhammer, Stones draws one scimitar and holds his candle in the other hand high to provide everybody light.
Descending the stairs, the party finds Feytok looking down a stone passageway, a ball of fire floating in his hand. He leads the group as they creep forward until they reach an intersection. Directly ahead is a wider passage bathed in a pink glow. To the left is a short passage that bends back in the direction they have come from.

Gash conjures the chalk and marks the wall as they go here and there.
“Whoa strange...” Gash looks hard at the pink glow without getting any closer than they are trying to decipher if it’s something he’s seen before or knows about.

Gash- Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
He'll quietly suggest checking out the non-pink passageway, just in case there's a surprise back there when they're grappling with whatever's casting a pink light ahead.
“Maybe it’s another portal in there. Or perhaps mood lighting. Stones, does that look like mood lighting to you? You’re a performer. What do you think?”

Dog does a quick check of the dead end to make sure there's nothing interesting in there, and that it's really a dead end: (vanilla d20 4 +3 perception or +2 investigation)
If he finds nothing, he returns to back up Stones as he approaches the pink area. Perception: 23 Stealth 12
Dog truly finds the dead end is empty of anything at all. Joining Stones at the edge of the glowing pink, they see it looks something like a small room with a pair of glowing stones in the middle of it. A hallway leads to the left and another to the right. Two passages appear to leave the far side of the room as well, which also appears to be lit but not by pink. It seems orange in nature. There appear to be no threats in this area, at least.
(ooc sorry i didn't clarify.) Gash will enter the room and approach the stone and as long as nothing happens prior, he will touch the stone and identify.

Gash- Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
As Gash enters the pink aura, it suddenly turns green. The room shortens and, looking around, he sees the passageways are different as well. Touching the stone and casting his spell, he determines that it is imbued with magic that casts Teleport on anyone that enters the boundary of the room. There appear to be no threats immediately visible but at the bottom of the stairs (to the east) is a crumpled humanoid form.

Gash will go check the crumpled form with a dagger in each hand. investigation: 15 for checking out the humanoid, to determine cause of death, if dead, and checking his bags and pockets.

No, Gash does not know what this glow means, except that it does appear to be magical in nature.
Dog listens for any sounds at all.
He'll quietly suggest checking out the non-pink passageway, just in case there's a surprise back there when they're grappling with whatever's casting a pink light ahead.
Creeping around the corner, Dog spies...a dead end.

“Hmm, well I suppose it could certainly set a tone.”
Stones will creep forward to the square right before the pink glow in peer forward.

"If you aren't in a rush... get to know each other while I do a ritual." Gash casts detect magic.

Gash:
The whole room is bathed in Conjuration magic.
“Okay one more moment.” Gash goes to the glowing stones and ritually casts identify

Gash enters the room...and promptly disappears.
