Lusith is just going to keep exploring the ground floor first before heading upstairs, partly looking for anything useful, but mostly in hope that he'll find something, anything, that the evils of this world haven't spoiled.
”Hm. They tore up the place but left the hanging tapestries. Probably so the statue’s eyes wouldn’t see them. Understandable really, this place gives me the creeps...”
Lyle sees Lusith is missing and goes to follow after him. Not exploring, just sort of keeping an eye on him.
Janey will settling by the fire, as she watches the other members of the party move from room to room, exploring the temple. To Melisana "Come and sit with me while the others explore. We should be safe here for now, with the fire for warmth and light."
From her bag, she will remove the two books taken from the locked chests in the ship's hold, and look at them by the light of the fire. [is she able to read either of the books?]

Denethir
Keestake laughs, it's a bit high and hysterical of a laugh, "The island has secrets, and this is the greatest. The Goddess. The King's priests respected, the pirates avoided, only orcs were fools enough to disturb the Goddess' place."

Opening the door at the end of the hall, you are hit....
By the stark difference between this and the last (gotcha!). The walls here where never plastered, nor the floor tiled. Though dirt, leaves and rats still occupy the floor. Two doors on the right side of the hall were not made so well, nor hinged so well, and now lie rotting on the floor.
Lyle & Nicholas
Exiting the door to the north you see you are in an east west running hallway with plastered walls, blue tiles floors. Leaves and dirt lie in piles on the floor. The door on the right is open and you walk through that door into another similar hallway.
Janey
Picking a book at random 1
You open the book and look at the beautifully crafted writing. Each letter is precise, and you can tell that great care was taking in its creation. The letters though are foreign to you, but you feel you should know them, as if they tickled some long forgotten memory.
Eurim will sit next to the fire, glad for the scant warmth. Seeing Janey puzzling over a nicely crafted book, he pauses and looks at it, curious to see if he recognizes the writing (Eurim, surprisingly, is trilingual in common, dwarvish, and elvish - if that makes a difference). Setting the battleaxe by his knee, he cradles the heavy crossbow across his lap, slowly grinding down a bit of salted meat with disinterested stubbornness.
Seeing Eurim settle in beside her, Janey shows him the book "Do you recognize this language?" She asks him. "It feels familiar to me, but I can't quite put my finger on it..."
Eurim will have the same sense regarding the language...
Lusith
Lusith moves to the end of the hall and enters the room furthest on the right. Inside you find a mess of a room, broken wine and ale barrels in racks, empty grain sacks and empty vegetable bins. The floor of the room is covered in rat feces.
Lyle & Nicholas
You are just in time to see Lusith disappear into the room at the end of the hall.
"And what of us?" Denethir frowns as he ekes the information from the old man, concern crossing his face. "It seems entirely possible that this Goddess would consider us to be disturbing her temple, particularly our friends who have wandered off."
The half-elf pondered whether he should put much credence in their guide's ramblings. Solitary confinement on an island for years would certainly turn him mad, he thought.
The language of this one is even stranger, but judging by the sloppy handwriting and wine stains is of much less value. The arrangement of the paragraphs suggest something more of a journal with some kind of numbering system, maybe dates in the top right corner of each entry.
Lusith
Nothing salvageable in the room, except wood that can be used for the fire.
Denethir
Keestake waggles a finger at you. "The King's men preserved the temple, the pirates stayed away, I have been in and out of it for many years. Take care of your actions toward the Goddess."
Lyle and Nicholas
You catch up with Lusith as he looks through the room.
Nicholas looks around, “Should we be doing this with the others?Just in case we find something dangerous?”
“I mean... yeah, probably. But he seems so happy, look at him.” Lyle waves back as Lusith waves to them. “I’d hate to take that away from him just because death and doom wait for him.”
Hearing some of this, Lusith will try to reassure them, "Don't worry, I'm sure we're safe here in this temple. Only a powerful fiend or other dark entity would harm us here. So you can relax, what are the odds of running into something like that?"

Lyle just starts rubbing his eyes. He whispers in a strained voice to Nicholas “I swear, it’s like he’s wishing for it. He might as well have ‘Kill me first’ written on his shirt as he starts backing into doorways.”
